Chapter 16: Ch 16: Crabbe and Goyle
Lorion opened his eyes after the night's rest. He would have preferred to sleep some more, however, Max woke him up to feed him.
Last night, Lorion completed a few chapters from the book on Potions. When he woke up today, he remembered it was a big day for him. Today, he was going to Hogwarts!
A gentle knock outside the door pulled Lorion back from his thoughts. Lorion opened the door and saw Dobby staring at him with shiny eyes.
Dobby said "Madam has requested Young Master Gaunt's presence at the breakfast table. Young Master should quickly have his breakfast, or you will be late for Hogwarts Express."
"Thank you Dobby for your reminder. I will miss you at Hogwarts." Lorion smiled and walked away.
What Lorion meant was that he was going to miss Dobby's care at Hogwarts. Aft all, Dobby was extremely capable house elf.
However, to Dobby's ears, it felt that Young Master Gaunt would feel sad if he didn't find Dobby. Dobby was busy shedding tears of joy, completely ignoring the fact that Lorion already walked ahead with Max chirping angrily at him.
The morning breakfast was no different from the dinner, with Lucius and Lorion's polite remarks and Draco and Narcissa's continuous chattering. Before everyone left the table, Lucius informed that he met Snape and had a discussion with him.
Should both Draco and Lorion get selected in Slytherin, which Lucius had no doubt about, Snape would take care of them at Hogwarts.
Soon, the family of four apparated to the legendary Platform Nine and Three Quarters. Lorion saw an old Steam Engine, painted in black with a red board at the front and noted [Hogwarts Express- 5972].
Lorion followed Draco and quickly entered the compartment reserved for them. There were already two children in the compartment, both a bit round and healthy. Looking at them, Draco had a great smile on his face.
He looked at Lorion and explained "Lorion, let me introduce you, these are my childhood friends, Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle. And Crabbe, Goyle, this is my younger brother Lorion Gaunt."
Both Crabbe and Goyle were puzzled.
Crabbe asked "Draco, are you not a single child?" while Goyle asked "Gaunt, is it that Gaunt family?"
Clearly, both of them had different confusions! Malfoy cleared his throat and nodded "Yes, he is from the famous House of Gaunt. Uncle Mare made prophesy on Lorion's location, with which father found him. And Crabbe, didn't you hear, his surname is different from mine. He is the Godchild my father accepted. My father and mother are his Godfather and Godmother. So of course, we are brothers now. He is an orphan, so father decided to let him experience the warmth of family!"
