Chapter 9: [9] Where The Wind Blows

As Laughter reverberated through Party's Bar as Shanks, Luffy, and the entire Red-Haired Pirates crew relished the joyous atmosphere,Uta entered the bar with a theatrical flourish, her presence filled with elegance.

Spotting Shanks laughing heartily and Luffy nearby, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy. Playfully, she approached them, her eyes teasing as she addressed Luffy.

"Hey, Luffy, you better stay away from Shanks! He's mine to annoy!" Uta teased, sticking her tongue out at Luffy before turning to Shanks with a playful pout. "Why are you laughing so hard, Shanks?"

Shanks chuckled, wiping away a tear of laughter. "Ah, it's nothing, Uta. Luffy here is just too funny." He glanced at Luffy, who was giving him a mock-outraged look. "Don't worry, Luffy, you're alright in my book."

Luffy beamed, feeling accepted and cherished by the Red-Haired Pirate Captain. "Good! 'Cause I think you're awesome!"

Their playful banter continued, filling the bar with infectious laughter. Amidst their teasing, Luffy turned his attention to Uta and asked a curious question, "So, Uta, I know what everyone else in your crew does, but what's your role on the ship?"

Uta raised an eyebrow, a playful glint in her eyes. "Well, I'm the diva, of course."

Luffy looked puzzled. "Diva? What's that?"

Uta exaggeratedly widened her eyes and gawked at Luffy as if he had just revealed a great mystery. "You seriously don't know? Like, are you messing with me?" She watched Luffy's face with comedic suspicion, making everyone laugh even harder.

Shanks couldn't help but laugh at the exchange. "Alright, Uta, why don't you explain it to our young friend here?"

Uta sighed dramatically. "Fine. Luffy, I'm the musician of our crew. I sing, play instruments, and make sure everyone has a good time with music."

Lucky Roux, known as the chef of the ship, leaned in with a wide grin. "Uta's pretty amazing. She's like the heartbeat of our crew."

Uta blushed slightly at the compliment. "Thanks, Roux"

Roux suggested with a hearty laugh, "Hey, Uta, why don't you show Luffy here a bit of what you do? Let him experience your music firsthand!"

The crew roared with approval, clinking their glasses together. Uta nodded, a gleam of excitement in her eyes. "Alright, let's do it! Get ready for a performance you won't forget, Luffy!"

As Uta agreed to perform, the crew of the Red-Haired Pirates swiftly cleared out the bar area. They joined a couple of tables together, creating an impromptu stage at the center.

Uta gracefully ascended to the stage, her presence capturing the attention of everyone in the bar.

She began her performance with singing

"Kono kaze wa doko kara kita no to

Toikakete mo sora wa nani mo iwanai

Kono uta wa doko e tadoritsuku no

Mitsuketai yo jibun dake no kotae wo"

Her voice was like a gentle breeze, carrying the listeners away to a distant place. Uta's performance was akin to a beautiful painting coming to life.

Her voice held a touch of nostalgia, evoking emotions in those who listened. She moved with elegance, her expressions conveying the song's heartfelt lyrics.

The entire bar, including the Red-Haired Pirates and the locals, watched in awe as Uta continued to sing, her voice carrying a message of hope and determination.

Among the spectators, Luffy's eyes shone like a galaxy as he saw Uta's mesmerizing performance. The atmosphere was filled with an enchanting blend of music and emotions.

Uta moved seamlessly into the second verse of the song, her voice resonating with a deep sense of longing and strength.

"Sorezore ni shiawase wo mezashi

Kizutsuite mo sore demo te wo nobasu yo

Kanashimi mo tsuyosa ni kawaru nara

Arekuruu arashi mo koete ikeru hazu

Shinjiru sono tabi no hate de mata aitai"

As she sang, the Red-Haired Pirates couldn't help but get into the rhythm. Shanks tapped his foot to the beat, and Benn Beckmann, the vice-captain, picked up a nearby mug and started using it as a makeshift drum.

Lucky Roux's fingers danced on the table, creating a unique percussion sound. Uta's performance had an infectious energy that swept through the crew, turning the bar into a lively concert.

Amidst the musical celebration, Makino watched Uta with wide-eyed admiration. Her heart swelled with emotion as she whispered to herself, "How beautiful..."

Uta's performance continued to resonate with everyone present. Each note and lyric carried a story of determination, resilience, and the pursuit of dreams and adventure even while facing difficulty and set backs along the way.

It was a magical moment where music brought people together, and even the stoic Benn Beckmann found himself lost in the melody.

The atmosphere in the bar was nothing short of enchanting, and Luffy, seated in the midst of it all, felt like he was being swept away by the music and emotions surrounding him.

As Uta transitioned into the chorus, her voice soared with a captivating blend of hope and determination

"Mezameta mama miru yume kesshite same wa shinai

Suihеisen no kanata sono kage ni te wo furu yo

Itsu madе mo anata e todoku you ni utau wa

Ookiku hirogeta ho ga matou aoi kaze ni nare"

The entire bar was now enraptured by her performance. The Red-Haired Pirates joined in with claps, harmonizing with her in joyful unity.

Shanks wore a warm smile, his eyes filled with pride for his talented daughter. It was a moment of sheer musical magic, where the power of Uta's voice resonated with the dreams of everyone present.

Makino couldn't help but be moved by the beauty of it all. Tears welled up in her eyes as she watched Uta sing with unwavering passion. She knew that this was a performance she would remember forever.

Uta's song reached its climax, and she belted out the final notes, her voice carrying a sense of hope and a promise of bar erupted into applause and cheers as Uta took a gracious bow.

Luffy, his eyes shining like galaxies, couldn't contain his excitement and joined in with a hearty cheer, "That was amazing, Uta!"

As Uta finished her performance and returned to Shanks' side, the crew and the bar's patrons erupted into applause. Her cheeks flushed with a mixture of excitement and happiness as she felt the warmth of their appreciation. She looked at Shanks, who gave her an approving nod and a proud smile.

Makino, deeply moved by Uta's singing, approached her and embraced her in a tight hug. "That was absolutely beautiful, Uta," she said with genuine admiration. "Your voice is like an angel's."

Luffy, still beaming with excitement, walked up to Uta. "You looked like an angel up there! That was amazing!" he exclaimed, his eyes shining like stars.

Uta thanked Luffy with a warm smile and her heart filled with warmth due to his genuine compliment. "Thank you, Luffy. It means a lot"

As Uta and Luffy continued to talk, Luffy's curiosity got the better of him. "Hey, what's the name of that song you sang?" he asked with genuine interest.

Uta grinned, her red and white hair flowing with her enthusiasm. "It's called 'Where the Wind Blows,' Luffy. I wrote it while traveling with the crew."

"Wow! That's amazing"

As Uta stood there, surrounded by newfound friends who appreciated her music, she knew that such moments are the moments she will never forget!

Shanks and Makino shared a heartfelt look as they watched Luffy and Uta bonding over their conversation. It was a special moment, seeing the two young souls connect through music and shared experiences. It was as if fate had brought them together in that very bar.

Makino watched Luffya and Uta with a soft smile, thinking about Luffy making new friends. No one his age had been around here before, and it warmed her heart to see him forming bonds with Uta.

Shanks, watched as his daughter formed bonds of her own, just as he had with his beloved crew. It was a touching reminder of the beauty of the journey, the friendships it forged, and the dreams that bound them all together.

Uta and Luffy continued to chat animatedly about music and singing. Luffy's eyes sparkled with enthusiasm as he expressed his wish to sing like her someday. Uta playfully teased him, saying that with his notorious lack of patience and wild nature, he'd never be able to sing like that.

Luffy, never one to back down from a challenge, insisted, "I can too!" The banter between the two of them continued until Shanks decided to intervene. "Come on, you two. You're close in age. Why not be friends?"

Uta, still with a playful glint in her eye, quipped, "We're not that close in age, you know. I'm eight, and Luffy is only six."

Shanks, with a chuckle, waved off the age difference. "Ah, details, details. Luffy, how about you take Uta around the village tomorrow? Show her around Foosha and what it has to offer!"

Luffy's eyes lit up with excitement, and he grinned at Uta. "Yeah, that sounds awesome! We're gonna have so much fun!" The prospect of a new friend and a day of adventure filled him with boundless energy.

Under the starry skies, the Red-Haired Pirates and Luffy enjoyed their evening in Foosha Village. Uta's melody had left an indelible mark on everyone's hearts, forging a connection that would shape the future of young adventurers.
