Chapter 19: Chapter 18 : Family dinner.
Third person point of view
The next morning, Cecil woke up early than the previous day. He walked out of the room and looked down to see a woman cleaning the house. She looked up when she heard the door open and saw Cecil standing there. " Good morning sir. I am Mary, your housekeeper ". Cecil nodded. " Hello. I am Cecil ". Cecil smiled.
She also smiled and went back to her work. Aaron did tell her that there will be another person living in the house and that he was getting married. So she assumed it has to be Cecil. She cleaned the house, did laundry and also the dishes. Cecil was done with his things too by the time she finished her work.
" I don't think I saw you yesterday ". Cecil said and Mary turned to him. " I didn't come in yesterday. I come in thrice a week. Sunday is compulsory and if I come in on Tuesday, then the next would be Thursday. If I come on Wednesday, then the next would be Friday ". Cecil nodded. " Would you like me to come in everyday sir ? " Mary asked and Cecil thought about it.
He used to do things by himself before. He wouldn't mind doing the dishes but Aaron might cause a fuss about it. He looked at Mary. " Would that be extra pay ? " Mary shook her head. " My pay has nothing to do with that. It is because sir told me that it wouldn't be necessary for me to come in that often, I changed my schedule ". Cecil nodded.
" Then please come in daily from now on ". She nodded. " Sure sir. I will be leaving then ". Cecil nodded. The dishes would be the only problem if she didn't come daily. And he wouldn't be able to stand letting them be for too long. So the best solution was this. He went to his room and worked. He couldn't come up with an idea.
He stood up and paced around the room. He checked the time and walked out of the room. He went to make himself some lunch and had it. He then went back to his room to work. Aaron came back in the evening and Cecil was nowhere in sight. He assumed he should be in his room working. He didn't disturb him and went to his room.
He walked out at dinner time and knocked on Cecil's door. " Yeah ? " Aaron opened the door. He pointed at his wrist and Cecil checked the time on the corner of the screen. He was surprised. " I will order it. What do you want to have ? " Aaron asked. " Anything ". Aaron nodded and closed the door. He ordered the food and sat in the living room.
The food arrived. He was about to call Cecil but stopped and smirked. " Hey, shorty ! " The door burst open and Cecil looked like he wanted to pounce at him. Aaron's smirk grew. " Dinner is here ". Aaron showed it and went to sit at the table. Cecil swallowed the curses and went down. He sat down on the chair.
" I will really put something in the food I give you next time ". Cecil warned but Aaron only laughed. To him it was like a kitten throwing punches. It had a cute charm to it. " Like you would actually dare to ". Cecil scrunched his nose and started eating. Aaron grinned and started eating too. They finished and cleaned up. They dispersed again.
Their week was pretty much only that. They couldn't make it during the day and only met in the evening because of Cecil's timings. They would have dinner together and then do their own things. No better than roommates and they didn't really seem to mind it too. As long as they had no problems, other things didn't matter.
On Saturday evening, Aaron went back home early. He went to Cecil's room as soon as he came back. He knocked on the door. Cecil frowned wondering who it could be. " Yeah ? " The door opened and Aaron was standing there. Cecil glanced at the time. " You are early today ". " We need to go home for dinner ". Cecil's eyebrows shot up. " Sure ".
" We will start at 6:30 ". " Done ". Aaron closed the door and walked away. Cecil looked around. He had a little more time. He put the things away and saved his work. He then went to pick a dress. He looked around and took out a cardigan and t-shirt. He then took some jeans. This should do. He took a shower and dressed up.
He took out the chain and put the ring on his finger. He walked out and went to sit in the living room. He waited for a few minutes and Aaron came down. " Let's go ". The both of them walked out and went down. The car was already waiting for them. They got in and drove to the mansion. They walked in and saw the three of them waiting for them.
The couple smiled and greeted the elders. The elders smiled happily looking at them. " Come, let's have dinner ". Grandfather said and they had a nice dinner together. The both of them had to act like a loving couple; giving food to each other and being all smiles. They also chatted away happily. After dinner, they were asked to stay back.
Aaron turned to Cecil. Cecil also glanced at Aaron and then at grandfather. " I really can't. Clothes is not the problem, but I really have to finish work ". Cecil said with an apologetic expression. Grandfather nodded and let out a breath. " I thought my own grandson was a workaholic. Who knew he would get married to someone who works more than him ? "
Cecil blushed. All of them laughed at those words. Cecil pouted and saw Aaron giving him a teasing look. He elbowed Aaron making him laugh more. They then left for home. The both of them went back to their rooms. Cecil took another shower and continued working while Aaron just changed and fell asleep.
