Chapter 69: APOLOGIES II

Mabel later left after we have broken the hug and had regained our composure. My thoughts started to clear and it suddenly dawned on me that I hadn't seen Rex throughout all this. Where was he?

"Syd, did you not tell your mom everything that has been happening at school?" Jude asked, pulling my attention back to the group.

I looked at him, puzzled by his question.

"Well, she knows now," Jude continued. "When Rex rushed you to the hospital, your mom was understandably concerned. Surprisingly, he explained things to her, absolutely everything."

"My mom knows everything now? I mean, from the start..." I trailed off, seeking confirmation.

"Yes, she does," Lily confirmed. "Rex filled her in on everything that happened from the very beginning."

"I never expected to see him like that," Alex remarked.

"What do you mean?" I inquired, curious about his observation.
