Chapter 2: Unorthodox Group Chat, Part 1
Author's Note: This work has received major editing(compared to the other work) and has been reposted, do note that the original work is also mine though(Limitless Chat Group in the multiverse). Starting from chapter 7, it's all completely new content. I also figured out that, instead of posting every day and burning myself out juggling between writing and the rest of my life, I could get a release schedule... so here it is:

Cillian, who was currently laying down in a lush grass field, had a blue panel suddenly appear before him.

The moment Cillian saw this, he wanted to immediately find out if this "system" was sentient or not by asking a bunch of random questions.
'How old are you system?Do you have a name? Who is your creator? Can you perceive the outside world?Can you only answer yes or no ques-'

The moment this screen appeared, Cillian felt a searing and excruciating pain from within himself beyond anything he had ever felt, the process for fusion between the body, soul and mind had taken a great toll on Cillian, only after half an hour did it finally reduce to bearable pain levels.
Cillian recalled during, that timeframe, that, since the pain was so great he had mistaken all kinds of pain as one but, thinking about it carefully, Cillian felt two distinct kinds of pain, he believed that one kind of pain was from the fusion, and the other, was from his soul bonding with the group chat.

Cillian, relieved that the pain had finally stopped, looked more in depth to his gifts, he assumed that these were the gifts that that God was talking about, but he had no idea who or what was the primordial only that, to be mentioned, on what seemed like the same level as the God he met, this primordial had to be a higher tier existence as well.
'Sage, can you hear me?'
A robotic and mechanical voice answered 'yes master.'
Thankful that he already had someone with him during this eternal odyssey Cillian added on 'Good, don't call me master though, that sounds way too entitled, at least call me sir'
'...'
'Sage?'
'yes master.'
'Why didn't you answer Sage?' Cillian asked bewilderedly
'Answer: My functions are only permitted to operate when master calls the name "Sage".'
Cillian unknowingly nodded his head and continued 'Can you change this condition Sage?'
The mechanical voice once again stated: 'Answer: Negative, this is an innate operation of the "Extra Skill: Sage".'
Wanting to know more about his skill, Cillian pondered: 'Sage, what can you do?'
'Answer: "Extra Skill: Sage" has the following subskills:
-thought acceleration
-analytical appraisal
-parallel operations'
Remembering this skill from a certain blue slime. Cillian was sure that it had enormous potential and upside, he also recalled that this was the most basic form of the skill and that it could only operate when given input thus, Cillian asked: 'Sage, how can you evolve? do you have any suggestions?'
'Answer: Evolution of the extra skill: "Sage" into unique skill "Great Sage" has the following requirements:
1. A soul strong enough to house a unique skill
2. Abundant energy required for the evolution
3. Sufficient mastery of "Extra Skill: Sage".'
'Suggestion: Fusion between "Extra Skill: Sage" and foreign entity denominated "Multiversal Group Chat" has a 100% chance of increasing "Extra Skill: Sage"'s prowess.'
Cillian pondered about which route he would take, if he tried to evolve the Sage, he was almost sure it would take longer specially due to the "strong soul" requirement. From what Cillian knew about the Danmachi mortal realm, there were no ways to directly improve his soul, on the other hand, the final product "Unique Skill: Great Sage" was something he had plenty of knowledge about, and its prowess was already confirmed the numerous times it saved its master.
Meanwhile, the fusion between Sage and the group chat would automatically cause Sage to have an increase in its abilities, apart from that, all other consequences would be unforeseen. Cillian didn't know if what would happen with the group chat, would be positive, or if the future potential of either the group chat or Sage would be depleted during their fusion.
Reasoning that having more knowledge about the group chat would be vital for this decision, Cillian thought about it, and its basic interface instantly appeared.

PS. most of his future powers will revolve around the first ones he gets. I think it's such a waste when authors simply give up on newbie powers instead of having them evolve with the MC.
