Chapter 26: CP : 26 - Underground Prison #2
In the morning, the first thing I did was register as a hunter. To register as a hunter, all I needed was the money.
Of course, I only registered as a hunter, I didn't accept any tasks yet. That's because the rewards are given by the "System."
So, I just registered as a hunter and didn't take any risks by accepting tasks that the system probably wouldn't pay me for.
During this time, my main goal was "Assiom's Children." I tried to keep a close eye on them as much as possible.
In fact, I got Erka involved in this task. He was going to tell me the places they visited during the day. Elly and the others were still on their jobs.
Assiom's Children were, as usual, hanging out in two groups. They had left the town twice.
Having the castle so open was definitely not a good idea. There were two reasons I was so insistent on the dungeon. The first one was the dragon heart. The dragon heart would regenerate Shya's arm. If we were very lucky, we might obtain additional benefits.
The second reason was the quest "Seize the Dragon Heart!" It was a quest that gave 4,000 DP. So, the reward was 40,000 DP. This would take me one step further against Assiom's Children.
I also wanted to hire the criminals in the dungeon as slaves.
Now, I had gone outside the town. After walking for a while, I was going to use the teleportation ring.
After getting far enough away, I teleported back to the dungeon.
"Welcome, Orion," she greeted me with a smile on her face.
I had teleported to Shya's side, and I responded with a nice smile.
"Where are Onyx and Lexia?"
I needed to be quick because Elly and the others had almost finished their jobs. If I wasn't fast enough, the hunters might notice them.
"They were in the Boss's room."
Shya had started to stay in my room. At an appropriate time, I should get her a new room.
I quickly left my room. They were playing some kind of strange game in the Boss's room. Was it chess? I don't know, but it could be something quite similar.
Even if I didn't show it, I loved board games. I should ask them to teach me this game sometime.
"Hello, everyone. Tonight, we are going to attack the town. I want all the monsters in the castle to join the attack. Onyx, please inform them."
So, the castle would be defenseless in this situation. However, Shya was still in the Boss's room. In case of an emergency, she would be the first to take the dungeon crystal and teleport them to my side.
This plan was a tactic we developed against possible emergency scenarios.
After explaining the plan in detail in the dungeon, I returned to the castle.
I repeated the same things to the people in the castle. Their job was more challenging because their stats weren't strong enough yet.
But my entire plan was quite clear. In the darkness of the night, we would catch all the hunters in the town asleep.
I slowly distanced myself from the castle. It was only a matter of time now. After returning to the town, I had a brief chat with the guards.
As I expected, the town was quite vulnerable. The guards had equipment even worse than the bandits.
I started to walk towards my club. On the way, I saw Erka. He came towards me slowly.
"Sir..."
