Chapter 48: Divine Duel: Zoro vs. Enel.
"Is this guy some kind of monster?" thought the warriors of Shandia. "What should we do now?" asked Raki with nervousness. Wyper looked down as he mulled over Gohan's words.
"Raki!!!" Aisa came running towards them. "Aisa! What were you thinking? Do you know how worried we were? And why are you with those guys?" asked Raki while reprimanding her. Aisa's expression changed, and she replied with an awkward smile, "I came to Upper Yard to collect some Vearth."
"What??" shouted some of the warriors in shock. Aisa nervously looked towards Wyper and saw that he was also looking at her with an angry face, so she quickly hid behind Raki. "That's not important! When I was collecting the Vearth, I sensed someone approaching from behind. When I looked back, suddenly Big Brother Gohan appeared before me. I have never sensed anyone as fast as Big Brother Gohan," said Aisa with an amazed look on her face.
Everyone looked towards Gohan in fear. "He told me that his friends were going to defeat Enel and his army and that we can live in Upper Yard again. He even gave me candies," said Aisa as she showed them the bag of candy.
Raki looked at the bag of candy, and just as she was about to touch it, Aisa hid it behind her and said, "This is mine!" Everyone sweat-dropped after hearing her. "Why are you traveling with them?" asked Raki.
"Big Brother Gohan said that it was dangerous for me to be alone in this place, so he took me with him. They were trying to find some City of Gold. That's how we ended up here. But you won't believe what happened after we arrived here," said Aisa with an excited face.
"What happened?" asked Raki, perplexed by Aisa's enthusiasm. "Enel showed up; he wanted to attack Big Brother Gohan, but Big Brother Gohan grabbed him like a chicken and threw him towards the captain guy, who also caught him with ease. Then they took him somewhere else. It was so awesome!" said Aisa in excitement.
Shandians were dumbfounded after hearing that. "Enel got treated like a chicken?!!" muttered Raki. "So, he was right. We really are weak," said Wyper as he stood up. "Wyper..." said Kamakiri in worry. "That means we have to become stronger to protect our home," said Wyper with determination.
Meanwhile, with Luffy and others, "This should be a good place to fight," said Zoro. They looked towards Enel, who was hitting Luffy with his Trident, but it wasn't working. "What is your body made of?!!" shouted Enel in frustration.
Luffy looked towards Zoro, who nodded his head. Luffy released Enel from his grip. Just as he got released, Enel created some distance between Luffy and himself. "You have made a big mistake by releasing me," said Enel while rubbing his neck. He was about to say more, but Zoro cut him off. "And now you are going to make us pay, right? Let's get to the point and start the fight. I hope that you won't disappoint me, Mr. God!" said Zoro as he unsheathed two of his swords.
"Do you think just because you guys can touch me, you will be able to defeat me? I can sense from my mantra that you guys are not that strong. There should be some kind of tricks that you are using to touch me, but now you are going to witness the true greatness of the power of a..." But Enel couldn't finish his words as he had to dodge a flying slash.
"I told you, it's time to fight," said Zoro with a smile. Enel's cheek had a small cut because of the slash. "You insolent bastard!!" shouted Enel as lightning started to dance around him. Sanji gave the fruit basket to Luffy and said, "If you touch even a single fruit, I will tell Gohan about it." Luffy pouted but took the basket.
Zoro appeared before Enel while dodging all the lightning and tried to cut him into two pieces, but Enel turned into lightning and dispersed. Since Enel's Observation Haki was a lot stronger than Zoro's, he was able to dodge Zoro's attacks.
Suddenly Enel touched Zoro's shoulder. "Release!" he shouted and electrocuted Zoro. But Zoro only felt a little shock. "Is this your best shot?" mocked Zoro. Enel frowned and shouted, "One million volts... Thunder Bird."
Zoro got hit by a bird of lightning. He felt a burning sensation all over his body but only gritted his teeth. "That hurts, you bastard!!" shouted Zoro. "It was supposed to hurt more than that!" Enel shouted back. "Oye! Moss head! Why aren't you using Armament Haki to protect yourself?" asked Sanji.
"Because my opponent can't use it. I am only going to use it to attack him, since he is a Logia user," replied Zoro without looking at him. Just then, Enel appeared in front of him and attacked with his Trident. Zoro crossed his swords and stopped his attack.
Enel then started attacking him with Trident in high speed. "What happened? You were acting tough just a few minutes ago, and now, you are only defending. Is this how you are going to defeat me?" Enel started mocking Zoro. Zoro stopped his Trident with his swords but Enel attacked him with his lightning.
"Ten million volts... El Thor!!" shouted Enel. "Shit!! ... Ack..." Zoro got hit by Enel's attack and got down to his knees. "Dumbass!!" muttered Sanji. "See! You guys are not strong enough to defeat a God," said Enel.
Zoro stood up and unsheathed his Wado Ichimonji. "A strong opponent at last, I can finally go all out," said Zoro and gripped Wado Ichimonji with his teeth. He unleashed his Haki. His hair turned spiky as he was surrounded by a greenish aura.
"Three Sword Style... Vanishing Swordsman," said Zoro and appeared before Enel. Enel defended himself with his Trident but got sent flying fifty meters away. 'His strength and speed have increased so much,' thought Enel.
Enel looked towards Zoro but didn't see him there, but suddenly Zoro's voice sounded beside him. "Where are you looking at?" said Zoro and slashed at him. Enel tried to dodge but he was a little late.
Both of his earlobes got cut from Zoro's attack, and he started to bleed. "Look, I cut your ears to normal size," mocked Zoro. Enel gritted his teeth in pain and anger. An insane amount of lightning started to dance around him. His body turned into lightning, he got bigger, and his Trident also got covered in lightning.
"Hundred million volts... Wreath of God!!!" shouted Enel as a huge beam of
light fell onto Zoro. "BOOM...." a huge explosion rang out. When the smoke cleared, Zoro was standing inside a huge crater. Smoke was coming out from his body, his clothes were tattered, and there were burnt marks all over his body.
Suddenly his swords dropped to the ground, he vomited a mouthful of blood, and fell to the ground.
