Chapter 77: Chapter 77: Gentle Demon
Keiran's white eyes scanned through the contestants standing on the stage.
His eyes were looking not just at their appearance but something deeper.
They were looking at their aura!
Keiran was judging their strength based on their aura, while he was looking at them they were also looking at him and Luna. Keiran could feel different emotions radiating from those eyes towards them.
He felt a particular set of eyes on him that caused him to turn in the direction, recognition flashed through his eyes seeing the familiar looking wild curly haired man smiling at him.
Keiran could not help but raise his eyebrows looking at the aura of the man, his aura was stronger than anyone present in the arena yet there was something more potent dormant beneath his aura.
He felt that something was keeping the aura at bay. 'It's good that you are participating, I can finally deal with you.'
His eyes looked at the four people beside Ethan Bove.
Just like him Luna was also observing the five people from the noble background. Her eyes narrowed when she saw a woman looking at Keiran with an intense gaze.
There were more women like her in the area but she was the one that irked her the most.
Wang Su felt someone gazing at her and matched Luna's cold eyes with a slight smirk.
Keiran ignored the woman and looked at the boy of their age standing there looking towards him with complicated eyes.
Kieran's lips twitched looking at the inner turmoil of the man from his aura.
The head of the Kim family was also present on the stage looking at the scene with an amused look in his eyes.
Their interaction was cut short when an announcement from the Commentator pulled their attention towards him.
"With that we can finally start the long awaited championship." Everyone in the audience cheered as the different colors of smoke bombs went off in all the directions of the arena boundary.
The participants went off in different directions. The commoners went in the directions of their area. While the nobles and the twins went in another direction.
In the Private room of the royal family, Aiden and Seraphina gaze at the twin's back with worry in their eyes.
Arion simply looked at the stage with his indifferent eyes. Suddenly a shadow guard appeared and kneeled in front of the king.
Without speaking anything he passed a paper to him, reading it Arion shredded the paper.
" You can draw back, no need to keep an eye anymore." The guard bowed and vanished as fast as he appeared.
After the guard vanished, silence dawned in the room, only the sound of people breathing could be heard until Arion decided to break the silence.
"Erla is going towards the royal cemetery."
His words caused Sreraphina's breath to halt and after a few seconds she sighed.
'He is keeping an eye on her. How far have you fallen Arion…. Erla would have sensed shadow guards following her. No matter how trained they are, Erla is someone who is stronger than me and she is even sharper than me.'
She looked at a distance space as her thoughts kept running in her mind.
'Still the royal cemetery. Huh? What happened to her?' A sudden realization struck her mind causing her eyes to widen and she asked Arion in a shocked voice.
"Is she visiting her grave?"
Her shock intensified as she saw Arion nod with complicated emotions swirling in his eyes.
Aiden looked at his father and mother with a puzzled look yet he chose to remain silent.
Seraphina sighed and slumped back in her chair.

In the middle of a well maintained graveyard stood the tall figure of a woman, her eyes scanned through the graves of the people the three of them had lost in their lives.
Among all of these graves, two of them stood out the most for Erla.
She glanced at the first grave with myriads of emotions in her eyes but the most intense emotion in her eyes was hatred.
Suddenly she sensed something and her eyes twitched but soon returned to normal.
'So he decided to withdraw them now.' the emotions in her eyes were replaced with resolution and she glanced at the same grave for one last time before adding.
'Now is not the time for you.'
Moving her gaze towards the other grave she walked towards it. There were some old leaves covering the name on the grave.
Kneeling down she cleaned them with her bare hands and caressed the name engraved on the stone with gentle touch. Her voice filled with the most real emotion she had ever shown were carried with the wind blowing in the area.
"It's been a long time since I came here, hasn't it. Chihaki~"

"We will soon start the first match of the day So please be seated and don't go anywhere because the participants of the first match will shock you to the core. Well one of them definitely will."
The animated man on the giant screen of the arena spoke with a cheerful tone while posing in a cool manner.
The audience got confused as they had already seen all of the important participants so what's so good about this participant that would shock them.

In a Private waiting room Keiran and Luna looked at the screen with concentrated eyes, hearing the words of the commentator they had some guesses as to who might be the special participant of the first match.
"They are delaying the whole thing." Luna mumbled while Keiran nodded in agreement.

After half an hour the crowd started to get rowdy and another announcement resounded in the area.
"The auspicious hour has arrived ladies and gentlemen. Please welcome the participants to fight in the first match of the day,"
As the people got hyped the opposite door for the challengers started opening.
"On the one side we have Simon, a 30 years old man who managed to reach the peak of the third rank soldier level." The people looked at the middle aged man with appreciation and awe.
Reaching such a rank as a commoner was a great feat.
"But unfortunately for him his opponent is none other than The Gentle Demon."
Hearing the grave tone of the commentator, some people were puzzled as they had never heard the name before but those who knew of the name…
"This guy is done for~ " A man sitting in the stands muttered with a solemn look on his face. Someone sitting beside him heard his muttering and asked "Who is this Demon guy? quite the name he has!"
The man looked at the person sitting beside him with a serious look and spoke.
"Gentle demon is not a Guy, gentle demon is-"
*SPLASHHH!!!!*
Before he could speak any further a loud sound interrupted him causing him along with the others beside him to focus on the stage. Their eyes shot open when they saw the blood spraying all over the Arena.
Simon was floating in the air his body was pierced with a giant wooden pointed log that was coming out of the ground. The people were shocked by the horrific scene and turned their attention to the person who was responsible for it floating in the air.
They were even more shocked to see the Figure of their Queen floating in the Air lookin below her with a cold and emotionless look in her face.
"She is the Gentle Demon."
Looking at the goddess Like figure suspended in the air the man who spoke earlier muttered once again.
