Chapter 87: Under Attack!?

Though no more cries of praise were ringing through the settlement, the lively feast provided all sorts of conversations and murmurs to add to the torchlit backdrop. 

There was also a special place for the recently recovered men. With cushions beneath them and food delivered to them, they got to enjoy the feast just like everyone else despite their fatigue. Constantly, they received waves and cheers as the tribesfolk passed them by, from men, women, and children alike. 

"... Thank you, Rizz." 

The goblin paused his eating. "How many times are you gonna say that?" 

Chief Kert chuckled, "This time is different… I'm thanking you for this. For the peace and happiness that wouldn't exist without you." 

Shrugging, Rizz sighed, "It's not like I did much. You lost way more people than I saved. And you'll still face the pressures of those lost lives."
