Chapter 28: Drunken Chess Playing

Her brown hair swayed at the rhythm of the wind. A playful smile danced on her lips as she held her glass. Dylan widened his eyes and slightly parted his lips out of shock.

Sylvia was here. She stayed in his estate. The whole day. Where she had all the reasons not to-

"Yes, me." Her eyes met his. "I entered your chamber without forewarning. Are you angered by my unannounced presence?" Her blue eyes squinted in confusion. "I do apologize if I happened upon you in an inconvenient moment, Dylan." Sylvia said as her eyes scanned the prince from top to bottom in one glance.

Perhaps the young, handsome man's silk robe was too inappropriate for the likes of their situation. She thought. But who was here to point that out, anyway?

"No- No." He spurted out in reflex. "Of Of course not, Lady Icelyn, not at all. I did not anticipate your prolonged presence throughout the day." He looked away. "I did not think you would be here at all."
