Queen Eleanor Sinclair stood before a grand mirror, her reflection radiating an ethereal beauty that left her momentarily captivated. Her blonde hair cascaded in elegant waves down her back, framing her delicate face with its porcelain complexion. She wore a resplendent red gown, a shimmering ensemble of deep sapphire blue adorned with intricate lacework and jewels that accentuated her graceful figure. Eleanor was a vision of regal elegance.
As she admired her appearance, her thoughts were far from her own beauty. The dire condition of the kingdom weighed heavily on her mind.
'Public opinion is vicious; finances are on the brink of collapse. No one can be trusted. Moreover, there are more than a truckload of people who wants me dead. I need to keep my head on straight.'
I straightened my clothes and took a deep breath.
I calmly organized my thoughts.

Seeing the mission rewards a newfound encouragement rose in me.
With a determined breath, I straightened my royal attire and left my bedroom with unwavering poise and a newfound air of confidence.
The transformation in Eleanor was astonishing. Those who caught sight of her in the corridors were taken aback by the change in their once-meek queen. She moved with purpose and exuded an aura of authority that left them astounded.
As she entered the conference hall, the doorman announced her arrival with a reverberating voice that echoed through the hall. The assembled courtiers turned their attention towards the entrance, their faces mirroring a range of emotions.
Those who had oppressed her during her earlier days as queen were now stunned by her assertiveness. They wondered how the timid queen they had once known had transformed into this confident figure.
Among the courtiers, the loyal ones had a hopeful gleam in their eyes, believing that the queen's newfound confidence signalled a positive change. Some of the elderly courtiers bore pitying expressions, aware of the hardships Eleanor had endured. However, the corrupt and greedy nobles could not hide their mocking smirks. To them, she was still a pawn in their schemes.
Everyone stood up to greet the queen on her entrance except the greedy nobles as they were above the queen's authority and just looked at her with condescending gazes with mocking smirk on their faces.
Eleanor, despite her newfound confidence, was aware of her vulnerability. Her guard and maid, bestowed upon her by the system, had not yet arrived. Thus, she had no choice but to endure the humiliation of the nobles' condescending gazes.
She proceeded to her designated seat and sat looking at the courtiers. There were 10 courtiers present in the courtroom, 6 men and 4 women with 5 of them seating on the either side of the room.
She recognized everyone from the memories of the original Eleanor.
On the right was sitting
Isabella Albion her closest aid, strikingly beautiful woman in her thirties.
James Ranford - A strong and handsome man.
Elara Caelan - Another loyal noble, renowned for her grace and wit.
Eveline Ravenscroft - A captivatingly beautiful noblewoman, known for her enchanting presence and charisma.
Thaddeus Blackwood - A dedicated nobleman, known for his unwavering loyalty to the crown.
And on her left sat-
Reginald Ravenscroft - An elderly, distinguished gentleman with a lifetime of experience in court affairs. He is not a noble but the prime minister of the kingdom besides him sat, Eve Ravenscroft - A wise and elderly woman who had seen the kingdom through many trials. She is the prime minister's wife and had taken care of the late king from his childhood. They have dedicated their lives for this kingdom.
After her sat Dorian Lockwood - A treacherous noble who attempted to assassinate the queen.
Gwendolyn Harrington - A plump and avaricious noblewoman who hoarded wealth by sucking the civilian's wealth and embezzling the royal treasury.
And at the end sat Maldrick Havisham - An average-looking noble who had thrived on corruption and exploitation. Currently the strongest man in the kingdom, an intermediate swordsman.
