Chapter 37: Ch-37: Confronting Aizen
The whole of Soul Society was in turmoil by the news of Captain Toshiro's defeat. He was seriously injured, and his insides were burned to a crisp, and only by Rangiku's relentless effort, he was still barely alive for Squad 4 to operate. As the members of the Squad 4 were sweating buckets, pouring all their energy, the proliferation of the damage started to slow down.
Suddenly, the best possible character in the situation arrived, upon seeing her the members went tearful. It was none other than Captain Unohana, as she began diagnose the wound, a shock came to her face, she looked at Toshiro's face, still as cold as ice, but his consciousness have drifted in coma.
She boosted the already ongoing spell on his body, and the burnt wounds scraped off and closed at a speed noticeable to naked eye. Rangiku prayed for Toshiro's safety as the others watched the process intently.
Captain Commander Yamamoto looked at the captains present, and nodded his head, and said, "Too bad Shunsui, they are more dangerous than they seem, we cannot ignore such magnitude of attack to a Captain, as they have revealed to be a formidable force." Shunsui nodded his head with a sad face, as if he knew this order coming.
Yamamoto continued addressing all the Captains, "Everyone, the time have arrived to fully crush the rampant Ryoka, I hereby issue a Death Order against the Ryoka, Ridhiro." All the captains just vanished as the sentence completed, sparing no time, with a newfound motive to kill Ridhiro.
As the Captains left in hunt for Ridhiro, he together with Ichigo and Gang, reached the exit and went to Kukaku Shiba's humble abode, to express their thanks in providing invaluable support.
As we entered the mansion with Rukia, a loud popping sound, with a lot of confetti scattered on us. It was Kukaku and Ganju, "Congratulation on rescuing your friend" they shouted out with loud enthusiasm, but it died out in a moment as they saw Rukia.
"You!" Ganju screamed with a loud tone, "You were the one who killed my brother, brother Kaien". It was like a bomb dropped in the room as shocked faces scattered everywhere, but hey, I knew this was coming, hell I should have warned them before coming here, but let her fight with her own inner demons and problems herself.
And like a filler episode, everyone started personally questioning her about the whole context, why, can you not listen to the answer she gives to Ichigo and understand at once? The problem went on for atleast 2 hours, and I am skipping it, because it went as it was shown in the anime, They stupidly forgave her, I guess this part was really a filler.
Suddenly huge numbers of pressures locked us in the room, oh no we stayed here too long, and the conversation was cut in between. A total of 5 Captains have arrived to say hello to us. As we ran outside to confront them, Byakuya, Shunsui, Komamura, Aizen, Gin, were just waiting for us to confront.
I had a bad feeling as both Aizen and Gin were present, as we reached, the first one to speak was Aizen, "Surrender Ryoka, for you have nowhere to run, and we will provide you with a painless death". Shit, I ain't not talking with Aizen, before I could imagine, he might control my senses, and that will cause the end.
I attacked without warning Hado #13 Aojiro Bakuha.
<System>: Hado #13 Aojiro Bakuha: It releases a burst of Azure colored energy and cause a concentrated explosion, causing a powerful shockwave upon impact, damaging both the target and surrounding area.
A huge burst of spirit energy gathered, like an azure Kamehameha, and blasted towards the five opponents. The attack split into five homing rays midway, and branched out more upon reaching the targets. The captains skillfully dodged, except Komamura, he quickly used his Bankai, and the huge demon tanked the attack, and caused serious damage.
He shouted out, "I will kill you, and take vengeance for Tosen", his huge sword cleaved towards me, but another dose of the spell broke through his sword, leaving the huge demon without a sword. The main problem was, I could see Aizen taking out his Zanpakuto, he might attack at any moment.
Before Aizen could visibly plot something, I quickly rushed towards Rukia, and casted Hado #13 Aojiro Bakuha twice. The energy gathered was too much to handle, and kept swirling around in my hand. To everyone's surprise, I blasted the attack onto Rukia's chest, but nothing happened, as if the energy was devoured by something.
Something began to rise, and it was not the Shield hero, it was the coldness of the environment around us. A sudden change in Rukia occurred, her hair turned white, and her pressure skyrocketed. Sado's red hand formed a huge Shield in front of it, and a gun shaped cannon. The most suffered one was Ichigo, as his hollow mask began to take shape, his screams were dreadful.
I looked at the captains, they had a weird look on their faces. The simple thing I conducted was to compress the energy of the spell, and forcefully activating the Hogyoku in Rukia's body for a few milliseconds. The small frame of time was enough, for the powerup three of them received was enough for to stop Aizen from doing anything against us to our surprise.
My mind was filled with all the Aizen theories I read in my past life, they used to be entertaining but now they feels like dreadful. The innocent look on Aizen looks so pure, its next to impossible to guess his next move.
As everyone was ready and full of confidence to defeat the Captains, Rukia's body was still undergoing gradual transformation. It seems the Hogyoku have started to fuse with her. Aizen was just standing at his place with a pure smile, suddenly he pulled out his sword, "Shatter, Kyoka Suigetsu" The most fearful sentence I could hear in such situation, as the scene in front of us broke into pieces like glass.
