Chapter 310: Sieg

From the moment Arkhan arrived in this world until now, he had pretty much figured out the situation in the Black Faction.

Although there were some changes in certain aspects, the overall direction of this faction remained largely unchanged from the original work's development.

As a result, he could reasonably conclude that the factor leading to the crisis of this world wasn't likely in the Black Faction.

On the other hand, the changes in the Red Faction could be described as earth-shattering.

Up to now, he still didn't know the true identities of Berserker of Red and Archer of Red. Adding Amakusa Shirou Tokisada who was an extremist, it was hard to say if he was up to something behind the scenes.

To uncover what was really going on with the Red Faction, he decided to use the information of Caster of Red's death and Saber of Red's defection to instigate Vlad and Darnic to launch a full-scale attack on the Red Faction.

This was a straightforward plan.

Even if Vlad and Darnic knew his intentions, they would still jump in without hesitation. Such opportunities were rare and hard to come by, so they wouldn't easily let it slip away.

However, the Red Faction wouldn't just surrender easily either.

It was bound to be a tough battle.

"Hahh~ Looks like our leisurely vacation is about to end, huh..." Nidhogg lazily stretched. "Too bad I haven't had the chance to fully experience the scenery of this era."

"Don't worry, there will be another chance next time." Arkhan chuckled.

"It's a deal then. If you happen to forget, I won't let you off the hook, okay?"

She playfully smiled, adding a hint of girlish charm.

"But..."

Nidhogg suddenly approached and gently hugged Arkhan, resting her head against his broad chest, and whispered.

"What I truly like isn't this era, but the feeling of having you by my side..."

Arkhan cradled Nidhogg's soft body with one hand, the other gently stroking her silky black hair as a hint of tenderness appeared in his eyes.

"Don't worry, when this journey ends, we will reunite. I'll be by your side, even if you try to chase me away, I won't leave."

"Stop talking nonsense, how could I bear to chase you away?" Nidhogg lifted her head, gazing at his face with a dreamy look. "Really... Meeting you is the luckiest thing in my life..."

Looking at those eyes filled with deep affection, an indescribable emotion welled up in Arkhan's heart. Instinctively, he followed his own instincts and slowly lowered his head.

Nidhogg's delicate face blushed with a rosy hue, but she didn't evade. She just gently closed her beautiful eyes, presenting a fragile appearance.

Their lips met, but unlike the previous gentleness, this was an intensely passionate kiss. Both sides seemed to be demanding from each other eagerly, fervent and fiery.

It wasn't until a full ten minutes later that the two finally parted ways.

"Huff..." Nidhogg's hot breath exhaled with a scorching fragrance.

She seemed as if she had drunk too much, her dazzling starry eyes were hazy, and her beautiful face was completely covered with intoxicating blush, making her even more enchanting than usual.

"Wanna do it?" Nidhogg smiled at him, using a tone filled with irresistible temptation, "You've been dying to see me in those lewd clothes, haven't you? Well, now's your chance~"

Arkhan was slightly surprised; she had never been this bold before.

"But it's still daytime..."

"What's the problem?" Nidhogg's delicate hand gently rested on his broad chest. "Who knows when the next time will be after this one."

With a sudden push, he was caught off guard and found himself lying on the bed.

"So, I've decided to leave you with some unforgettable memories..." Nidhogg triumphantly declared, leaning over him. "This time, I'm taking the lead..."

*Knock!* *Knock!* *Knock!*

The sudden knocking on the door instantly froze Nidhogg's smile.

"Who's the bastard knocking? Can't they see we're busy?"

She angrily rolled off the bed, ready to confront the intruder, but Arkhan grabbed her arm.

"Let me handle it." Arkhan chuckled helplessly.

In Nidhogg's current state, whoever was outside would likely get a beating.

Arkhan quickly straightened his clothes, walked to the door, and opened it to find Siegfried's Master, Gordes.

"Need something?" Arkhan asked curiously.

"Well..." Gordes hesitated. "Rider, are you free now? There's something... I need your help with..."

'It must be about that homunculus...' Arkhan thought, narrowing his eyes slightly, then nodded. "Sure."

After comforting Nidhogg, he followed Gordes to his room.

When he arrived, he unsurprisingly saw the homunculus.

Compared to their first meeting, the homunculus looked much better now. His complexion was healthier, and his body seemed a bit more robust, but Arkhan could still sense the faint, almost firefly-like vitality emanating from him.

Although Gordes had taken care of him, the fundamental issue remained unresolved.

This was probably why Gordes came seeking his help.

Seeing Arkhan, Sieg instinctively shrank back, a hint of fear appeared in his eyes. He vividly remembered that day when this man stood with Caster.

Glancing at the cans piled nearby, Arkhan raised an eyebrow and turned to Gordes.

"Is this all you prepared for him?"

Gordes nodded.

"Leaving Sieg here is too dangerous... I plan to find a chance to send him off to the Einzbern family; they should have a solution to his body issues. However, he's too weak right now and probably won't even make it out of Trifas. That's why, I'm hoping you can come up with something."

Gordes was always decisive. Since he had already decided to seek Rider's help, there was no need to keep anything from him.

"Sieg?" Arkhan's expression turned somewhat peculiar. "Is that the name you gave him?"

"Yes, any problem?" Gordes asked, puzzled.

"Ahem, no, nothing..." Arkhan cleared his throat, skimming over that topic. "But even if you've sent him out of this place, can you guarantee he'll make it to the Einzberns?"

Hearing that, Gordes hesitated for a moment.

"You should also know, including your Sieg, every homunculus in this place is different from modern people. They can't adapt to modern society on their own; someone needs to guide them."

"Wait, what do you mean by 'guide them'? You want me to free all the homunculus?"

"Isn't that the natural thing to do? You can't just ignore the other homunculi, right? After all, you're their true creator." Arkhan shrugged his shoulders. "Who else can do it but you?"

"S-Stop joking. Just for him, I'm taking such a huge risk. If I were to release all those homunculi, Darnic would tear me apart." Gordes said, trembling with fear.

"It's okay. Darnic has put everything on the line for the Holy Grail now. If he achieves his goal, he won't care about these minor things. And if he fails, do you think you still need to fear him?" Arkhan said meaningfully.

Gordes hesitated. Although Rider's words seemed reasonable at first, something felt subtly off.

"Are you sure that after seeing Sieg, you can keep using those homunculi as expendables without feeling any psychological burden?" Arkhan continued.

Hearing that, Gordes became even more hesitant, then turned to look at Sieg. In those eyes, he saw the same desire for survival as any ordinary human.

"Even so, we can discuss it after the Holy Grail War is over..." Gordes said softly.

"Don't worry. With Archer and me around, Caster can't touch him at all."

Arkhan said with satisfaction, patting Gordes on the shoulder. In doing so, he felt he fulfilled his promise to Heracles.

He turned toward Sieg, and soon, black and white lights intertwined in his hand, forming a massive lance.

Seeing the sharp tip of the lance, Sieg instinctively took a step back, a hint of fear in his eyes.

Gordes was startled too, but then he remembered that day Rider seemed to use this lance to recover Sieg's vitality. Because of this, he chose to remain silent.

"Don't worry; it won't hurt." Arkhan smiled, thrusting Abyss Flower's tip into Sieg's shoulder.

The piercing sensation made Sieg's face contort slightly, but soon, accompanied by the faint glow of lily patterns on the lance, immensely pure life energy surged into his body.

After two or three minutes, Arkhan withdrew Abyss Flower.

"How do you feel now?"

Sieg clenched his fist, feeling unprecedented strength flowing through his body, his face revealing clear astonishment and joy.

"It's unbelievable. I've never felt so strong in my life!" Sieg excitedly bowed to Arkhan. "Thank you, Mr. Rider!"

"Is the effect really that good?" Gordes, with a hint of doubt, squeezed Sieg's shoulder, feeling the solid touch, his eyes showing some surprise.

"No need to thank me. I'm just doing someone a favor." Arkhan waved his hand. "Now your body is hardly different from a normal adult's. It should give you at least another fifteen years. If you want further improvement, go find the Einzbern family."

After all, Abyss Flower in his hands was just a Noble Phantasm, nowhere near the original's effect.

Improving Sieg's body to this extent was already quite good.
