Chapter 18: 17] New Students!
(3rd PoV, Vigilant's Hideout)
Hikari is seen running through a crowd of people, blasting through with ease. Shiro is following lazily behind her, trying to hold back a yawn.
Vigilant 1- "Die!"
A random person jumps toward the shadow-clad villain, only to be turned to ash in a tenth of a second. Shiro currently known as Ifrit turns to Hikari, who is also known as Mimic.
Ifrit- "God this is boring, at least you're having fun..." She looks to him with a questioning expression on her face.
"I can't even see your face, yet I know what it looks like... You are laughing as you slaughter these... Pests." She seems even more confused.
Mimic- "Huh? Oh, I didn't even realize. Maybe Shin is starting to rub off on me..." She giggles a little before sighing.
"If only he would..."
Ifrit- "O-kay, not delving into that Ms. Alabama."
Mimic- "What's Alabama?"
Ifrit- "According to shin, it's a place where 'Incest is Wincest.'"
They slow down to a walk as they approach a door, no longer having to deal with the Vigilants as all of the ones in the room are dead.
Mimic- "It's not Incest..." She scoffs.
"We aren't even actually related, it's all for legal purposes."
As these two are arguing over whether Hikari and Shin dating is wrong or not, let's go see what Shin is up to.
Hollow- "This is going to hurt." Dressed completely in shadows, he reaches toward the battered person and rips off his arm from the elbow. The person screams at the top of his lungs, but everyone else who could have possibly heard is in bits and pieces on the ground.
Vigilant 2- "I'LL TELL YOU!" Shin pauses for a moment, before a glowing white crescent moon appears in the space where his mouth should be.
Hollow- "Nah, You lost your chance. If you can tell me all about it before I can tear off all your limbs, I may let you survive."
...
Let's actually skip forward a month, Horizon Academy is starting back up. Shin and Hikari walk through the gates of the school, happily chatting with one another.
They walk into the building before separating, as she needs to go fill out some things before she can actually come to class.
(Shin PoV, Horizon Academy Hall D-1)
I walk to the door of my classroom, opening the door with an impressive lack of energy. I see Atlas, and he waves at me.
Shin- "Wow, how do you remain so... Excited, even though school has started back up." He sighs and puts his hand on his cheek.
Atlas- "Bruh, this isn't a normal school, remember? Of course I'm excited, I get to train and spar here. Most importantly, I get to see all of my friends again!"
I chuckle a little bit before I sit down in my seat. Once I'm settled in, I take a look around the room. There's nothing out of the ordinary, just a few new seats...
Wait! Why is there two new spots? Is someone other than Hikari joining the school? That shouldn't happen. I don't remember someone new joining the school is my presence already shifting something within the book?
Eventually the class all shuffles in, leaving only two seats empty. The whole class is talking quietly about who they think the new students are when the teacher walks in.
Teacher- "Alright, calm down. I'm sure you noticed the new seats, but we'll get into that after attendance."

After attendance, the teacher walks over to the door.
"Alright, come in guys." Hikari and-
'Goku Black!?'
"Introduce yourselves, don't be shy." Hikari being the first in line speaks up first.
Hikari- "My name is Hikari Nai Vide, treat me well or my brother may cause harm." I facepalm, and the class looks at me. A slight glare without any intent is sent back, they refocus on the front of the class.
???- "My name is Ray Black. I don't have any siblings to beat you up if you're mean to me, so I guess I'll have to step up and do it myself." He smirks, and the class chortles softly.
Hikari strides up to the empty seat behind me and promptly sits down. Ray follows, but he sits in the desk next to her.
Hikari- "I'm so glad that I can sit next to you!" I smile gently, before retorting.
Shin- "Yeah, at least now it won't look suspicious when you stare at me." This causes her face to turn a bright shade of pink.
Hikari- "You noticed?" I blink in realization.
Shin- "Noticed what? I was making a joke... I didn't think you'd actually do that." My face is slightly red as well, but it fades as I gain control of my emotions again.
Hikari- "Oh... Let's just not talk about this anymore." I nod, and look back to 'Ray' Black.

He notices my gaze, and waves his hand politely. I activate Aura Manipulation to see what his Aura looks like, and I'm shocked at what I see.
It looks the same as mine, and Hikari seems to have noticed as well so she leans in close to my ear and whispers.
Hikari- "He has the same Aura as you! What does that mean?" I wince slightly.
Shin- "He's a Void type..."

A few hours pass, and we have to use our Flair to damage a test dummy. It reads the amount of damage done and gives a number based on that reading.
What did I say my ability was again? I can't remember because of the amount of time I spent away from these fools. What can I use, let's see...

Let's go with wind, that seems fun. I hold up my hand in the direction of the dummy, and smirk as I use this power. I have to make sure I don't do too much and gather attention.
*BOOM!*
An explosion occurs to my right, and I see the Goku Black lookalike with a massive sword. At the tip of that sword leads a path of destruction reaching the dummy that seems to have broken.
Ray- "Oops! My bad, I've never used that before..." This is the perfect time for me to look around and see the average of the others.
Most unimportant students have a score ranging from 50 to 200, the lowest being a 5... Scored by Hikari... I guess I'll have to see what happened there.
I see Atlas's score being 756, and figure I should go to about 150-200~ish. So I point my finger like a gun and fire an air bullet, hitting the dummy right in the forehead.
Shin- "Dang! I can't believe this, 254? I guess I underestimated myself."
Luckily for me, Ray seems to have taken most of the attention away from over here. Speaking of Ray, doesn't his sword look a little like Zangetsu in it's sealed state?
(Ray Pov, Horizon Academy Training Room A)
I know I tried to get first place, but won't this get counted against me? Crap! I may have actually failed this mission because I'm too powerful!
Ray- "Oops! My bad, I've never used that before..." Who knew that a Getsuga Tenshou would be too powerful, even without any transformations... Guess that's a 6 star character for you.
I quickly make my Zanpakuto disappear and start apologizing before something happens that makes me happy.

I'll open up the ticket when I'm alone, can't get too excited or I'll seem weird.
Atlas- "Whoa! You're strong! Let's spar sometime." The red haired kid runs up to me speaking in an extremely excited tone.
Ray- "Sure, maybe later." I look towards the black haired boy who was looking at me earlier. His machine reads a 254, but he doesn't seem too excited about it. I ask the red head who he is.
Atlas- "Oh, Shin? He's one of my best friends. Don't let his cold exterior fool you, he's pretty nice once you get to know him."
Ray- "Really?"
Atlas- "Yeah, he came to check on Aiya when her brother was injured. He was even willing to sacrifice himself to hold a villain back when the school got attacked." He gently rubs the back of his head.
"Luckily, Hyper Human arrived in time to take care of it. So nobody was really injured."
Ray- "Sounds like he's a pretty good guy then." He smiles.
Atlas- "Yeah! I think so, at least."

Aura_Of_Despair Ray's Flair is a system, and he can use tickets he gets from completing missions to summon items, or abilities from fictional characters.
The reason he looks like Goku Black is because his first free talent ended up being Goku Black's, so he gets his Zenkai and growth ability. When he transforms, if he gets a god form, he goes rosè instead of blue.
