Chapter 12: Fate Severing!
The others went away, leaving Hera and the two young disciples of the goddess and herself. Phate walked and stopped before the two young women who had not moved from their spot.
"Hello Qing," he nodded to the woman, who bowed slightly before she stood back straight; he shifted his eyes to Thalia, who brushed after meeting his eyes.
"Hi Thalia, I know you're not welcome to my mother's decision, and I am deeply sorry for that. But I give you my word that this is going to be an interesting adventure!" he was so close to her (at least to Thalia's view, who had never been close to a man), so every breath he took, Thalia felt like they were sharing it!
The young maiden brushed!
Hera and Qing Xieyu were holding back their laughter, and the unruly girl had finally got hooked!
Goddess looked at her son's back and nodded her head. She could see through his intention that he was trying to make Thalia his friend by clearing the bad blood that would have been created between them(at least he thought so) and, at the same time, enticing her with the thrill of their journey together.
Thalia was only two minor realms behind Qing Xieyu. The reason she chose her is that no one out of the Ice Sect knew of her existence, so it was going to be easy for her to enter the Cherry Blossom Sect with her son!
She nodded to Qing Xieyu.
Pfuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! The latter whistled loud; Phate looked in the direction she was whistling to, and with his unique eyes, he could see as far as a mid-God could.
He saw something coming at an incredible speed, and it was so fast that it seemed like a light streak heading toward them.
Before he could even try to look at what it was, the thing had already appeared before all of them.
It was a pure white wolf with white fur with blue eyes. The fur around its neck was so much that it could even be considered a mane. Its size was enough to fit him and Thalia at once.
It bowed to the Goddess and Hera first before it did to Qing and Thalia. It looked at him with disdain as if looking at a pest.
It had every right to do that as its cultivation was the same with Thalia, a second-stage Venerable. And Phate was only a third-stage spiritual lord. As insignificant as its action seemed, it made him angry. From what he learned from his mother's information, he had to exert his dominance if someone underestimated him. Only then would his presence be recognized.
"Too bad you're going to be the first test subject!" he roared; they looked at him and saw his golden eyes lit up since he was doing it for the first time and the people around him were stronger than he was, he couldn't conceal the light his eyes gave off.
Like before, he could see the golden fate threads of the wolf attached to Qing Xieyu. Through it, he could tell the latter did not have any significant bond with the wolf, so he did not feel sorry.
Fate Severing!
He extended his right hand in the hair as if he had a sword. The women wondered what he was about to do, but none dared to think it was a game.
An icy golden energy sword appeared in his extended hand before he slashed multiple times. He served its connection with the young woman. He saw the wolf's destined fate.
'Born with a unique bloodline closely related to divine beasts, but since her mother wanted to hide her existence from the Divine beasts realm leaders, she sealed her daughter's bloodline. She was meant to take me to the teleportation station before returning here.
Later, Qing Xieyu would grant her freedom, looming alone in the Snow continent. She would awaken her divine bloodline after becoming a Demigod. The leaders of her real clan would immediately search and kill her.
In another fated destiny, everything would follow the same route; just as Qing Xieyu set her free, she would be forcefully contacted by a vicious beast tamer but later sell her to her clan, who immediately killed her on the spot!
Man, what a cruel fate! Let me save you!'
Her inevitable doom was laid bare before him as he used his *Destiny Peek* ability he got after becoming a Spiritual lord cultivator.
With his other empty hand, he made a grasping motion in empty air toward the wolf. He later brought his hand to his chest and closed his eyes.
Although he felt a lot of strain on his soul, it was bearable. He found that the wolf was tied directly to him now, and when he tried peeking into her fated destiny, he saw an image of him.
Nothing else!
Awooooooooooooo!
The wolf howled loudly in the air. After it was done, it bowed to Phate with one of its forelegs knelt on the snowy ground.
"You're Fenrir from today onwards, little wolfie," he said after he opened his eyes. Only then did he recognize the mistake he had just made. He used the most dangerous ability right before everyone!
The thing he did was only possible to be this fast on a beast that has not become completely intelligent; if it were a human or intelligent beast, it would have taken him some more minutes.
Another thing to be noted is the soul strength of Fate Weaver! Who, in this case, was Phate. If his soul strength were less than the wolf's, he would have received a backlash.
He also could not do it to someone two major realms above him!
He just changed Fenrir's fate and tied her to him.
"Don't worry, son, none of this is going to get out of this place, but make sure to be out of people's sight next time you do that," Goddess said to him.
"But what has just happened?" Thalia asked in wonder.
"It's an ability of mine. I just served Fenrir's connection with Qing, making her my slave!" he answered truthfully.
"I felt it too, but how did you do that?" Qing also asked in amazement.
"Don't ask too many questions, and it's an ability that is that!" Hera shouted that even though they were the Goddess's direct disciples, they still had to listen to the elders, so the girls immediately kept quiet, At least Qing Xieyu.
"Che, we just wanted to know, that's all," Thalia said. "By the way, you said she. Is this wolf a female?" she asked Phate.
