Choji felt a sense of uneasiness from this whole test. He knew something big was going on, and he knew Naruto was at the center of it. Ino told him he didn't need to worry about any of that. They were here to get their promotions, not get mixed up in Naruto's affairs, and she told him that she would be there for him throughout this whole test.
Choji smiled. Ino was kind and always knew how to make him feel better. They'd grown close ever since being on the same team, and while he would never admit it to anyone, he was in love with the kind of woman she had become after training in that rift. But he also realized that it had been Naruto's selfless sacrifice that allowed for this version of Ino, for the current version of him, to be born.
He wasn't going to spit on that because he fell for his teammate after the two had already been in love with each other and in an informal relationship. He would admire the beautiful platinum flower from afar and hope that one day, he too would find his own.
He promised himself to protect his team, his friends, and his forbidden flower at the cost of his life; exam or not, mission or not. He was that kind of guy, and he appreciated everything Naruto had done for him, for all of them. He would repay his debts tenfold. He was a man of his word.
He looked forward at the entrance to the Forest of Death and got ready to do whatever it took to make sure his team was victorious, to make his village and his clan proud.
The gates opened and he and his team flew in to complete their assigned objective.

Sakura and Haku had made an agreement with the other girls in the harem just before the chunin exams began. Avoid getting Naruto in a precarious situation at all costs, because they knew that the fool would take a bijū bomb to the chest if it meant saving even one of them.
And while they were incredibly touched at the sentiment, they didn't want him getting hurt again, not for them, not like the last time.
Sasuke had at one point been the only one to even offer any form of resistance against the stubborn blonde philanderer. But now, even if they couldn't match his ridiculous power output, they could match him in speed, jutsu, technique, or resistance. They all had something that they were better at than Naruto, or at least equal to, individually, and they continued to train and work hard to not be a burden on him.
To not make him feel the need to throw his life away for their own.
So, as they sped off toward their first target, Team Dosu, they made sure to be on extreme alert. Naruto hadn't told him who that weird grass-nin was, but they knew that he was the only one who could handle that monster with more than just a hope of success.
Eventually, they found them, and Naruto was just in time to teleport Kin to his side before her party members stabbed and incapacitated her.
"You're lucky I'm so fast, Kin. You were about to be killed... or worse" He growled at the end when sensing the emotions coming from the two bags of meat.
"... I... see. I knew they were desperate but to try and kill me because I told them to shove it is beyond pathetic." She gave them a look of disgust.
"I wouldn't mind you shoving it into me, though..." She said with a straight face and no shame.
Sakura and Haku had to hold in their blanch at the crassness of this hoe. They would need to get her in line before she started taking him all to herself. That injustice would not stand!
But for now, they grabbed her and put her next to Haku's side while Sakura got ready to pound some flesh, "I'll take care of them, Naruto. You've got a big one coming up, so just stretch and relax, this'll be over sooner than you think."
"Heh? You think you can beat us girlie? Please, you won't even make it past my jutsu." Zaku boated and motioned to activate his Zankuha.
But before he could, Sakura dashed in front of him and gave him a savage right hook to his jaw that sent him careening through the trees. She dashed towards him once more and gave him an uppercut, sending him flying upwards. She finished by jumping past his flying body and using Tsunade's signature, "Heaven's Kick of Pain!"
Kicking his body down towards the ground forming a crater. He wasn't all the way dead, but he wouldn't be moving much; ever.
Haku and Naruto took out two score paddles each and gave her a rating of 340 points. She was a little miffed, but Naruto always emphasized the need to fight with style. He was a harsh critic.
Dosu meanwhile looked on in horror. The one presumed to be the weakest, per Kabuto's reports, just completely obliterated Zaku in less than 30sec. And then they were scoring each other! What kinds of freaks are they!!
He made to retreat but was caught in what seemed to be a genjutsu, preventing him from moving. He tried to release the spell, but couldn't move or even flare his chakra. His reserves were insufficient to break through the chakra coursing through his network.
This girl, Sakura, had more chakra than he and his team combined! How was that possible!!
Before Dosu could find a way out of this predicament, he got a solid punch through the gut that nearly liquified his internals, but Sakura held back just enough to keep him from dying, since her hubby wanted to study his techniques, and he needed to be alive for that.
She looked at that score paddles and saw 390 points. She was pleased with herself.
Kin looked at the spectacle in awe and relief. She made the right decision by becoming this monster's bitch. Otherwise, she'd be on the ground, halfdead like her former teammates. She hugged Naruto and kissed him passionately, desperate, "Please use me however you like, you won't be disappointed."
Haku blanched and Naruto chuckled, "You don't have to be so afraid, Kin. I won't hurt you. I'll mess you up, but I won't hurt you. You're mine."
Naruto kissed her softly and gave her some of the most heartwarming tenderness she'd ever experienced. She melted in his arms.
"Cut it out, you two. We're about to have company." Sakura commented, annoyed.
"Fine, fine. Grab these two and go to the proctor outside. Your team's been eliminated. Don't worry, you'll have an escort with you." Naruto told Kin and pointed to the five ANBU in the trees above.
Kin was speechless, just who was she fucking?
She nodded and kissed his cheek before she grabbed her dirtbag teammates and looked for Anko.
Naruto sighed and rolled his neck, "Get ready guys. This is going to get ugly real quick; I suggest you bring your A-Game."
The ANBU wanted to scoff, thinking he was being cocky, but those who knew were certain that this kid was doing them a favor by taking point on this mission.
