Chapter 2: Shield

I lift the newly crafted pistol with a mixture of admiration and pride. Its reassuring weight is a testament to my hard work and creativity. With a smooth and skilled motion, I twirl the gun in my hands, as if I've handled it countless times before. Familiarity quickly sets in, as if the pistol and I were one entity.

Adjusting the pistol at my waist, I feel a sense of security. "Okay, now it's time to create a barrier," I whisper with determination.

I turn around and walk swiftly and efficiently, soon entering the interior of the apartment. The doorknob turns under my hand, the door opening to what appears to be an improvised laboratory. The environment is chaotic as well, but full of potential. Notes are scattered, colorful vials line shelves, and crates hide in various corners. However, my focus is drawn to a table holding two sandwiches.

With a casual movement, I pick up one of the sandwiches and bring it to my mouth. The familiar and comforting taste of the sandwich fills my senses as I take a bite, satisfied with the simplicity of the moment. I chew slowly, allowing the flavor and texture of the food to stand out.

After finishing the sandwich, I move the other one aside, exposing a chest covered in blueprints. However, it's the chest that captures my attention. With a curious expression, I approach and open the chest, a smile growing on my lips as I reveal what's inside.

Before my eyes are six gleaming Hextech crystals. Each emits a mesmerizing glow, solid evidence of the magical and energetic potential they hold. My fingers gently slide over the crystals, appreciating their texture and beauty.

With the six brilliant Hextech crystals as my power source and the chaotic laboratory environment around me, I begin working on creating an energy barrier that will protect me. I recall the theories I've examined on the board, and my mind focuses on applying this knowledge practically.

My hand traverses the crystals, sensing the subtle vibration emanating from them. I position them strategically on the table, forming a triangular pattern that reflects the geometry of the gears I've collected. Each crystal is a link in a chain of potential energy, waiting to be released and shaped according to my will.

Using the dismantled gears and other mechanical materials at my disposal, I start building a supporting structure for the crystals. My skilled hands fit the pieces precisely, like a meticulously assembled puzzle. Rusty nails are used to attach the gears to the metal triangles, while springs turn into flexible components that will help direct the flow of energy.

Braided wires extend from the crystals, forming an intricate network that interconnects all parts of the structure. I remember the basics of electrical circuits from my original world, adapting them to the electricity-deprived environment I find myself in now. The gears become a sort of switch, allowing me to control the energy flow through the barrier I'm about to create.

With the elements finely tuned, I start turning an improvised crank I've fashioned from pieces of metal. The crank activates a ratchet mechanism, which in turn sets the gears in motion. A chain reaction is triggered, causing the Hextech crystals to emit intense, pulsating light.

"Crep!"

Energy is channeled through copper wires, flowing along the gears, transforming into a cohesive force. My focus is absolute; each turn of the crank and every gear adjustment is made with surgical precision. I feel the energy pulsating in sync with my own heartbeat, as if the universe is responding to my command.

As the energy continues to grow, the supporting structure begins to glow with an ethereal luminescence. My mind envisions the clear circular pattern I intend to create, a protective shield that will envelop me completely. I concentrate on shaping the energy according to this pattern, directing it through the gears and copper wires.

The circle starts to take shape, a shimmering energy barrier rising from the ground to form a dome around my body. Every part of the structure is interconnected, vibrating in harmony with the energy flowing through it. I feel a deep connection with this creation, as if I'm weaving my own destiny with each turn of the crank.

"ZZzzz!"

Finally, the barrier is complete, a feat of ingenuity and innovation. The circle of energy shines intensely, its light reflecting off the metallic surfaces of the laboratory. My heart beats with a sense of triumph as I observe the barrier I've created.

I don the device like a vest, feeling the weight of the equipment settle against my chest. I insert my hands into the wire straps and adjust the device, securing it firmly in place. It's somewhat heavy and uncomfortable, but I know it will be necessary for what's to come. "I don't have nanotechnology yet, so I won't be able to create a barrier with a tiny device," I mutter to myself, remembering the limitations of the world I find myself in.

Suddenly, the sound of a kick against a door reverberates through the room. "Broom!"

A smile forms on my lips as I hear the sound. An adrenaline rush courses through me as I start walking toward the sound, curious and prepared for whatever is about to happen. I open the door in front of me and step out of my hiding place, coming face to face with four teenagers who stop everything they're doing and stare directly at me.

Vi, Powder, Claggor, and Mylo – the names echo in my mind as I observe them. A confident smile remains on my face, expressing an unmatched determination. The pressure of the device on my chest, housing the energy of the six Hextech crystals, expands, and in the blink of an eye, I am surrounded by the energy barrier I've created. They are now trapped, unable to escape within my barrier.

My hand moves quickly to my waist, gripping the handle of the energy pistol I carry. I raise the weapon toward the four youths before they can utter a word. My voice resonates toward Vi, the leader of the group, as I stare at her intensely. "Funny to find 4 rats here!"

Smiling at Vi, who quickly realizes the situation and mistakenly deduces that I'm the owner of this apartment. My identity has little importance at this moment. She raises her voice and says, "We didn't steal anything!" Claggor, Powder, and Mylo synchronously confirm Vi's words, saying, "It's true, we didn't take anything!"

I smile at them as if it doesn't matter and say, "You didn't steal anything, but I'm going to steal you!" I look at Vi from head to toe and then turn to Powder and say, "Take off your clothes, otherwise, I'll start shooting."

My pistol's energy is firm, and it makes them feel goosebumps. Both young men in the group frown, but only Vi dares to say. "What? Are you going to steal our clothes?", I smile at her and say. "No!" I want your virginity, and that blue-haired girl's virginity!"
