These were Gamanemu's eyes.
"Great Toad Sage, why disturb my slumber?" Gamanemu grumbled.
Though the Great Toad Sage was the Mount Myōboku ancestor, it was still irritating to be woken from its sleep.
"Gamanemu, you should be aware of the Gold List. You're now sixteenth on the pet list and eligible for handsome rewards. Consider rewarding me or Mount Myōboku," the Great Toad Sage requested.
"Gold List?" Gamanemu was initially bewildered but quickly recognized it as an extraordinary list of renowned individuals. He also noticed he'd entered the rankings.
"Hey, this Gold List is intriguing!" Gamanemu exclaimed.
The toad then discovered that his owner, Jiraiya, held the fifteenth position.
"Great Toad Sage, who is this Jiraiya, and why is he my master?" Gamanemu inquired.
The Great Toad Sage explained, "Anyone Summoned by humans is considered a pet, and Jiraiya has a Mount Myōboku Summoning contract. Since he's summoned you, he's your master, but our contracts are equal; don't worry."
"He summoned me? Well, sometimes I've felt uncomfortable, but I won't fret over it. The Gold List is intriguing; I'll look into it. If there's a reward, I'll give it to you or Mount Myōboku later," Gamanemu replied, turning his attention to the Gold List.
