Chapter 206: Ch. 206: First Round
"Alright, guys! Since this is the elite league's first ever tournament, there aren't enough qualified competitors to warrant a battle-royale first round. As such, the matches for the tournament proper have already been chosen via a random drawing. They will be as follows:"
The fighters' codenames showed up on the third barrier, but the matches were:
Piccolo vs. Nappa
New Legacy Elite, Collin vs. Krillin
Me vs. Videl
Pigero vs. Vegeta
Raditz vs. New Legacy Elite, Vert
New Legacy Elite, Bleu vs. Goku
Yamcha vs. Gohan
Tien vs. Rise.
We'd chosen these via an old-school drawing in one of the waiting rooms on the second floor, and honestly, Collin, Videl, Vert, Bleu, and Yamcha all looked a little pale when they'd learned who they were matched up against.

Now, though, Piccolo and Nappa were both looked incredibly serious as they faced each other in the hallway that led to their respective entrances to the stage.
"Good luck, Piccolo. You may be stronger than me, but don't think for a second that this battle will be easy. If I'm gonna go down, I'm going down fighting to the end, Satan." Nappa declared, looking into the Namekian's eyes and extending his hand out.
Piccolo grabbed Nappa's hand and shook it, "Wouldn't dream of this going down any other way. Show me everything you've got, Bull." After the handshake, their halls branched out, going their separate ways. The next time that they saw each other, they were exiting the hallways from different sides of the arena, an impressive, empty space between them.
As they entered the arena, the ki-field engaged behind them, blocking them from exiting until the match was over.
"Alright, in one corner, we have the incredible demon lord, king of the underworld, SATAN! Not to be confused with Hercule Satan, who will be seeded in the very last round of the tournament, in order to fight the overall victor for the spot of first place." That fight'd be rigged so badly.
"And in the other corner, we have the man who made a name for himself as a wandering hero of sorts before ever joining up with Legacy: Beloved trainer of one of the elite warriors participating in this VERY tournament, BULL!"
...
"BOSS!!! YOU'VE GOT THIS!!! BOOSSSS!!!" The audience looked around as they heard a strange, faint sound, but most of them shook it off as a mirage. Meanwhile...
"Shut up."
"Yessir, Mr. Vegeta, sir." Down in the waiting rooms with the fighters, Vegeta was glaring at a large man with a slight killing intent laced in his voice, as the man stared at the screen depicting the fight going on above with tears in his eyes, for two reasons now.

"Aand...! FIGHT!"
"BULL RUSH!"
"Huh?!" Nappa started the fight off by using his full Silver Mode power, cloaking himself in a brilliant white aura and launching himself at Piccolo, who reacted by dodging so swiftly that it left an afterimage where he'd been standing.
Shattering right through the afterimage, the blinding aura that was Nappa blasted straight through the arena before hitting the ki barrier on the other side, but Nappa hadn't stayed with that aura.
Once it had passed Piccolo's location, the ki inside of Nappa's Bull Rush aura had left Nappa's body, allowing him to stop on a dime and engage the Namekian in hand-to-hand combat while the energy kept going, cloaking him for a moment.
'BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!' The two fighters fought ferociously in a melee that seemed to twist the air inside of the arena's ki barriers with its power. But neither of them stopped there.
"MASENKO HAAA!" Piccolo shouted, throwing a full-powered Masenko wave at Nappa.
"WRECKING BALL!" In response, Nappa shot off a ball of compressed ki, meeting the Masenko in mid-air. The explosion made it difficult to see inside, but the screen built into the third ki-barrier that WAN was controlling showed the two competitors movements clearly. Shouting, Piccolo increased the power of his Masenko (and his Silver Mode) in order to counter Nappa's Wrecking Ball. Now, Piccolo was at the full 25X increase of a normal Silver Mode, making his power level easily twice that of Nappa's. Nappa's hastily crafted Wrecking Ball didn't stand a chance, and the energy wave blasted straight through it, hitting Nappa and tossing him to the ground like a rag doll.

"BOOOOSSSSSS!!!!!"
"I will kill you, if you keep shouting like that."
"MY APOLOGIES, MR. LUCIFER, SIR!"
...
"Heh. You're stronger than you look, Namekian."
"Stronger than you, anyway." Piccolo replied, drifting back to the ground as Nappa spat out a tooth that'd been knocked loose by Piccolo's Masenko. Nappa'd clearly lost that exchange. The Legacy Gi that he'd been wearing, at least the top part, was ripped to shreds and he had a large bruise forming on his chest, but Nappa stood proud.
"If I taught my students anything, that just means that I need to fight smarter." Nappa told Piccolo with a smirk. "I can't look like a wimp in front of the entire world, now can I?"
"Heh. I suppose not." Piccolo agreed. In response, Nappa lifted his hand. Or more precisely, two fingers. "I'm not out of this fight yet!" With that, the ring underneath Piccolo exploded. It didn't actually damage the ring much, due to the energy field covering it, but the explosion and the resulting confusion were the real deal. Using it as a distraction, Nappa charged up a large amount of ki. "ERASER GUN!"
"NOT QUITE!" In response to the coming danger, Piccolo threw a barrage of Ki orbs at Nappa, but the Eraser Gun was a ruse. The large amount of Ki that Nappa'd been charging up in his hand spread to cloak his entire body,
"BULL RUSH!"
"You already tried that!" Responding to Nappa's Bull Rush, Piccolo jumped up as quickly as he could, knowing that the energy's direction was difficult to change mid-rush.
"NOT LIKE THIS! RAZING WIND RUSH!" Stopping underneath Piccolo's location, the energy in Nappa's Bull Rush left him once more, but this time, it changed. A small whip-like tendril of dense energy was inside of it, whipping back and forth inside of the frenzied, chaotic energy that composed the Bull Rush. As Nappa stopped, the whip forcibly changed the direction of itself, along with the rest of the energy, spreading out a bit, but still converging on Piccolo's location midair.
'BOOM!'
