Chapter 5: Sakumo-sensei

I visited the Konoha library and obtained the Body Flicker Technique, a D-rank jutsu. Back when I was a genin, I hadn't been taught it; I was just sent straight to the battlefield. Additionally, I picked up the four basic jutsu for every elemental nature. While I didn't yet possess these nature transformations, I believed that with my talent, I could expedite the learning process.

I dedicated time to training in the Body Flicker Technique. At first, I felt nervous, but I quickly grasped the technique's essence. The efficiency of the Body Flicker Technique depended on the user's abilities, and with my inherent talent, I found it relatively easy to learn. After all, it's considered an entry-level jutsu, straightforward in its execution. Its efficacy and proficiency, however, varied from user to user, with some naturally excelling at it more than others.

Initially, my control over the flicker technique was rather sloppy. However, as I persisted, my proficiency improved gradually. Over a span of three days, my skills with the technique evolved to the point of being reasonably adept. Though more training was undoubtedly necessary, I felt content with the progress I had achieved.

The next challenge on my agenda was mastering nature transformation. While traditionally, having a mentor was advisable for such endeavors, I felt confident enough to attempt it on my own. I started with fire, understanding that comprehending the properties and weaknesses of the transformation was essential. I ignited a fire and attempted to manipulate its properties. Surprisingly, I achieved success in this endeavor. For the following day, I continued refining this technique. This practice not only honed my chakra control but also enabled me to emit short bursts of fire. As time progressed, I extended the duration of these bursts. Over the subsequent three weeks, I delved into nature transformations for all elemental natures: fire, lightning, and wind.

The talent wish was a blessing I'm glad i had such foresight the JUtsuu i had picked to earlier were

For the following week, I dedicated myself to learning and honing my proficiency in these ninjutsu. With these techniques, I had attained a level of proficiency that satisfied me. I decided to put a pause on learning new ninjutsu for the time being, opting to focus on mastering the foundational skills I had acquired. These will be my only Jutsu for a while I will definitely master these.

It took months of dedicated training had led to tremendous progress, and I felt satisfied with my enhanced abilities. I had officially reached the level of a chunin-level combatant. As the time came for my next meeting with Sakumo, I headed to the cemetery. I acted as if I were paying respects to my father while discreetly checking for Kakashi, who was absent. Realizing this, I walked over to Sakumo's grave and initiated the convergence with him.

Sakumo appeared, and without delay, I saluted him and said, "Sensei." Sakumo responded, "Ready to start your training?" However, I interrupted, "Wait, sensei, I have a question." I wanted to know what Sakumo experienced when he returned after being deconverged.

Sakumo took a moment to ponder the question and then answered, "I just reappeared here, as if no gap in time existed. It felt like a second, and I'm back here talking to you." While intrigued by his response, I put the thought aside. "Sensei, I'm ready," I declared.

We proceeded to training ground 3, located deep within the forest. Sakumo assessed my physical condition before guiding me through various exercises. He then requested, "Show me your taijutsu."

As we sparred, I could sense Sakumo's disappointment. "You only know academy-level taijutsu, but you're from the Senju clan. It doesn't make sense," he remarked. Sakumo decided to focus on teaching me taijutsu from scratch, beginning with the basics of Hatake-style taijutsu—a combination of the techniques he had acquired over his extensive career.

The two hours spent training under Sakumo's guidance were invaluable. He not only refined my physical skills but also instilled ideals that were shaping me into a more accomplished shinobi. He was molding my ideals. The training was intense and transformative, yet as the session neared its end, I felt a pull on my soul, leading to Sakumo's deconvergence.

The experience was incredibly enriching for me, and I understood that if anyone were to witness these interactions, they might perceive me as somewhat crazy but it didn't matter.

Over the next months, me and Sakumo trained for 2 hours a day The time was slowly increasing though he taught me valuable things like taijutsu and helped me to use my current abilities better. I had bought a saber at that time with the money from my time in the war that was now coming to a close. He trained me to use the saber taught me all his techniques his guidance was crucial. If any from my old class or my squad in the war were to see me they would be surprised. I was now more mature and Sakumo had gotten used to each other We were pretty close he was molding me to be a great shinobi.

Sakumo acknowledged my talent he told me "You are an exceptional pupil your talent may exceed my sons" he said with a downtrodden expression. I saluted and said, "Thank you sensei!" Everything was going smoove.

and just like that four months passed

I was now 15 I was basically a seasoned Chunin, the only problem was my experience and my lack of near-death combat situations. Sakumo told me now I had to experience the world I needed to take a mission but I would need to form a chunin team.
