Chapter 36: I want you

Emmaline's jaw dropped. 

"What?" She managed. 

Ashton held her gaze, sincerity radiating from him. 

"Keep your one million, the previous contract is over but I want a new contract," He grinned, looking a little like the carefree heir she had thought he was when they first met. 

Mr Wright, did the shock of my identity drive you crazy? 

"We click really well, you hold up even in my social circle, and Layla likes you," Ashton explained, "If I'm going to have a shot at inheriting, it's still with you. I would have hired you regardless of whether you're a man or a woman."

Emmaline's brain felt like it was scrambling to keep up. 

Of course Ashton wouldn't care about this sort of thing. 

He had seen her for her, for her talent. 

But this was all too crazy. 

"How are we going to explain this to your parents? And everyone else who's met me?" She panicked slightly at the thought of just how many people she had deceived.
