Chapter 3: 3.Beginning

It's been four days since he gave the ring to mike, he receives a message from mike about finding a buyer who pays 82000 credits for the ring. He also said that the credits will be deposited before night.

Around 8 pm when dev and his family having dinner, he receives a message that 82000 credits have been deposited into his bank account. When dev sees the amount in his bank account a chuckle escaped his mouth, he thought about how much will be in his account after buying a NEXUS VR helmet.

When hema and jenna found that dev has acting strange they enquired about his behavior, but dev just gave them a light smile.

After finishing the dinner dev enters his room and starts to scroll about the Headset and he receives a message from his childhood friend allison. When he saw that allison sent him a message his face turned cold and starts to remember how she slept with david when they were in a relationship. Before dev and allison move to the inner region to attend college he proposes to her, and she accept his proposal and they been dating for 3 years until he found that allison has been cheating on him for over a year with david, a rich guy who thinks everyone is below him.

Dev escape from his thoughts and send 'let's break up' to allison and blocked her. Even though the current allison hasn't cheated he doesn't want to give her a chance.

After blocking her he again starts to search for a NEXUS VR helmet and finally he bought one for 48000 credits that will be delivered day after tomorrow. After paying the amount he stares at the ceiling and slowly drifts towards sleep.

Dev stands in a place which is covered in blood and dead bodies of people he used to know, as long as he could see there is nothing but endless flow of blood,dead bodies and crumbled building.

When he didn't know what to do, he hears a familiar voice calling him. When he turns around and saw hema whose lower body is missing and saying" w wh... why are you alive and we are not" after saying that she stopped moving and her breathing has stopped.

Dev starts to tremble and tears are starting to fall from his eyes as he saw his sister's lifeless body and begins moving closer towards her and hugged her body he repeatedly says, "I'm sorry I'm sorry".

When dev starts to feel someone is touching him he opens his eyes to finds that his sister trying to wake him up. He quickly gets up from the bed and tightly hugged hema with tears in his eyes and vows in his heart that he protects her.

Hema has startled to find her brother hugging him, she starts to think that something is wrong and consoles him until he releases her and gave her a sweet smile.

Dev has been patiently waiting for this day, the release of NEXUS by Pegasus the game that changes the world which is releasing in 30 minutes. Even before its release many are interested in it, NEXUS is the topic that is currently famous. Many are claiming that it brings changes to the world while some others say it will be forgotten.

The NEXUS VR helmet that he bought have arrived yesterday, it is a black in color which perfectly fit for his head. This device can also operate while sleeping, but the most important feature is the time convert ratio. Five hours in game equivalent to one hour in real world to accommodate many features and and adventures in the world of NEXUS.

Since, he plans to play NEXUS he will spend a lot of time on it, he tells jenna about playing the nexus so he cannot be disturbed.

When jenna hears that he is interested in playing a game she encouraged him to play because it is the first time, he is interested i a game. But when she asked how he have money to buy a NEXUS VR helmet because even her monthly salary is 5000 credits she can't buy a cheap helmet with her salary. He simply said that he got lucky and when he tries to buy a coupon for fun, he ended up winning the gadget. Even though it is hard to believe that he got lucky and won.Jenna trusted dev.

Right now, dev laid on his bed and wears the NEXUS VR helmet as only ten minutes remain until the release of NEXUS.

He starts to create the account and wait for the timer to end.
