Chapter 6: Transmigrated Into Beasts World

The big black snake was stunned at the unexpected sight of the female fainting in front of him. "Hissss."

Although he had expected a reaction, fainting after seeing him was not among them. He didn't know how to proceed. He only wanted to observe her, but it did not expect the branch to break and fall off, causing her to witness his embarrassed moment.

"Hissss!" His golden pupils watched the unconscious woman with uncertainty, contemplating what to do. He narrowed his eyes, this was a wonderful opportunity for him to take her away to his cave.

The huge snake suddenly transformed its appearance into a strong male, revealing that he was actually a shapeshifter disguised as a snake all along!

The man carried the unconscious female on his shoulder and her things back to his home. He was afraid the female would cry if she didn't find her things when she woke up.

When he held the unconscious female, he frowned. She was unexpectedly easy to carry and small in stature. Weak, he thought to himself. He decided to fatten her up by feeding her with lots of meat.

He walked through the woods, crossing a pine forest, a bridge and two rivers. Even with an extra baggage on him, he wasn't tired. His breath didn't even change after walking for so long.

With his speed, he was able to reach his cave before the suns sets. The cave was situated behind a large waterfall, where the constant noise of the water filled the air with a deafening roar.

The cave was damp and cold, with many miscellaneous objects scattered around indiscriminately, demonstrating a severe lack of organization.

The man, who was clearly not a good housekeeper, appeared to simply store his possessions and belongings around without any regard to cleanliness or tidiness.

Worried that the female would feel uncomfortable from the cold and dampness of his cave, the man laid her down on an animal skin to provide her with some soft and warm bedding.

He also covered her with an animal skin in order to provide her with extra protection. He lit a small fire beside her, afraid that she would get cold. He suddenly recalled that the female liked to eat meat, so he went out to hunt.

After an hour of his absence, the female in his cave woke up with a start. "Ahh!"

Daisy thought she would be in the belly of the snake, but she found herself in a strange place, again.

She looked at the animal bedsheet, glanced around and realized that she was in a cave with a small fire burning in the center. She was bewildered. Did someone save her?

She couldn't comprehend how a gigantic snake such as that could be defeated. Her saviour might have carried her and ran away from the snake, rather than defeating it.

A series of footsteps interrupted her thoughts. She suddenly saw a large figure entering the cave. Scared and wary, she slowly crawled backwards, until her back reached the damp walls of the cave.

"Hello, Are you the one who saved me?" She cautiously asked the moving figure. She saw the large figure pause before she heard a hoarse voice, "yes."

Daisy realized that the figure could talk. This realization made her ecstatic, she immediately shifted from fear and wariness to relief and happiness.

"Thank you, sir! Do you know where we are? Is this your house? Can I know your good name? Are there others like us?! Is this a village?" She bombarded the man with question after questions.

She was so happy to see an inhabitant of this strange world that she started to relax and let her guard down.

The man opposite of her was stunned by the series of questions. He felt guilty, he might have scared the female so much that she had forgotten her memory.

He put down the dead prey that he was carrying and threw pieces of wood onto the fire, which has almost gone out. With the fire burning with renewed energy, it brightly illuminated the dark cave.

Daisy was able to see the vague figure more clearly now. Her eyes widened like saucers, shock evident on her face.

The man crouching nearby the fire had short black hair that resembled the night sky, golden pupils that shimmered like gold. His pale and smooth skin could rival hers, he had full red lips and sharp eyebrows that gave him a permanent mean expression.

What especially frightened her was the devil like horns on his head, giving him a sinister yet other worldly appearance.

She could almost sense the overwhelming aura of danger and aggression from him. She panicked. Was she in hell by chance?!

She saw the devil approaching her, frightening the weak soul out of the body. "You- you...am I dead?" Tears pooled in her eyes, so the snake had eaten her!

The devil was taken aback. She saw his beautiful lips move, and a mesmerising voice came out. "Don't be afraid, female. You are safe here with me. I apologize for my actions earlier, I didn't mean to scare you."

Confused and dizzy with fear, she instinctively questioned, "what do you mean?" She saw the man pause and reply with a cold yet blushing face, "I only wanted to observe you, I didn't expect the branches to break and fall. Sorry for scaring you."

Daisy was still confused. Observe her? Tree branch? He fell?

Her teary eyes widened as if she realized a horrifying yet shocking thing. "ARE YOU THAT SNAKE?!!" She forgot to control her voice.

The man was startled by her cry. He nodded with confusion plastered on his face, "yes." He continued with a soft tone, "you can call me Leif. I wonder what tribe are you from. Are you...perhaps from the peacock tribe?"

He was hesitant. From his observation, the female clearly loved to be clean and neat like those people in peacock tribe. However, she also ate meat unlike them, this confused him.

Daisy's thoughts were messy. As a modern woman who occasionally liked to read books and escape her boring world, she was not new to his shocking revelation.

Did she transmigrate into the legendary beast World like those novels she read!??
