Chapter 8: Lower Moon 3
"You're dead… old ass," said Tsunenari.
Tsunenari charges towards the elderly man and begins to kick him. However, the old man evades the attack by crouching down and grabbing Tsunenari's right leg. The old man then throws Tsunenari towards some nearby trees. As Tsunenari is still in mid-air, the old man lunges forward and delivers a punch.
Tsunenari managed to deflect the old man's deadly punch with a kick. The old man then tried to strike him in the face, but Tsunenari dodged the attack by moving his head. However, behind him was a boulder that got destroyed into numerous pieces by the old man's single punch, surprising Tsunenari.
As a countermove, Tsunenari kicked the old man's stomach, but in response, the old man punched him in the cheeks, sending him airborne yet again. While still in the air, the old man appeared in front of Tsunenari and kicked him in the chin, causing him to soar even higher.
"What the f— how can an old man be so agile and that strong? He must be a demon, but even demons aren't that strong. Who is this old man?" thinks Tsunenari.
The old man is coming towards him while he's still in the sky. When the old man comes closer to him, he brings a knife concealed in his clothes and stabs the old man's eyes. He then grabs his face and throws him into the lake.
He then lands safely, and the old man is no longer there.
As he picks up his sword and retreats from the area, Tsunenari suddenly hears a loud sound emanating from the nearby lake. It turns out to be an old man, rising from the water and growing in size to become larger than even the surrounding trees. Tsunenari is frightened by this unexpected sight.
Tsunenari is shivering and thinks, "What?!! I thought he was innocent, no, I mean an old scum but still a human. And now, he has revealed his identity."
"Oi Oi Oi… What a shameless old hag. Do you still wanna fight and see yourself going to hell?" Says Tsunenari.
The elderly man, now transformed into a demon, ignores him and charges forward with his massive form.
WIND BREATHING 1ST FORM: DUST WHIRLWIND CUTTER
Tsunenari slashes the demon's left hand, but the demon remains unaffected and spews flames from its mouth at Tsunenari. Tsunenari deftly dodges the attack and retaliates by striking the demon with his sword, they go toe-to-toe with each other.
After a long and intense battle, Tsunenari finally spots an opportunity to strike and successfully beheads the demon.
Tsunenari is now exhausted after the long battle. He says, "Tch… I hate to accept it but it was the strongest demon I've ever encountered. Now the large f*cking demon is gone, I shall go as well."
As he prepares to leave, he notices that something is ripping within the demon's body. Suddenly, a new demon emerges by tearing apart the old demon's body. The new demon leaps 150 meters above the ground and appears in front of Tsunenari.
"WHAT!!!!!!! DID HE JUST REBIRTHED?!!! WHO IS THIS NEW DEMON?!!!!! ARE YA KIDDIN' ME?!!! WHO IS THIS NEW DEMON NOW?!!!" thinks Tsunenari.
A fearsome new demon has emerged, sporting a striking appearance with six muscular arms, two menacing horns, and long, dark hair. Its piercing red eyes are so large, they nearly reach its ears, adding to the creature's ominous presence. One of its eyes bears the strange inscription "Lower 3", marking it as a demon of the lower third rank. Its intense physicality and imposing aura make it a truly terrifying sight to behold.
Tsunenari immediately understands that the demon is one of the twelve kizukis, Lower Moon 3.
"KEKEKEKKEE…. HHUHHHUHHUHHHHH… HAHAHAHAHAA… HHAAAAHHHHAAAAHHHAAAA…" the demon laughs in a deep voice.
"Do you really think you defeat me so easily? It is such a shameful thing to be beaten by a kid like you. My name is Asmodeum. What's your name?" asked the demon, Asmodeus.
"Oh, a piece of sh*t like you wanna know my name before getting killed. Hahahahahahahaha…. How dare you talk to me like that? You moron," said Tsunenari.
Asmodeus instantly appears in front of Tsunenari and punches him so hard in his stomach that he starts vomiting blood. Then Asmodeus creates his own 6 spears with his blood demon art and attacks Tsunenari, but he defends himself with his sword.
But his swordsmanship is not enough to defend himself because Asmodeus is too fast and muscular for him to react. Asmodeus releases so many sharp attacks that he gets so many deep scars on his entire body. His entire body is covered with his blood.
"Oh sh*t, if he keeps attacking me like this then I'll die soon. I am losing my consciousness… What's happening? I can't see correctly. My visions are getting blurred," thinks Tsunenari.
As he is about to be killed, some demon slayers come and help him from the Asmodeus. Some kakushis were also there and tried to heal him, but Asmodeus instantly killed all of them with his insane speed. Only one kakushi managed to escape but couldn't leave Tsunenari alone.
Asmodeus picked up a massive stone and struck Tsunenari's head with it. The blow was so powerful that Tsunenari immediately lost consciousness. Asmodeus then dragged him by the head and threw him into the lake.
It was so horrible for the kakushi that he started crying but couldn't do anything, he had to leave Tsunenari dead and return to his hideout.
…he still has some consciousness remaining…
In the midst of the vast lake, Tsunenari is struggling to stay afloat as the water engulfs him completely. Despite his best efforts, he is slowly but surely sinking to the bottom of the lake. As he descends, his consciousness begins to fade, and he comes to terms with his inevitable defeat. With a heavy heart, he resigns himself to his fate and prepares to take his final breath.
"What are you doing, Tsunenari? Are you mad? You're ready to die just because you lost against a powerful demon. It's easy for you to die, but remember what you've promised to me."
Tsunenari was shocked by seeing his own father in the lake. It's his father's soul who came to help him. He remembers what he promised to his father when he was just 6 years old. He promised his father that he would take care of his siblings. He was the eldest among them.
He remembers…
"6 years ago, my family was a joint family. But due to conflicts, we had to leave the house and shift our home. My uncles and aunts hated my mother so much, my dad would try his best to protect my mother from his siblings. My dad was the eldest sibling among them. But then, we shifted our home away from my uncles and aunts.
But even after leaving the house, one of my aunts was so worried about the property that she didn't want my father to come back at any cost. And 2 years later, that b*tch decided to take the worst step that nobody would ever take. She did black magic on my family. She sacrificed the lives of two children just to perform some black magic on us.
She called forth a being that resembled a humanoid figure, but its entire body was dark as night, and its eyes were a striking shade of crimson red. She did it on 5 April, 1948. I can never forget that date.
On Day 1
My mother mysteriously died.
On Day 2
My one younger brother died
On Day 3
My younger sister committed suicide for no reason.
On Day 4
My other brother got killed by an unknown creature. Most probably a demon.
On Day 5
My other sister got killed by poison. There was no poison in our dinner, but still, my younger sister got killed.
On Day 6
My father had a dream where he talked with someone who was completely black and had crimson red eyes. The person was scary yet a helpful person. He said that his curse would kill everyone in that house, so we should leave the place as soon as possible. He didn't want to kill us.
When my father woke up at 3 A.M. 12 April, 1948, he picked up my younger brother and told me to leave the house immediately. We ran for 20 minutes straight until we reached the end of the village. But suddenly, my father fell down on the ground. I was so worried about my dad, but then something unexpected happened. My father dropped my younger brother who was just one year old and then attacked me with his full power.
My father's eyes turned red, I understood that my father was possessed by something. I fought my father to protect my brother at all costs. I fought him for 1 hour straight and then killed him by smacking a boulder at his head.
I mourned so much, that I had no choice but to kill my own dad. And then I picked up my younger brother and ran away. But then some people arrived there and caught me, I was beaten brutally for killing my dad. Kids even bullied me and I got imprisoned for 2 months. Everyone blamed me for killing my own family. I tried my best to keep my innocent side but I was forced to go insane and always remain unhappy for my entire life.
I deserve to die. I shouldn't live on this plane. Now I understand why Hanako-San hated me all the time, she didn't even like to see my face. I hated Hajime-San and Yamamoto-San, and I hope they'll forgive me. Forgive me, Koji. I can't protect you anymore......
Oh wait, I still have my katana. I can still win the battle."
When Asmodeus was devouring the dead demon slayers and kakushis, he saw Tsunenari tearing apart the entire lake and air and coming towards him.
Tsunenari's speed surpasses hypersonic, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake as he charges towards Asmodeus. The ground trembles and the trees are torn apart as he hurtles towards his opponent. Asmodeus, who had previously defeated Tsunenari, stands ready to face him once again. Both warriors are poised for the ultimate showdown, their eyes locked in a fierce gaze, as they prepare to engage in an epic battle.
With a fierce roar, Asmodeus charges towards Tsunenari, his six arms flailing wildly in all directions. But Tsunenari is quick on his feet and expertly dodges the demon's attack. And just when Asmodeus least expects it, Tsunenari strikes with all his might, delivering a powerful blow to the demon's back. The clash between the two is intense and electrifying, as both fighters refuse to back down.
The battle between Asmodeus and Tsunenari was intense and fierce. For 30 minutes, the two warriors fought with all their might, each determined to emerge victorious. Asmodeus finally gained an advantage and stabbed Tsunenari with his spear. However, Tsunenari was not one to be defeated easily. In a swift move, he drew his sword and sliced off Asmodeus's head, ending the battle once and for all.
