Chapter 89: Power of the Island

The golden light particles gradually disappeared into the boundless sky, and the souls of endless ages that had circled over this vast land could finally unload their burdens and return to their ultimate destination.

The golden sword, Claiomh Solais, exuded a very sorrowful emotion as it gently trembled and caused the halo of light on the blade to suddenly dissipate.

Although its outward appearance remained unchanged, the spirit within it vanished without a trace, giving off a sense of 'death'.

Arkhan silently watched, his black eyes revealing a hint of complexity.

This was the Divine Construct that had followed Nuada the longest and had long since developed its own will.

Even when the one it followed departed, it still chose to follow in their footsteps.

"Really, what's this all about?"

Arkhan sighed softly as he gazed at the lifeless sword.

"It's really unbelievable, but this sword seems to be quite loyal, huh?" Nidhogg muttered inside Arkhan.

Arkhan turned to look at the silver arm, Airgetlam.

"So, what's your plan now?"

After a long pause, an emotionless voice echoed in Arkhan's ears, "I will uphold the will of my lord and bear witness to your journey until the very end."

Arkhan narrowed his eyes slightly. "If you wish to bear witness, I won't stop you, but you must promise not to cause any trouble."

"Since my lord has entrusted me to you, I will obey your arrangements." Airgetlam's will declared.

"I have never believed in verbal promises." Arkhan said calmly, and a crimson feather suddenly fell from the void and merged into the silver arm.

"What is this? What have you done to me?!" Airgetlam's voice suddenly carried a hint of panic.

"Just a precaution. As long as you don't have any ill intentions, there won't be any problems. But if you dare to have any, I can assure you that you'll vanish from this world in an instant."

Arkhan spoke with an emotionless voice.

Airgetlam's will was filled with resentment. Since its creation, not even the God King Nuada had ever threatened it like this!

This human was too arrogant!

Airgetlam's will was about to reprimand Arkhan harshly, but upon noticing the trembling of the crimson feather inside itself, it was instantly rendered speechless.

After subduing the will of Airgetlam, Arkhan used his hand to write [Rune - Space] in the air, then he threw Airgetlam and Claiomh Solais into the Rune's space storage.

Arkhan looked down at the battlefield below. His knight order had already decimated the main forces of the Dead Apostles and Chimeras, and they were now pursuing the remaining remnants.

"It seems like I won't need to get involved..." Arkhan muttered under his breath.

*Buzz—*

Suddenly, an inexplicable aura swept past him. Arkhan instantly raised his head, gazing at the slightly flickering crimson moon in the sky, his eyes narrowing.

"That is..."

On the mercury throne suspended in the void, Morgan, dressed in a long black dress, no longer exuded the casual air she once did. Her delicate, pretty face now bore a profound seriousness.

Observing Altrouge's twin irises that transformed into pure gold, an overwhelming sense of danger clung to Morgan like thick mercury, making even her breath a laborious effort.

It was terrifying. Even the former Vortigern hadn't weighed on her with such oppressive power.

'Altrouge' with her golden eyes scanning over Morgan, then remarked thoughtfully, "No wonder I smelled a familiar scent; you're a fragment or maybe avatar of the primordial fairy, yes?"

Morgan's body tensed slightly. Her most profound secret so easily unveiled?

"In that case, out of respect for the primordial fairy, I'll offer you a chance to end yourself."

'Altrouge' stated with an indifferent tone, as if discussing a trivial matter, like ants on the ground.

Morgan remained silent. The magic circles behind her suddenly erupted with blinding radiance. Dozens of terrifying magical beams, accompanied by deafening roars, hurtled towards 'Altrouge'.

"Your resistance is futile."

'Altrouge' remained unperturbed, her expression as calm as water.

With a slight gesture of her hand, a resounding explosion rang out. It was as if an invisible giant hand had grasped the beams, preventing them from advancing any further. The moment 'Altrouge' clenched her hand, all the magical beams exploded!

"Argh!"

Morgan didn't manage to evade the shockwaves of the explosion. Her pale golden hair and gown became disheveled, giving her a more unkempt appearance.

"Hahh... hahh..."

With a deep, drawn breath, Morgan finally realized that her opponent was far more powerful than she had ever imagined. Faced with such a foe, she knew she'd have to give it her all to have a fighting chance today.

Morgan took a deep breath and snapped her fingers.

*Rumble!*

The earth seemed to tremble slightly. Countless colorful lights emerged from the ground, the forest, and the small river, from various parts of the British Isles, converging into her body, like rivers merging into an ocean.

Morgan's aura grew increasingly vast and weighty, despite her slender figure. It was like she embodied the entire British Isles.

"Power of the Island?"

'Altrouge' raised an eyebrow slightly, a hint of curiosity in her golden eyes.

"So, you're Uther's child, the girl who inherited the 'Power of the Island'."

A tremendous surge of magical energy gathered within Morgan, like the ocean's tides. The magic circles floating behind her merged one by one, ultimately forming a colossal magic circle with a radius of ten meters, nearly blotting out half the sky.

Morgan's finger extended, pointing towards 'Altrouge', and from her full red lips came cold words:

"Submit to the Power of the Island!"

*Rumble—!*

A colossal beam of light shot forth from the magic circle, creating a surge of magical energy that caused the sea of true ether to roil. The sheer power made the very fabric of the space tremble intensely.

Beneath the sky-obscuring brilliance, the body of 'Altrouge' appeared minuscule, like an ant, but in her pure gold eyes, there was a hint of mocking amusement.

"Just a mere tiny island; you actually think you can stand against a planet?"

'Altrouge' extended her hand toward the crimson moon above, which shimmered momentarily before unleashing an equally massive crimson beam of light. The two beams collided, and for a moment, time seemed to halt, then—

*BOOOOOM—!!!*

In the center of the collision, a terrifying anomaly akin to a black hole formed.

Everything around it was violently drawn in and obliterated, and the ensuing storm wreaked havoc, lifting chunks of the earth several inches thick.
