Chapter 5: Chapter 3

As Eden walked through the night, he enjoyed the quiet. He decided not to go home quite yet and take a nice stroll. To be honest, it was the first time today that he had been alone with his thoughts. When he woke up today, he went to his Mother's House to have breakfast with them, then to school, and then he hung out with his boys for what he would call a pretty cool fifteenth birthday. As he walked, he thought about his time in this world. When he found things out about it, sometimes he would thank F, and other times he would outright curse her. One thing was clear: the supernatural existed in this world—angels, devils, and dragons abounded. But she did give him a very nice weapon to deal with them, so he thought he would forgive her. One thing that he really loved was his home, Mansion Infinitas. With all the features the place had, saying that he would never be bored would be an understatement. Even thinking of the training simulators gave him the itch to teleport home and try a particular training mission that had given him trouble. But he decided to take the scenic route, so he would have some time to think.

He thought about the person he had just left, Amano. To be honest, Amano was his best friend. He thought if he could "bag" her, Tendou was a good match for him. His main reason was that she was not drawn to Eden because of his looks. Eden wasn't trying to be a narcissist, but he was the most attractive man he had ever seen in this life or the last. This was also a gift given to him by fate: sun-blond hair, nice facial features, and something that he even had in his last life—heterochromic eyes of blue and green. So, not being distracted when she had such an exotic specimen in front of her gave a lot of brownie points in his eyes. Then he thought about his other two friends, Kagetora Ichigaya and Fumiya Tomozaki. One was obsessed with getting an otaku girlfriend, and the latter was obsessed with Atafaimi. He could already see the look on Ichigaya's face when he found out that Amano got approached by a hot gamer girl. Amusing thoughts like those flashed through his mind as he walked through a neighborhood, almost halfway to his home, when he sensed something. His sixth sense honed in on a sort of wrongness in the air.

"Weaver, sense anything?" he thought.

[Yes, there seems to be a lot of divine energy in one of the nearby homes, and many strings of fate are wrapped up here.] Hearing the familiar but somewhat robotic voice of his sword's spirit, he asked another question. "Which house is it coming from?"

[The fourth to the right, sir.]

After hearing that, he thought for a moment. Maybe he should just go home and spend more peaceful days without worrying about the supernatural. But just as he did, his superhuman senses picked up a very muffled scream from a man. "Fuck it, we ball," saying that in English, he summoned his blade to his hand. The sword given to him by F, named Fateweaver. The blade of the sword resembled Viking swords made out of damascus steel, while the hilt was designed as if the sword was intended for ceremony, with intricate carvings. The only difference was in material because, instead of pure gold, the hilt was made of ebony. Looking at it made any nervousness about the situation go away and filled him with a bit of excitement for his first time using the weapon outside of a simulation.
