Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Joining

Guild Building – Fairy Tail is close to a cliff that is directly connected to the lake. The backyard of the guild building was usually used by guild members to fight or test the skills they had just learned. All guild members are currently gathered in the guild's backyard. The purpose of their gathering was to watch Allen demonstrate his magical abilities.

"Hey, Macao. How about we make a bet?"

"Bet?"

"We guessed the magic used by that child. Whoever wins will take all the prizes for the missions we will carry out in the future. What do you think?"

"The entire mission reward? Just one mission and it's not sustainable?"

"Of course. What do you think?"

"Agreed!"

The two people who made the bet were Macao Conbolt and Wakaba Mine. They are members of the Guild – Fairy Tail. Macao is a man in his 20s. He has short purple hair that is shaped like a hedgehog. He also has a thin beard like Gildarts. Meanwhile, Wakaba is a man who is relatively the same age as Macao. He has light brown hair with a pompadour. He wore sunglasses complete with a cigarette.

The other guild members also did the same thing as Macao and Wakaba. They started betting together with their friends.

"You can start now, my son" Makarov said with a little anticipation.

"Hm,"

Allen nodded and walked towards the front. He stopped right at the edge of the cliff then looked ahead. The view in front of him is a very beautiful and calm lake. There were a large number of seagulls currently flying freely over the lake while keeping an eye out for prey they could catch.

"Lake, huh? How about just using the water ability?"

Instantly, the expressions of everyone present changed. The previously calm and cheerful face suddenly changed. Some wore stunned expressions, some wore expressions full of shock, and some wore expressions full of fear. This change in expression was caused by them feeling an extremely terrifying magic energy appearing near them.

"This child…"

The two figures who felt the impact of this terrifying magical energy were Makarov and Gildarts. Their previously calm expressions suddenly turned serious. The magic energy did not have a serious impact on them. However, for a child around five or six years old to be releasing magical energy as terrifying as they were feeling right now. It wasn't something they could find easily.

The magic energy released by Allen is not the entirety of the power he possesses. It could even be said that this was only one thousandth of the full power he possessed. As long as Allen releases all the magic energy he has. The resulting impact is that the whole world will experience a very powerful earthquake.

Allen pointed his hand towards the front and said in a low voice, "Water Ability – Water Dragon King!"

An enormous magic circle array instantly appeared above the lake. The magic circle has a bright blue color. Immediately after the appearance of the magic circle array, the previously calm lake suddenly became surging. The wave slowly started to get bigger until an animal appeared that looked like a snake. Even though the appearance of the animal is like a snake, the animal that appears is not a snake.

The animal that appears is a dragon from Chinese mythology. The moment the dragon appeared on the surface, it immediately released an extremely terrifying pressure.

"T-that…"

"C-creature…What creature is that?"

"W-what…Did that kid do it?!"

The pressure released by the water dragon was immediately felt by the wizards from the Guild - Fairy Tail. A feeling of immense fear began to envelop them. Some of them even immediately sat down on the ground when they saw the appearance of the dragon.

The greatest pressure was felt by Makarov and Gildarts. Their previously serious expressions immediately turned fearful. They really didn't expect that a five to six year old child could unleash such a terrifying ability.

The water dragon flew up into the sky slowly. He moved in a circular manner and precisely when his height reached 50 meters. The dragon stopped then its gaze immediately turned towards Allen and the others.

"Roar!"

An ear-piercing roar immediately came out from the dragon. The room was not only listened to by the wizards from the Guild – Fairy Tail. All residents in Magnolia City can hear the room released by the dragon. Even the appearance of the water dragon immediately filled the residents with deep fear.

"AH!"

"Th-that…What is that?!"

"M-monster…It's a monster!"

"Quickly run! Monsters will attack this city!"

"Quickly save yourself!"

"Bastard! Let me go! I don't want to die in this place!"

Riots begin to occur in Magnolia City. The residents who saw the appearance of the water dragon began to scatter to various places to save themselves.

"Enough! That's enough, Allen! You can take back this ability of yours!"

Makarov could feel the riots currently taking place in Magnolia City. Therefore, he immediately asked Allen to withdraw the ability he had released.

Actually, Makarov wasn't the only one who felt the chaos that was currently happening in Magnolia City. Allen could also clearly feel the unrest and he even indirectly apologized for the actions he was taking at this time.

Allen immediately waved his hand and immediately the large magic circle above the lake suddenly disappeared. The dragon that was formed from the lake water earlier also immediately disappeared. The disappearance of the dragon caused the lake water that had previously been lifted into the sky to immediately lose its shape and then fall freely into the lake.

"Rumble!"

A terrible roar was immediately heard as the lake water that formed the dragon returned to its original place. As a result of the fall of the lake water which previously rose into the sky, it caused a very strong wave of lake water to appear and will attack the cliff currently occupied by Allen and the others. As long as the wave manages to attack the cliff, it is certain that the cliff will immediately fall apart and will have an impact on the Guild - Fairy Tail building and the buildings around it.

"Gildarts!"

Makarov understood the impact this would have. Therefore, he immediately ordered Gildarts to make his move.

"No need" Allen's voice suddenly came back, "I'll take care of it"

Gildarts, who was previously about to make a sudden move, immediately gave up his plans when he heard Allen's voice. He discovered that a large brown magic circle suddenly appeared in front of the cliff.

"Earth Ability – Strongest Earth Wall Defense!"

Instantly, a wall appeared on the coast and immediately covered the entire land of Magnolia City. The wall is 25 meters high and 10 meters wide.

"Rumble!"

A very strong water wave immediately hit the stone wall. Even though the attack power of the water wave seemed very deadly before. The stone wall created by Allen succeeded in blocking the very strong water waves.

The Fairy Tail wizards who saw this were completely stunned. A smirk appeared on Gildarts' face. He then looked at Makarov who was right beside him, "It seems like a monster has just joined our guild."

"Yes,"

An enthusiastic smile also appeared on Makarov's face. He was really excited at the thought of Allen joining their guild.

"By the way, Master. It seems we need to move quickly to calm the unrest that is currently occurring due to the release of this capability."

"Huh"

Makarov's feeling of joy suddenly disappeared. He then waved his hand then said, "That is an easy matter. As long as it doesn't cause property damage or things that need repair. We just need to make fake news or stories about the appearance of these creatures."

Allen immediately withdrew his earth element ability. The earth wall that had previously appeared to withstand the extremely powerful water waves suddenly disappeared as if it had never appeared in that place. He then turned to look at Makarov and the others. Allen slowly walked towards Makarov and Gildarts then stopped just a few meters from them.

"Master, what now? Can I join this guild?"

*******

Guild – Fairy Tail.

Even though the wizards in the Guild - Fairy Tail have just experienced terrible pressure from Allen and the abilities released by him. Such things had no effect on them at the moment because they knew the person who released the ability would join the same guild as them. Compared to fear, currently every wizard who joined the Guild – Fairy Tail was filled with excitement.

"I am Enno Brich. You can call me Enno. Pleased to meet you"

"Nice to meet you, Enno. I'm Allen. You can just call Allen."

Allen is currently with a woman who has a mature appearance. The woman was wearing fairly revealing clothes. She wore a bikini top followed by a short skirt. The woman has exotic brown skin and short dark purple hair that reaches her shoulders.

"Just Allen? Your surname?"

"I don't have one" Allen shook his head, "The person who adopted me only gave me this name before. He also doesn't have a surname...Hmm, well, maybe where I come from, surnames aren't that important."

"I see" Enno nodded hearing this even though there was visible sadness appearing in his eyes. He had his own thoughts regarding Allen's background, "Where do you want your guild mark to be marked and what color do you want to use?"

Allen opened the robe he was currently wearing. He then lifted the sleeve of his clothes until it showed the top of his arm.

"You can mark it here, white with a purple frame"

Enno smiled and immediately set the color of the guild symbol according to Allen's request. After successfully setting it up, she then began to mark the guild mark directly in the position appointed by Allen previously.

"It's finished. From now on, you are officially a member of the Guild – Fairy Tail. If you need help, you can come directly to me. I will definitely help as long as it is within the scope of my abilities."

"Thank you very much"

"Allen"

"Hm?"

Allen, who heard his name called, immediately turned towards the voice. He found out the person who called him was Makarov. Right beside Makarov at this time, there were two people there. The first person was Gildarts while the second person was a boy who was slightly older than him. He has yellow hair and wheat-colored skin. Allen saw the child's gaze showing admiration.

"I'll stay first. Looks like Master wants to talk to me."

"Hm,"

Allen walked towards Makarov calmly.

"You really surprised me, Allen" Gildarts immediately started the conversation between them excitedly, "Gildarts Clive. You can call me, Gildarts. First of all, I apologize for not having time to introduce myself to you."

"It doesn't matter. Now we know each other and hopefully we can get along well in the future."

"Hahaha~ Sure"

"Allen"

Makarov's call immediately attracted Allen's attention. Makarov smiled then said, "Meet my grandson. His name is Laxus Dreyar. He is also a member of the guild."

"Hey! How can you be this strong?"

Laxus immediately asked excitedly after Makarov introduced himself. His gaze showed great curiosity.

"I'm also quite interested in how you can be this strong" Gidarts suddenly spoke up in a tone full of interest, "Rare---No" Gildarts shook his head then corrected the sentence he said previously, "It should be impossible for a child your age to have such great strength." this kind of scary ."

"I think I need to correct your words a little, Gildarts," Makarov immediately entered the conversation, "It's not impossible for a child to have very abundant magical energy compared to the magical energy you have, Allen. It is impossible to find a similar case. There are many cases where a child is born with higher magical energy than other children his age. It's just that it's not good things that the child receives, but bad things that he receives, such as a weak body, frequent illnesses, and it's even possible that the child will die."

The conversation between the four of them immediately attracted the attention of the people in the guild.

"One example is Laxus," Makarov added, "Laxus was born with very abundant magical energy. Therefore, since childhood. He had a very weak body and was often sick. However, the problems he experienced have been completely resolved."

"Are you also experiencing problems like that?"

"No," Allen shook his head.

"No?"

Makarov, Gildarts, and the others were immediately stunned to hear this rejection.

"I was indeed born with very abundant strength; taller than kids my age. I was even blessed with a very high talent for magic compared to other people."

Makarov and the others couldn't deny Allen's words. They have seen his talent and potential. At such a young age like now, he was able to unleash magical abilities that should only be able to be unleashed by S-level pre-magicians.

"However, before I awaken my power. I have already trained my physical strength first."

"Training physical strength?"

"Yes," Allen nodded, "Since childhood, I have always exercised to become strong. Since birth, I have developed wisdom that could perhaps be said to be superior to the wisdom possessed by adults. Therefore, ever since I saw someone who could release an ability. I believe this world is not a safe world for someone without powers to live in. Since finding out about this, I started exercising to increase my strength. I'm not too sure myself, however, it seems that not only do I have an aptitude for magic energy, I also have an excellent aptitude for physical skills. In just a few hours of exercise, my physical strength has exceeded the physical strength that adults usually have. After knowing that, I started training to be able to use magic power."

"Since when have you been training then how old are you now?"

"I'm only seven years old now," Allen replied to Laxus' question, "I started training when I was four years old."

"Training at the age of four then it only took you three years to reach this terrifying strength?" Gildarts asked with a face that was truly hard to believe, "How did you do it? I mean, how did you manage to develop your magical energy to such terrifying levels?"

Gildarts is one of the strongest wizards in the Guild – Fairy Tail. Even his current strength was equivalent to that of a Divine Mage. With such terrifying power; he has very abundant magic energy, even in some cases, the amount of magic energy he has is higher than Makarov's magic energy.

"Do you know about the theory of habituation and repetition?"

"The theory of habituation and repetition?" Gildarts frowned.

"This theory states that every person who does something repeatedly, that person will become proficient at doing that thing and can even develop something he does to a higher level," Allen explained slowly, "This theory is applied in training that done by me"

Allen took a breath then exhaled, he then explained, "Every person who has the qualifications to become a magician has a vessel within their body. This container functions to accommodate the magic energy absorbed by the magician's body. The larger the container a magician has, the more magic energy can be stored. The container is something very important because one of the factors that determines the strength of a wizard is the amount of magical energy the wizard possesses. The more magical energy a wizard has, the more qualified the wizard will be to release abilities with strong destructive power."

Silence was currently falling within the guild. Everyone listened carefully to the explanation given by Allen. Some of them have even taken out stationery and paper to record the knowledge that Allen is currently imparting.

"Training by applying the theory of habituation and repetition is very effective in increasing the size of the container that can hold one's magical energy. It is the same as physical exercise carried out by someone. Someone goes for a training run on the first day. On that first day, the person could only cover a distance of two kilometers because of his stamina. He then continued again on the second day. The second day there was an improvement, although only small. On the second day, the person could reach a distance of two kilometers or less than one hundred meters. On the third day, the person improved. Well, this is called the theory of habituation and repetition. As long as someone does this activity repeatedly, that person will get used to it and will even develop something they do to a higher level."

"…Training to increase magic energy using the theory of habituation and repetition is very easy. One only needs to drain all the magic energy within oneself. Then, let the container refill with new magic energy. Do something like that repeatedly, even if possible, do it three times every day. Within a period of one month, it is not impossible that the amount of magic energy you have will increase several times compared to what you have now. Of course, this increase only applies to magicians with relatively low amounts of magical energy. Meanwhile for magicians with a lot of magic energy like Gildarts and also Sir"

Allen looked at the two, "It's difficult to be able to increase the amount of your magic energy by several times. The two of you have already very abundant magic energy; even if you practice using this kind of training. The effect you get is less than that of magicians with a small amount of magic energy. However, this kind of training is more effective than the training you usually do. Hm, but, well, I also can't say this training is the best training. Maybe there is still a better type of training than the training I did. It's just that I said this training was the best because it was most suitable for me. I also always use this exercise to increase my strength."
