Chapter 30: The Captain of Red-Hair pirates: Part 2

Kizaru's Pov:  I employed future sight to look five seconds into the future and I saw myself form a light sword while imbuing it in the strongest armament haki possible in order to minimize the damage. That turned out to be the wrong move as the next second, I didn't have hands. I came back to the present, and i imbued my entire body using all my haki as the red-haired pirate arrived in front of me at in a surprise burst of speed i couldn't react to properly, his saber covered in a dangerous form of a haki a rookie definitely shouldn't poses, especially at this age. He swung said saber towards my midsection and the moment it made contact with my navel, i went unconscious for a brief second before i was returned to reality and found myself flying through the air at speeds i hadn't yet achieved with my body feeling like i was hit with a punch from an angry Sengoku in his Buddha form with armament haki no less. I used my observation haki to check the state of my body as I flew through the forest and out of it into a farm leaving behind a path of destruction and eventually into the capital city of Boomecks island.*Boom*, Boom*,*Thud*. *cough , cough,cough*. I was bleeding with multiple fractured bones and organs as well as two paralyzed arms that will take a long time to properly heal.That attack seems to also have dealt some pretty intense internal damage. *Cough ,cough,cough,cough*, i coughed a mouthful of blood as I laid in the middle of the street. The locals were panicking ,but I couldn't hear their voices as I was in my own world contemplating my life choices and how I got to this point. 'It wasn't like I thought I would never get defeated and was invincible. No, that was hammered into my head the moment I was put under Admiral Sengoku, and we started hunting pirates in the new world like crazy for months on end since the start of this year. During this experience of my career, I witnessed the power truly powerful pirates held and it was a sort of a humbling period. That inspired me to take my haki and devil fruit training seriously which I did for six months straight and I managed to awaken future sight through a combination of training and continuous fights with strong opponents as we continued our hunt. I told Sengoku I wanted to get stronger and his response was to fight more as battles stimulated potential better than training ever could. During that time,in a twist of fate, we happened to run into the John Pirates led by captain John, a notorious pirate known for his greed for treasures and wealth. While not the strongest pirate around, he certainly was powerful and crafty, worthy of his 2.5 billion beri bounty. He managed to capture a squadron of marines while I clashed with some of his crew members who proved to be troublesome due to their experience and haki.  Sengoku continuously clashed with him until he threatened to have them gunned down. I , in a bout of arrogance, tried to attack him but he managed to evade me which signaled the pirates to kill the captured marines. All I felt the next instant was an intense pressure that came from Sengoku and the armed pirates fell down the next instant and I let down my guard, a mistake I still regret today. I heard Captain John click his tongue before I heard Admiral Sengoku shout," Watch out", and I felt danger the next instant. I tried to use my devil fruit to escape but it was too late as I felt the impact of a sword against my body before I could turn into light particles and I was bleeding profusely from my eyes and ears the next instant. I slowly fell down as my internal organs felt out of place and I started to cough blood in shock. While it wasn't the first time I had bled in my entire  life, it was the first time I had bled since I ate my devil fruit which was when I was twenty five years old. I blacked out a minute later and I woke up seven days later on a hospital bed. The next couple of weeks were a blur. I tried to come to terms with the events that lead up to it. A large scar graced my stomach as a stark reminder of that event. I eventually got over it and got back to training with a renewed sense of purpose that was extinguished a month later as the death of captain john was announced to my division by the intel gathering division.  I felt empty for a time and operated on autopilot for months on end. I eventually got my shit together last month and now I'm once again reminded of why I act lazy in order to avoid troublesome missions from the higher ups. Hunting and fighting pirates is just not my thing and has become a troublesome part of my life at this point.' As I finished that thought I slowly stood up, with a shadow covering my face that was adorned in blood as my yellow glasses shined. I ignored the panicking civilians and slowly limped out of the center of the city while still bleeding and breathing heavily. I eventually spotted an empty alley that I quickly moved to. I sat on the block of bricks while leaning on the wall to catch my breath. While the fight didn't seem all that long, it actually went on for at least 45 minutes by my estimates. 'And his strength didn't wane the entire time which meant he had a strong body that could operate for a long time. That's a scary thought. Having that kind of speed, strength, reaction time and that amount of stamina, he'll definitely be a nightmare for many.' As I finished thinking about that red haired pirate with two scars on his left eye, I felt my den den mushi ring. I took it out of my pocket and accepted the call. A second later, I heard a calm voice speak in a calm tone," Kizaru, have you captured Bjorn as ordered?". I was silent for a moment before a resigned sigh escaped my lips and I responded in a tired tone," No, unfortunately. There were some technical complications as I seem to run into some trouble. Nothing too I can't handle though, Sengoku-san". There was a minute of silence before I heard Sengoku's calm voice resound once again with an air of seriousness,"Explain".
