Her heart was pounding as she walked down the stairs, unable to explain why she felt so bad.
"Right here." When they got down the stairs, they turned again and found the long table.
She immediately felt pain in her stomach when she saw so much food on the table.
The young man was alone, looking serious, and looking at her.
She showed her where to sit and quickly turned to the table.
"A-are these the meats of animals?" she asked. No matter how hungry she was, she would never eat human flesh.
Wait, do vampires eat humans? Or just sucking their blood?
The young man's eyes filled her with seriousness as he took the fork.
"It's meat from a pig." It's a serious response before chewing.
She looked at the food on the table; it looked like food.
"Don't worry, I won't let you eat your kind." He meaningly answered. She rolled her eyes, and she just looked at the young man and nodded.
She took a piece of food and put it on her plate. The surroundings were dark, but just right so she could see the food at the table properly.
She also noticed that their spoon and fork were not silver.
She started with food; she had to eat so that no matter what, she was going to be ready.
The table was quiet; only the noise of the plates could be heard in every corner of the dining room. In that room, there were only two of them.
"You're a prince?" She interrupted. The young man looked at her.
"I am; you'll be my bride soon. Then, I'll be the king." She looked at the food, and her mind deepened again.
Is there any possibility that she will be a vampire soon? She doesn't want that.
"I'll be a vampire too?" She voiced what was on her mind.
"A must; vampires can smell human blood. If they smell your blood and I am not around, I can't protect you." She looked at Prince Elon and laughed a little.
"Protect me? You might even hurt me." Her behavior was sarcastic.
"I just saved you from the monster of the forest last time." They seemed to be fighting over the look of the eyes; she didn't really know where she was getting the courage to stare it in the eyes.
She should be scared, but something inside her is telling her not to be afraid of this prince.
"I won't hurt my soon-to-be wife." She gave the prince a bad look. It's repeated that she's going to be a wife; did he even ask her if she really wanted to?
"I am 19, and I have life ahead. Since you are vampires, you don't care about your future!" She dropped the cutlery on the table, raging at the young man.
He just looked at her as if he were calm.
"You will be a vampire soon; you don't need to worry about your future."
She pointed at him with anger in her heart.
"I have a family, a sister, and a father! Since you don't have that kind of family, you know nothing about being separated from the family!" The young man quickly grabbed her arm. Suddenly, her fear grew when he released his fangs.
"You didn't even know us; this is why I hate humans. They judge easily just because we are not alike in doing normal things and the things you've expected." His tone is serious, like leaving her a warning not to say anything.
Prince Elon quickly stood up and left her there, leaving her holding her wrists. Prince Elon's hand is cold as ice. It feels like she was being touched by a dead body.
She sat down again and rubbed her palm on her face, tears flowing again. She didn't know what she was going to face, and she couldn't just sit there and do nothing.
She was in her room after the argument, not knowing if it was really an argument because he had walked out.
She was in a cold bed, and she felt like she was going crazy. She had to find a way. She had to do something to keep her away from being here.
She knew there was a way, and she thought about what it was.
She's just staring at the top of the ceiling, where her brain would be if she didn't use it.
Did she spend a lot of time in school only to be imprisoned in the vampire tribe?
She stood up and quickly approached the window, peering down. It was impossible for her to get down because her room was so high from below.
She looked at the door; it was the only way she could get out. She had never seen any vampires except Prince Elon and the woman who was with her earlier. She quickly turned around, slowly opening it, and immediately, when she slightly opened it, she looked around to see if anyone was around.
When she was sure there was nothing, she quickly went out. She stuck to the walls as she looked for a way out.
"Did you hear that Prince Elon was getting married?"
She quickly hid in the large vase when she heard a loud voice.
"Really?"
"To someone, apparently a human!"
"Is it true? Oh goodness, history repeats itself!"
The voices quickly disappeared, ignoring what they were saying. She quickly continued to look for the door.
She went down the steep stairs. Her way wasn't easy because there was more to go around.
When she saw an open door, she immediately went out.
There were no vampires around, so she continued to move away from that old palace.
She started to run to the tall grass just to get away completely, because of the fierce and dark surroundings made her no longer remember where she had gone.
She also had to run so that the prince's men could not reach her.
It was dark, and she didn't have a flashlight. She was staring into the darkness.
She didn't complain and continued running until she tripped and rolled.
"Ouch--," she cried, her knees pounding on the ground.
She hadn't changed her clothes before, so she didn't have enough clothing to protect her body.
She sat down and squeezed her knees.
"T-there's blood! I am dead!" That made her nervous.
She didn't know how strong the vampires smelled, but that was enough for them to find her.
She had to get out of that place. She had to get out of that place.
"Crr-"
She was terrified to hear the familiar sound, almost burying herself in the ground so that it wouldn't catch her.
"Awooh!"
Her body was shaking because she felt that there wasn't only one sound coming from it but a lot of them.
She stopped for a moment to observe her surroundings. She turned around because she felt something strange.
"Hmm, a human." Her blood was almost lost when someone suddenly appeared in front of her.
It's a vampire!
But it's not like Prince Elon; it has a dark aura. Darker than the prince.
"What a delicious surprise." He slowly approached her, not knowing what to do. Her legs and tears were shaking.
"Prince Elon!" She shouted, hoping that he could hear her voice.
