Chapter 2: Chapter 2: New World

For those who don't know who Gremmy Thoumeaux is:

(Image)

Height: 155 cm (5'1)

Race: Human/Quincy

Power: "V" The Visionary- Anything he imagines becomes reality

Weaknesses: Never has been outside of the basement Yhwach put him in except during the second Quincy invasion. Needs to be careful of what he is imagining because if he imagines himself dying or losing a battle that is what will happen. If it is not something that he created, he has to actively keep imagining that very thing. Example: Turning Yachiru Kusajishi bones into cookies. Since he didn't create them, he has to keep focusing on it or it will be undone.

Appeared in the Bleach: TYBW anime during episode 20 of the second core.

A jarring headache surged through my skull, its impact reverberating like a constant banging. Gradually, the shroud of confusion that had enveloped my consciousness began to dissipate, revealing a dimly lit room as my eyelids fluttered open. The obscurity yielded to the feeble illumination, painting an eerie scene before me.

As I mustered the strength to sit upright, my gaze fell upon the surroundings. A bed, its pristine white starkly contrasting against the darkness, cradled me in its embrace. The room itself remained draped in shadows, illuminated only by scant traces of light that struggled to pierce through the obscurity, casting an aura of mystery upon every corner.

"Where am I now?" I attempted to utter, only to be seized by an excruciating surge of pain, as if a celestial onslaught had erupted within my mind. Through this searing agony, memories of the previous body's owner surged like a breached dam, flooding my awareness with a torrent of emotions, sensations, and experiences that swept me away in their tumultuous tide.

"I see, so I'm currently being held by Yhwach, separate from the rest of the quincies." Gremmy was kept in this dark room away from the rest of the quincies because of his abilities. According to Gremmy's, now my memories, the only people I interacted with were Yhwach and another quincy named Liltotto Lamperd.

Yhwach only talked to me if he needed me to do something, and Liltotto was the only other quincy to talk to me without fear or disgust in her tone. You could say that she was Gremmy's only friend even though we barely talked.

Because of the scared tone I got from the other quinicies, it led to Gremmy, now me, to develop an arrogant personality which was one of the reasons for Gremmy's downfall in the original material.

Sigh. "I hope that the arrogant side of his personality doesn't affect me too much."

Ignoring the personality problem, I focus my attention to the bigger problem at hand.

"How am I going to get out of here?"

Seated on the pristine white bed, I was immersed in an enveloping shroud of near-total darkness within the room. Deep in contemplation, I wrestled with thoughts of escape from my current predicament.

"I guess I should get used to my powers first."

I stuck out my hand and began imagining something small, a mouse. But before I could complete any coherent thought, I felt a slight tickle on top on my head. I raised my hand to my head to feel what had fallen on my head.

I heard a crumpling sound at I grabbed my head. "Huh, a piece of paper".

I brought my hand down and read what was on the paper.

"Old man here, you must be wondering on why I wrote this note, well let me tell you. You are still under Yhwach's control by the time you have received this note and before you throw a temper tantrum calling me a liar and such. I did it so that Yhwach won't notice a sudden disappearance in part of his power. So, I made it so that his power will slowly dwindle inside of you over the next three months. So, before the three-month mark, I recommend you stay where you are and get familiar with your current abilities. PS, try not to go insane before the three-month mark. Sincerely, the old man"

I could only sigh in defeat after reading the old man's note.

"I guess I'll just sit here in this room for the next three months trying out my abilities."

"I should try imagining things to help make this room a bit more comfortable."

[3 months later]

In the midst of my slumber, cocooned in a bean bag chair and cradling headphones, a sudden jolt surged through me. It was as if the plug had been pulled from the internet router, severing the ties of digital connectivity that had bound me. In that fleeting moment, a sensation of liberation washed over, akin to the release of captive bonds, leaving me unburdened and free.

I jump up in happiness.

"Finally, I can leave this dump of a place."

During the three months in this hell hole, I thoroughly tested the limits of my imagination. I quickly found out that I had something the original Gremmy didn't have, a limit. If I overused my ability or attempted to make something massive, my stamina like an mp bar in a video game will quickly diminish. But not all was bad because I found out that I can increase said mp bar by constantly using my powers like you would a muscle.

So, for the last three months I have pushed my imagination just before the limit. Only just before because if I go over the limit, I will experience excruciating headaches and will start to bleed from my eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. So, I try to stay under the threshold.

I also spent some time during the three months planning on how I am going to get out of here. After some thinking, I came to the conclusion that the best thing to do is just teleport to Karakura town. It's the safest place considering my other two options are the Soul Society who hates new visitors and Hueco Mundo, which is just a desolate warzone everywhere you go. I don't have much of an option and since I know what it looks like, I should be able to imagine myself being teleported there.

I quickly attempted to formulate a picture of the Karakura town I saw in the anime. After a bit of trying to remember what Karakura town looks like in the anime, I disappeared from my current position without a trace.

[Karakura town]

Upon the pinnacle of a soaring skyscraper, a figure materialized with an air of enigmatic arrival. This short-statured youth, sporting a cascade of blond locks, seemed to emerge from the very fabric of the atmosphere itself. His presence exuded an aura of intrigue as he cast his gaze upon the urban expanse, a mixture of curiosity and wonder painting his features. Evidently fatigued from some mysterious undertaking, the youth's lithe form gradually succumbed to weariness, and he slumped wearily onto the loftiest platform of the towering edifice.

With a languid grace, he stretched out upon the rooftop, his countenance tilting upward to meet the expansive night sky. Starlight painted his features as he lay there, a solitary figure beneath the cosmic tapestry.

"hu...hu....hu...hu I finally made it out."

A surge of ecstatic elation coursed through me as the confines of that solitary room became a distant memory. My eyes, resembling pools of rich honey, lifted to the heavens in a dance of exhilaration. The stars, like scattered diamonds in the night sky, enticed my curiosity—though perhaps it was the curiosity of the person I now inhabited. The celestial panorama held me spellbound, its beauty reminiscent of a divine masterpiece, a painting woven by the hands of gods.

I laughed.

I laughed with all the fervor my wearied body could summon. To an external observer, it might have appeared as if I had succumbed to madness. Yet, within the depths of my being, I understood—I comprehended that my laughter was the epitome of sanity itself.

I was happy beyond believe.

"If this is what it feels like to be free, then I can't imagine a world without it."
