Chapter 7: Sunnyside amusement park part 1
After having dinner yesterday, Braydon and i decided to go to the amusement park in the afternoon we would have went in the morning but Braydon said that he had some work to do in the morning, so we couldn't go then.
I was kind of happy, though, as it gave me more time to prepare, I don't know when it started, but after living in the mansion and interacting with Braydon for a few days I just couldn't help but want to impress him at any chance I got
Maybe it was just gratitude since I had only known Braydon for four days, i wanted to show him that i was worth taking in, because honestly the time I had spent with him and the rest of the people in the mansion was better than the life I lived in my past life
What if it was just me who had this feeling? What if admitting them broke the fragile relationship that we had, if you could even call it, that. I would rather be friends with Braydon than mean nothing to him.
I decided to wear an oversized T-shirt and some jeans. It was hard for me to figure out what I was going to wear since the clothes that were provided for me were different from what i normally wore or were seen in the 1600s.
They were some gowns,but I wanted to try something new. I asked a maid called Rose to help me. Rose and I had gotten close over the past few days, and she was one of the few people I was comfortable with in the mansion. Maybe it was because me and her had some similarities in my past life.
Rose had also come from a poor family and was working as a maid, but the reason she was doing was different from mine, i was working as a maid because it was one of the few things that women could do in the 1600s that actually paid real money but she was working to pay for her younger siblings tuition.
She helped me get ready in the morning from the clothes to the shoes, and from the hair to the makeup, I was skeptical at first, but she said that this was what girls wore now adays and that I had to wear them if I wanted to impress Braydon
....
It was 12:46, but Braydon hadn't come yet. He was supposed to come and pick at 12 o'clock, but he wasn't here yet, so i was waiting for him in the living room.
"Jasmine, we can go now." I heard a voice, but I knew it was Braydon since he was the only one who called me by my name
I decided to ask him what had happened since we had an appointment for 12, but he wasn't there . "ok, what took you so long? I thought we were going to go 12 o'clock."
Braydon answered, " Yes, we were, but there was some traffic on the road. If I had known, I would have left the office earlier."
"ok sure let's go." I started before I realized that Braydon was still in his business suit. "Wait, are you going to go like that."
"Yes." Braydon said, clearly not realizing what was wrong with his outfit
"we are going to an amusement park. You can't go dressed like that. You would look like my body guard instead of my friend." I told Braydon, time like this, I was really glad for Aunt Mad. If she hadn't been giving me those lessons to expand my vocabulary, I wouldn't have known what to say right now
"Then what should I wear." Braydon said
" I don't know I T-shirt and jeans like me." I said since I didn't know anything about men's style
"ok." Braydon voiced before he turned around and headed towards the stairs,
It was clear that we were going to be late today

Braydon came down from the stairs and asked
" What do you think."
What did I think he, i think he is a God who bestowed me with his presence. He was just too handsome. He looked good in the suits, but wearing casual just added a charm to his beauty, but I couldn't say that, so instead, I said
"You look good."
Braydon smiled he was clearly satisfied with my answer. That was the first time I had seen him smile like that he looked so good when he did
"You should smile more." I told him, but before I could admire the smile more, he stopped
"Why did you stop smiling." I asked him confused, but instead of answering, he told me
"We don't have time for this. We have to get to the amusement park before evening." Before proceeding to pull me to the car
" ok." I decided that I was going to let it go for now since getting to the amusement park was more important
