Chapter 3: It's My Room
Olivia's POV
After signing the document, Bruno immediately took it from me before handing it to one of the guards "Get this signed in court." he said and the guard nodded before leaving.
"Olivia, what have you done?" Caleb asked angrily as he succeeded in pushing the guards holding him.
I was in a state of shock still not understanding what was going on, I was happy to get married to Caleb and now I am married to Mr. Bennett. Or better still, sold to him because he only used me to clear my dad's debt.
"Why did you have to sign it?" Caleb scolded angrily as he took out the wedding rings from his suit and shot at me. "You hurt me, Olivia, you hurt me badly" he added before leaving.
"Caleb!!" I yelled out but he didn't stop.
"Let him leave, what type of man won't understand the situation you are in." Natalie sneered angrily before helping me up. My dad walked towards me and in a swift moment, he fell on his feet.
"Don't hate me, please…I had to take a debt to pay for your bills after the accident and also to save my company from bankruptcy," he said and I felt guilty. I had no idea my dad took a debt to cure me, if I had known then I would have worked double jobs to repay the favor.
But it seemed I had to repay with my future, I crouched down and hugged my father "You don't have to apologize, you did what you thought was right." I said when Bruno walked towards me.
"I am sorry Mrs. Bennett, but we need to leave now," he said and I glared at him angrily which made him take a few steps backward.
"Why should I come with you?" I asked angrily, did they expect to take me to my husband's home? What type of monster was Alexander Bennett, how could he treat a woman's feelings this way?
"I have other affairs to handle, if you don't mind can we leave now," Bruno said with a respectful tone after he received a message notification.
"Olivia." Natalie rushed and hugged me tightly.
"Alex isn't a bad person, you will be fine." Mother assured me and I sneered. He wasn't a bad person? He was a monster and I will make him regret this marriage and wish for a divorce.
Without shedding any more tears, I faced Natalie and with folded arms I asked "Please take care of my parents, I will come to visit them"
Natalie nodded, I knew she was going to do that without me asking, with heavy footsteps I walked out of the court with Bruno and the guards following me.
He opened the door for me as I got in, the car drove out and exhaustion weighed on me. The events of today were something I would have never imagined not even in my fantasy world.
It was an hour's drive, I got sad when I noticed the place was too far from my parent's place but no matter what I would go back and visit them every time.
The car drove into a huge gate, the place was quiet and there was a huge fountain surrounded by a garden. It looked welcoming and I couldn't believe that monster owned this place.
"Please come down." I woke up from my thoughts and stared outside only to find Bruno staring at me, he had opened the door and was expecting me to walk down but I was lost in my thoughts.
I walked down and followed him in, we got to the sitting room which was big and well-decorated. The curtains were gold and that gave the warmth of a home while there was a huge chandelier hung above us.
"Mrs. Bennett…"
"Olivia." I corrected Bruno angrily, I didn't like him calling me that when he knew clearly that this was a forced marriage.
"I will have to leave now, you can find your way around…" he said with an urgent tone then walked out.
I sneered and looked upstairs, I was curious about the decorations upstairs so slowly walked upstairs and that's when I realized I didn't come here with my suitcase. Now I had an opportunity to go back home and probably escape this city with my family.
There were two doors upstairs, one must be the master bedroom and the other the guest bedroom. I contemplated which was the guest bedroom because I wanted to stay there instead. There is no way I will be sharing a room with that monster.
From a clear view, I could notice that one had a bigger door so it must be the master bedroom. My instinct kicked in and I decided to follow it, I quickly walked to the guest bedroom and pushed the door open.
Maybe I could hide here for a while "God, what did I do to offend you?" I couldn't help but ask. Why did my happy marriage have to turn into a forced one?
Then I felt someone's gaze on me, I quickly turned to find Mr. Bennett who recently walked out of the bathroom, and his body was covered with a bathrobe but his muscled chest was perfectly displayed and his hair was wet as well.
"Ahhh." I screamed and looked away "Why are you here?" I asked confused, why did I have to bumble into such a scene on my first day?
"It's my room," he replied and I was confused, did my instincts lead me to the wrong room? So the other room was the guest room, but why was the door bigger?
"I…I will leave." I said and hurried to the door and tried opening the door but it was locked. How did the door suddenly lock? It was open a while ago.
I needed to leave this room so I kept pulling the door to no avail, Mr. Bennett kept walking closer to me and my heartbeat increased.
I took steps backwards as he kept approaching me, and then my back hit the wall signaling that there was no escape route.
His eyes were so focused on me that I felt like he was undressing me with his eyes "What…what do you want?" I stuttered when I suddenly heard a clicking sound. I stared at the door and noticed that he had opened the door while his gaze was focused on me.
Without wasting time, I quickly ran out of the room.
