Chapter 10: Chapter -7- Leaving Kunlun and Danny's mess

So Danny became the 'Iron Fist'.
Nothing unexpected there, though the process was a little bumpy here and there was nothing a little of plot armor and unknown help due to some great secret mystery about his life that is unknown and unsolved.
It took him two months to get his new powers under control and due to the 'Iron Fist' powers his strength and stamina increased drastically his speed and agility were also boosted a lot so was his endurance to a beating, I mean that is almost reaching superhuman levels.
Though it was the old man Lei Kung who beat him, watching it was very satisfying and sparring him with was a lot more difficult and painful as he still could not fully control his strength at all times and I became a victim to his problem.
--3 months later--
Now Danny could fully control his powers and at the beginning of June the gates connecting k u n l u n to the rest of the world finally opened, it was finally time for Me and Danny to leave the city, because as much as my time here was productive it was also boring as hell.
I also wanted to search for my maternal grandparents, but I didn't know where to start because aside from their names being Lei Wuhan and Lei Xueli I didn't have anything to go on, so I thought about leaving it to Grandpa and letting him send some men for the search.
Due to Danny's request, we first went to New York to take a look at the Rand industries, the company left by his father for him and I know about them, one of the greatest shipping companies in the world.
And I just found out that this guy Danny is very very rich, apparently he is even richer than me and I took him for some poor martial artist.
When we visited the company we were refused entry and Danny was taken for an imposter though I don't blame the receptionist as this guy was missing for 10 years, probably assumed dead and the current him with his getup he looks more like a poor sod and less like the owner of a company.
Though the guy just had to make a mess and fight the security and he was finally removed from the premises by the police after some guy who looked like he owned the place spoke something to him he was let go
By the way, I got away from him as soon as he looked like he would cause trouble in the lobby of the building of a multinational group Nah-ah I ain't taking part in such barbarian and uncivil behaviour.
When he was finally done he found me and spoke
"Dude, where were you the whole time?"
"There." I pointed to a bench on the side of the lobby.
"So you were just sitting there watching this whole time?"
"Yes(?)"
"You could've helped me!" He sounded angry
"How? By joining you and acting like an accomplice of a thug who started a brawl in the lobby of a multinational group, no thank you." I mean with all due respect, not doing that.
"Ugh, fair point."
"But you could testify to my identity."
"Nah, won't help."
"Why?"
"One, you look like some street hobo in your clothes not 'Daniel Thomas Rand', two, with the identity documents I got I have zero credibility and three, watching you jumping around like some dumb circus monkey was amusing."
"That's harsh."
"You are used to it, let's go."
After getting out of there me and Danny bought cell phones he would go around and search for a place to stay while I would go around the city to dig up if I could find something of help.
I thought of going to my company's New York branch but I realized I would receive the same treatment as Danny's, I could probably get them to call my grandfather but decided I will leave this option for later a decision which I was glad as the mess that cropped up later proved to be a lot more troublesome than expected.
I met up with Danny three hours later at the place he found, It was a dojo owned by a beautiful lady, f*ck Danny how did he even find a hidden dojo with a beauty owner in the alleys, is it his protagonist's beauty radar or something?
So the lady, Colleen Wing, decided to hire us after testing us, and so we got a place to stay.
And the next thing we know happened just like it always happens when the hero meets the heroine, sh*t just hits the fan.
So three hours after Danny meets Colleen killers come after us, mostly Danny I believe.
I kind of expected it you know, that's how origin stories unfold with complicated pasts, troublesome family history and villains in the story with a spice of unexpected betrayals.
So I will just try to stay alive watch the drama and pitch in help to speed up the plot so that I could go home fast.
I mean I get that I said Danny is like a little brother but this whole movie-style plot is kind of getting me off the rails.
During our multiple hit-and-runs with the hitmen and the digging we did in the next two weeks and a meeting with his father's lawyer who accompanied Danny to the company two weeks later with some evidence.
Danny then disappeared for 4 days and just as I was about to infiltrate Rand Industries he appeared with a wounded woman so f*ck Danny.
After having enough of him I asked colleen for help and with that, I tied him up and asked him to spill everything if he ever wanted to go out and boy I was surprised by the sheer stupidity of his plan when he told me everything.
Apparently, the second largest shareholder of the company Harold 'proclaimed dead' was alive and told Danny he was being controlled by The Hand a group of chi masters users and enemies of several generations of the 'Iron Fist'.
So while he was tied up I beat him up to vent my frustration at his plan to fight against the Hand alone to free him for his help and for the grudge I held for always losing and getting beaten up in our spars.
After that, I told him what I believed to be the truth and had him dump his plan and follow mine.
