Chapter 11: Chapter 10 - 80% Completed
On his way back home, Daron remembered the notification of a quest being updated and went to look.

Daron's eyes lit up as he saw how far the 'Get Stronger' quest had progressed. With six stats that could be increased, Daron determined that creating his own technique would also be a ten percent increase, meaning he had to figure out the remaining thirty percent of the quest. For now, he would just move forward with what he had been doing.
He practiced both his techniques on his way home, and the system was right, it was much easier to use them both with less focus now than before. Continuing to practice as he entered the house, he decided to make something to eat as he did. Pulling out some bread, he made a sandwich and entered the living room, turning on the TV.
As he looked at the news, he saw that a new powerful ability domain had been found by an unknown archeologist. It was reported that it had the power to bend space, but not only that, it could be applied to objects as well. The archeologist had already started selling bags with a bigger space inside than should've been normally possible before the news had gotten out of his ability domain. He was quickly given larger business opportunities by various powers, and he eventually went with a governmental power as he wanted his products to be able to get to as many people as possible, cutting a name for himself in history.
After the report was over, Daron had gotten a notification.

As it had only been around thirty minutes of practice, Daron was happy with the appearance of the notification. If he kept up the practice, he should be able to get the Life-Saving Energy Focus technique to level four in a few hours. With that in mind, he decided to focus all his attention on his practice, turning off the TV and closing his eyes.
As time went on, he knew that a few notifications had appeared, but he continued and only stopped after the fourth notification had appeared. Only three hours had gone by as he opened his eyes and read the information.

With the update confirming what needed to be done next, Daron looked at the experience for Expand/Retract Progression. He saw that it was at one-thousand two-hundred twenty out of sixteen-hundred experience. First, Daron would need to confirm if the experience gained changed with the level up in Life-Saving Energy Focus.
With it only being around one in the afternoon, Daron knew he could get the level up today regardless of whether the experience gain changed. At least, if it wasn't a massive shift. Closing his eyes again, he found that more healing energy was felt in his body. He didn't know if it was the level-up, his practice of both techniques, or a combination. But this was a good thing, as it meant more progress was achieved in another quest as well.
As just under an hour passed, a notification appeared.

This was good news to Daron, as it meant in just a few hours he could progress the technique to the next level, which is exactly what he did. After four hours, he opened his eyes to the notifications.

The biggest increase was his energy, which he could pinpoint to his level up in Expand/Retract Progression, the technique was used to increase one's energy, after all. Going to his quests, he wanted to see how the Life-Saving Energy Focus quest was going.

Looking at it, he knew he wouldn't complete it before the competition, but he was sure he would before it ever got to the point of three months.
Standing up, Daron stretched as he picked up the technique booklet Mr. Gail had given him and went to his room. With a few hours left before night would arrive, he would use that time to read up on the technique a bit. If he could learn it before the competition, it would give him a much higher chance to win with the way Mr. Gail had described it.
Laying down on his head, he turned on a lamp and looked at the title of the booklet.
"Aspect Combination and Supplementation".
Under it, it had the author of the technique, or rather, two authors.
"By Aaron Nilan and Orion Gail".
