Chapter 24: Ch-24: Ichimon I Choose You

Urahara was like, "Whoa, what the heck are you? And how many tricks do you have up your sleeve?" He looked seriously amazed, which was pretty cool. "I was pretty worried about sending Ichigo to the Soul Society before, but now with your powers, even the big-shot captains might have a hard time". I was basking in the compliments.

But leave it to Urahara to bring me back to Earth. He dropped the bombshell, "You've got a major flaw, buddy. You're so dumb when it comes to using your powers that it's embarrassing to watch." Ouch, that hurt. I mean, he had a point, but no need to rub it in like that!

Tessai looked like he had just seen a ghost. I mean, his most powerful spell, that Hado #88, got completely trashed by a kid with zero damage. Or maybe he was just stunned that a Danku didn't block a #88 Hado. It was kinda ironic, you know? In the series, those two only appeared together three times, and here I was, breaking that pattern like a boss.

Tessai laughed out loud, saying, "Ha ha ha, it's not that, but my secret attack – the bear hug!" I widened my eyes dramatically and terrified. "Oh no, I'm in danger! If the big man gives me a bear hug, I might as well go back reincarnated to my own world."

With that, I started running away from Tessai, who joined in the fun by chasing me. It turned into a hilarious game of tag as we raced around Urahara's training ground. Ichigo and Urahara watched, both amused and entertained, as the two of us continued our goofy chase.

As the days went by, the big day when we'd head off was getting nearer. Our gang had expanded, not just Ichigo, yours truly, and Urahara, but also Orihime and Sado. They were getting pretty good at managing their powers, way better than I ever could. But the real kicker was having the mysterious "black cat Yoruichi" on our team. When she first looked at me, her gaze felt like it pierced through the very depths of my soul.

We were all super excited, ready to jump into action. Urahara, with his usual flair, stepped up and said, "Alrighty then, I'm gonna open the portal now!" And just like that, out of nowhere, these four black pillars appeared and kinda connected, making it look like something straight out of a video game.

Urahara casually explained, "This here's what we call a reishi henkan, a Gate connecting two worlds. It's gonna be our ticket to the Soul Society, folks!" Man, that guy could make even the most complex stuff sound like a walk in the park.

As we stepped into that weird portal thingy, Urahara stayed back with Tessai and Kon, Yes he is now possessing Ichigo's real body. I mean, it's not like we were going to the Soul Society or anything, right? So, here we were, heading into who-knows-what which I already knew, and I had this gut feeling that we were in for a wild ride.

But there was one little detail I remembered: the Kotetsu. It's this train-like contraption that shows up every seven years to clean the path to the Soul Society. That shit is gonna attempt to clean us here now, we might face a problem due to butterfly effect.

As everyone rushed forward, I decided to show off my newly improved Kido skills. I muttered, "Hado #6 Hishoken," the one which covers my fists in ice and could freeze anything it touched, But was my training with Tessai for show? So, I did some quick modifications and turned my Kido forming ice around my feet, effectively forming ice skates. Yep, I was ready to glide through this magical realm like a pro. Why stop at freezing things when you can freeze the ground too? The first Kido skates in history made it's appearance.

Oh man, that Kotetsu showed up just like I thought it would. It started causing all sorts of problems for Ichigo and the gang. They were doing their best to dodge it, but honestly, I couldn't care less about the train trouble.

You see, I had already zoomed across to the other side a good five minutes ago. I was gliding on my homemade ice skates, effortlessly breezing past them like I was in an ice-skating race or something. Their faces were priceless – a mix of shock and envy – as I sailed by, showing off my newly acquired Kido skills. It was a moment of pure victory for me.

As everyone made it to the other side safely, Ichigo couldn't help but worry about me. He yelled, "Ridhiro, are you alright?" I mean, seriously? Did he even notice his own condition? He was being way too overprotective.

Yoruichi, the black cat, decided to intervene and gave Ichigo a solid paw slap, shutting him up. She then turned to him and said, "Look at the others and ask them, not that idiot." Ouch, that stung. It felt like an ultimatum – Friends, my heart felt shattered by that statement. Guess I should just stayed at school leading a normal life, and got a job, like my mother said.

As we made our way toward the entrance to Soul Society, we were suddenly faced with a massive obstacle - King Kong himself, who turned out to be none other than Jidanbo. Seriously, the guy was enormous. He glared down at us and declared, "You cannot enter."

I couldn't help but roll my eyes. I mean, obviously we knew that already. What did he expect us to do, turn around and go home? I exchanged a glance with Ichigo and couldn't resist the urge to shout, "Ichimon, I choose you!" Everyone looked at me with blank eyes. What? never seen Pokémon? Your all childhood is so bland.
