Chapter 3: The maid and the Master
As the caretaker and maid of Master Godwyn, broken tables, golden fire and destroyed walls were a normal sight for me.
Today wasn't an exception, as i walked into my master study i was greeted by a ring of light slicing cleanly through the wall next to me, most people would be startled but by now i have grown used to it.
Or atleast i thought so, until a dagger made of light hit the door at mere inches of my face.
"M-master Godwyn, please restrain yourself from practicing incantations in thy study!"
When my words were heard by my master he turned around to look at me with a happy expression in his face.
A prayerbook in his right hand and a sword of light on his left. Master Godwyn's eyes, which normally were a pale blue had turned into shining gold due to his usage of the golden order incantation, his golden hair was reminiscent of her mother just as his facial features, all of him was close to perfection, as if i was looking at a younger version of Queen Marika.
Even though he is merely a child, my master is already a theme of conversation among the ladies of the capital, all of them enamored of his unnatural beauty.
Is not like i am any different, but unlike them, i know my place, after all I'm no good match for a demigod such as him.
And overall, i know the real nature of my master, a child filled with curiosity and obsessiveness who is really hard to deal with.
"Edina look, i can finally manipulate the incantations to create weapons!"
If you look at me with such a joyful expression y heart will explode!
No, I need to calm myself, i have to act accordingly to my role, i cannot fall for his charm.
"That's incredible master godwyn, yet most important than that. Food!"
I pushed the plate of food i have been carrying into my master hands by force.
"Thou might not need nourishment to survive, yet thou still want to eat if thou desire to grow firm-set and healthy, as thy caretaker I shall take thy prayerbook till thou eat and rest enough"
"That!...fine, thou do have a point, I shall rest properly"
Oh, that's certainly a surprise, normally he would refuse to practice and study until he was satisfied, only then would he listen at me.
Maybe he is concerned about his growth?

Edina had a faint smile as she watched me eat the meal she brought me.
This kind of development is the usual for us, since i rarely share a meal with neither my mother or my father since both are busy most of the time, Edina is the one who accompanies me most of the time.
I don't really feel hungry, but i like her smile, so i forced myself to eat.
Is not like i don't enjoy the food, but since is not necessary for this new body of mine, i prefer to use that time to practice incantations.
Ever since i turned five i have been obsessed with the idea of magic, and now that idea is at hands reach, because of that, i spent a lot of time studying and practicing the incantations of the golden order since they are the only ones available for me at the moment.
In game, they are few and not very good, but in reality the amount is much bigger and their usefulness also varies, now i don't need to rely on rings of light, instead is possible to create almost anything, but of course each new weapon or object created is a complete new incantation which needs to be studied and learned.
So far i can create daggers and sword using the incantations "Flash Dagger" and "Flash Slasher". Both of them are incantations that in the game are only used by one character, Morgott.
The prayerbook of the golden order fundamentalists, the Golden Principia contains over two hundred incantations along with the order principles and history.
That is the content of a single book, i can't even imagine the amount of incantations and spells that exist in the totality of the lands between. I want them all, but sadly that's currently impossible.
Getting access to the dragon communion and dragon cult incantations should be easy once the war against the dragons unleashes, so i don't have to worry about them to much, same with the sorcery of raya lucaria, the problem is the ones that belong to enemies of the erdtree, like the godskins, fire giants or frenzied flame...although maybe i should stay away from the last one.
I could learn them, but it would be impossible to do it without being heavily punished by the order or worse, by the greater will.
"Now that i think of it, is not as tyrannical as i thought it would be"
I mean sure, the greater will does impose its will in the lands between through the golden order, but it doesn't get involved much, Marika isn't some kind of puppet to control but instead is a regent with free will and a lot of freedom. Apparently as long as she follows the main order of dominating the lands between, she can do as she wishes, the outer god doesn't even seem to care about the method and won't interfere unless something or someone menaces it or it's envoys, the two fingers.
So yeah, in general, the greater will is a mostly absent god, it responds to the call of it subordinates but won't meddle in their affairs.
"Didst thou say something, Master Godwyn?"
"Oh, is nothing, don't worry about it"
That doesn't mean that i like the greater will, but is not so bad.
"Master are thou prepared for tomorrow tournament?"
"Tomorrow what?"
A tournament? I never heard of something like that. I mean sure there's the colosseum but i have never seen it being used.
"There will be a tournament held tomorrow, by orders of Queen Marika thou are to participate"
...what?
