Chapter 97: Chapter 97: Why is the poison not working?!!
Seraphina looked at the stage with a calm expression on her face ever since the twins were forced to join this arena, she had been coming here along with her son whenever Keiran or Luna had to fight.
She treats them like her own and even worries about their health. Aiden beside her looked at the stage with a solemn look in his eyes.
Seraphina made sure to drill it into his brain to never underestimate an opponent especially one born among the noble families.
There was a reason they have been chosen by the king as the noble families, one was they were founding families and the other was that their family heads all have extremely powerful abilities.
There is nothing that can be done in this world without power. So for them to be the noble families, they had to have something backing them up.
The whole area was silent as the children of similar age stood face to face against each other.
After hearing the cold words from Luna the commentator did not dare to delay any further and announced the start of the match.
Evan was not in a good mood but since it was the matter of his life and death he decided to take a moment to calm himself.
He had faith in his father's methods but the girl in front of him was a monster on the same level of that handsome brother of hers.
Evan took a deep breath and looked at Luna who was looking back at him with a provocation gaze.
"What happened to all the talk, not going to attack anymore?"
Hearing her mocking words Evan felt his blood boil and he gritted his teeth. He raised his hand and green ethereal glow started swirling around his hand.
Currently Luna was only trying to provoke the boy into making rash and impulsive decisions while on the inside she was analyzing his every move with all seriousness.
The green particles emerged from Evan's hands and Luna felt a gush of wind in the air aa it started to move towards the boy's hand in a rhythmic motion.
Keiran watched from the sides as the boy launched an arc made of air slicing through the air towards Luna.
Luna was surprised that the speed of the attack was quite fast. Even many low level people may not be able to evade this attack but she was no ordinary human.
With her body strengthening skill activated Luna dodged the attack quite easily. Evan was not surprised seeing her dodge the attack and continue to attack.
After a few times of sending the air attack Evan frowned as he looked at the unfazed figure of the girl looking at him like he was an idiot.
The look the girl was giving him made him want to kill her even more.
'what is happening, why is it not working? Was the attack unsuccessful? Not possible, that poison is something not even expert at the level of father can handle unless they are careful.'
His eyebrows relaxed thinking of this.
"Are you done playing?" Luna's cold voice brought him out of his thoughts as he saw the figure of the girl suddenly appearing in front of him and kicking him in the stomach.
His momentary shock gave Luna enough time to catch him off guard. Evan launched a few Wind blades to make the girl back away before creating some distance between them.
He wiped the blood from the corner of his face and glared at Luna with bloodshot eyes.
"You Bitc#, do you think just because you are a little powerful you can take me on?" He yelled and started creating several blades in the air.
Seeing those blades a sense of seriousness appeared in Luna's mind. She continued to watch as the number of blades kept on increasing.
She would be an idiot if she let him continue the attack. With a swift motion she charged at the boy straight ahead.
'How does she not have a slight effect of the poison on her?' Evan's shocks was visible on his face but he quickly put on a solemn face and sent a few of the blades to attack her.
Luna used her swordsmanship to cut through the wind blade, since the weapon Seraphina sent were of good quality it was able to withstand the effects of blade and cut through them.
"Tsk"
The boy clicked his tongue seeing her continue the charge.
His whole body glowed in green light as the blades enveloped him from all sides, Luna watched in shock as the blades started revolving around him at high speed. She stopped her advance seeing the sharpness of the air increase those blades made the sound of tearing the air apart.
"Just die obediently!!" Evan's yelled from within the cocoon of the blades and suddenly all the blades suddenly changed their moving pattern and made their way towards Luna leaving Evan.
Their shape represented a small tornado made of several wind blades. These blades tore through the the stage and even started breaking the stage apart as they made their way towards Luna.
"Bear witness, this is my true ability…,
The wind's Anger!!!"
Luna could not see the chance to avoid the huge tornado making its way towards her. The size of the tornado was so huge that she could not even think of dodging it on time.
She sighed seeing that there was no escape from the attack.
'Luna, Use the sword.' Keiran's calm and serene voice echoed in her mind as she seemed to relax her body on instinct.
Seeing her actions Evan smirked thinking that the poison was finally taking its affect.
"Finally it's Working, Now I will be able to have him for myself." Evan exclaimed sure of his victory.
Luna's eyes froze hearing those words as the moments of the time from banquet when he asked for her hand to dance flashed by her mind and she understood what was happening.
Seraphina's eyes gained a slight sense of worry as she clenched the armrest of the chair seeing Luna lower her head.
Luna's silver hair fell in front of her face covering her expression.
"He-he-he~~ did he just say he wants my brother for himself?~" small chuckle escaped her mouth but the chuckle seemed to freeze the air around her.
She took the sword in her hand and walked forward toward the tornado that was already close to her.
"Did you finally decide to die." Evan laughed seeing her actions, even the crowd was puzzled as they started talking about how she was going to die.
"She is ready to die, huh?"
"Serves her right!!"
"She dared to be arrogant. This will teach her where she belongs."
But suddenly something happened that caused everyone to feel like they were in an illusion
