Chapter 26: Supernatural
"Welcome back, Rito!" Rito returned from his workout as Mikan was preparing the lunch, and it appeared that Haruna had also exited the bathroom with water dripping from her wet hair, despite the fact that it was tied back with a towel.
Her fair skin was also showing through her waist, and the short top she was wearing was sticking up on the upper portion of her waist and chest.
"I am back!" Rito's attention was drawn to Haruna as she answered Mikan's call because of her striking beauty and the natural freshness that surrounded her demeanor.
Even though he made every effort to keep his gaze away from Haruna, Rito would undoubtedly react when he saw her giving him this kind of look.
However, Haruna could only smile and chuckle to herself as she observed the subtle change in Rito's expression.
'How awkward!' Rito shook his head and nodded before entering the bathroom and shutting the door while taking a deep breath to calm his mind.
However, he suddenly remembered something and sensed his younger brother reacting once more.
Rito closed his eyes while lying in the bathtub to calm himself, but for some reason, after having that night with Lala, he started to become more aware of these things because he realized it was the same bathtub as Haruna, Mahiru-chan, and Mikan's.
Prior to this, Rito did not frequently react this strongly to Mikan's actions and expressions, but as a result of her most recent behavior, he began to change his attitude toward Mikan as well.
Rito began to become more aware of his younger sister and to realize that his memories from a previous life and his recollections of the 'forbidden relationship' in manga and novels had changed him a little. Although it was wrong, he still felt enticed by it.
'Calm down, Yuuki Rito.' Rito continued to mutter as if repeating the mantra until he got up to go back to his room to change into some comfortable clothes and discovered Beta coming from the window.
"You know, we had a proper door too, plus, I still wanted all of you to meet other girls too."
Rito spoke while looking at Beta, who appeared to be enjoying the berry and laughed at Rito's comments. Beta then pulled out a note and gave it to Rito.
"There are some strong powers that are being hidden, but the most important aspect is that the power system in this world is surely different than we had thought it to be."
Rito's attention sharpened more than usual as he watched Beta and listened to her describe Blood Essence, Sacred Gear, Ayakashi, and even Equivalent's contract with a mythical beast to increase its power as a hero, among other things.
"Then is there someone called a fourth progenitor or something in this world?"
Rito kept asking questions and realizing that fallen angels and demons mix in society, but that they are all much more hidden than the ones he had read about in the high school DXD he had read about in the previous world.
Beta shook her head because she was certain that Doctor Mikado had not revealed anything about it.
"No wonder, people here are really adaptive about such things as aliens and all; not to mention, even Lala's father will not be confident enough to try to rule the earth."
After hearing about the hidden aspects of the planet and the world, Rito began to doubt whether his strength was actually at its peak on this planet or not.
As a result, he began to feel a rush of strength grow within him.
Rito has long wondered why Lala Father, who was powerful enough to destroy a planet, did not rule the earth at all. But hearing the details, he knew he had a clear idea of the reason why.
"So, what is your assessment of their actual one-to-one combat strength? Also, is it dangerous for us to try to expand our influence in the information industry?"
As an otaku in his previous world, finding mythical creatures like them was similar to finding love in his world.
Rito's eyes twinkled as he heard about Yokai and all.
"Yes! Even more, we established contact with one of the groups, and Alpha went to negotiate while they ordered the monster deathcore from our world."
Rito's eyes widened in surprise as he recalled the term "deathcore," which referred to a mine in Shadow World that was essentially a crystallization of the miasma energy of the dead.
As a result, the system had apparently placed a high value on this quest and had gotten them one related to it.
Despite extensive research into the death core up to this point, Rito and Eta were only able to hand it over to the system in exchange for system points and were unable to unleash the deathcore's full potential.
"We are now making contact with them for a few days, and they are also looking forward to meeting you."
Rito, who appeared to be in charge of this enigmatic group, appeared to have no other options but to force the opposing party to attempt to unravel the mystery surrounding their organization's sudden appearance as a secret.
"As for their battle power, they are strong and mysterious, but after fighting and looking at their tricks, it is not that hard to counter them and defeat them."
Other than the seven shadows, the majority of the girls engage in combat with the opposing group.
At first, their mysterious power held them in a deadlock, but later, they were given the opportunity to deal significant damage as well.
"That means mana can inflict damage on them." Rito smiled. Beta only nodded in agreement with what he said; she did not begin to leave the room.
However, before leaving, she jumped back to give him a cheek kiss.
"These little ones are messing with me." Rito shook his head and said, "I need to get stronger," but first he walked down to see Mikan and the others getting ready for breakfast and sitting down at the table.
"Rito! Come quick and join us." Rito felt a little off at the moment, but was unable to pinpoint what it was as he looked at Haruna, who was conversing with Mahiru as they both turned to look at him together.
As a sense of lust and love entwined within the room, Rito did not realize that something was already affecting everyone's mind.
