...

Dratini leaped toward the lake, desperate to find Horsea this time. Horsea was relaxing, lying down in the lake. She noticed Dratini coming again and was prepared to defeat her little brother, confident that he couldn't do anything to her as long as she was in the lake.

However, she hadn't anticipated Dratini jumping into the water. Horsea panicked at his action, but it was too late; Dratini had already spotted her. Dratini was trying to hold his breath as he searched for Horsea, and there, he found her and rushed towards her.

Horsea, now in a state of panic, immediately used a Smokescreen and then swam away. Dratini, undeterred by the Smokescreen, continued to chase her and soon found her again attempting to escape.

Dratini was chasing her desperately, aware that he had limited time before he couldn't hold his breath any longer and needed to hurry. Horsea, on the other hand, didn't dare to look back, fearing that if she stopped or used a move, Dratini would catch up to her. She just kept swimming towards the shore of the lake.

But even though she had the advantage in water, Dratini was boosted by Dragon Dance. How could Horsea easily outrun him? In just a few seconds, Dratini had already caught up to her.

Horsea was terrified to see Dratini catching up to her. She wanted to hide, but Dratini's Extreme Speed had already hit her. Horsea screamed in pain; Dratini's move, enhanced by Dragon Dance, caused her intense pain, yet she remained conscious.

She suddenly remembered what Floyd said about typings and moves and realized that most of Floyd's Pokémon were Dragon Type, and she, unfortunately, was only a Water type. She also recalled that Dragon moves could counter their own Dragon counterparts.

Then she remembered that she knew a Dragon Move, and her eyes lit up. Although she was mostly interested in food, she still casually listened to some of what Floyd said every time he made their pokeblocks.

However, it seemed it was too late for Horsea to act, as Dratini had already used Extreme Speed. Fortunately, Horsea managed to evade it this time and seized the opportunity to unleash a Twister at Dratini. Dratini, who saw that she was about to use Twister, reacted with his own. Although he was a bit late, he was still empowered by Dragon Dance, and when it came to mastering Twister, Dratini was more skilled than Horsea. They both managed to release their Twisters at the same time.

Bang!

The moves collided, proving to be equally matched. But Horsea, seeing Dratini preparing to use his Extreme Speed again, was desperate. Feeling helpless, she gambled by emitting dragon energy from her mouth. When Dratini hit her with Extreme Speed, Horsea was on the verge of collapsing in pain but forced herself to stay conscious, releasing the Dragon Breath move just before losing consciousness.

Dratini, already exhausted from the fight with Horsea and being under the lake, saw the Dragon Breath coming too late to dodge. He was struck by it, feeling intense pain, especially from the Dragon move that suppressed his own Dragon attribute. He, too, lost consciousness.

[Ding! Congratulations on defeating Horsea. +20 points]

[Ding! Congratulations on defeating Dratini. +20 points]

Looking at his points, which had now reached over 14,000, Floyd sighed in relief, noting the significant increase. The only issue he faced was Fraxure's food intake, which required a lot of points in the simulation, while the rest of his Pokémon were the result of his hard work.

Not dwelling on this, Floyd, upon seeing the prompt and knowing that Horsea and Dratini had lost consciousness, removed his clothes and dived into the lake.

A few moments later, he emerged with both Pokémon. He pressed on Dratini's body to expel the water he had swallowed. Shortly after, Dratini spat out the water from his mouth; he was awake but weak.

"Ehew?" (Did I lose?)

"You both lost. It's a tie," Floyd said.

Dratini lowered his head, disappointed by the outcome.

"What the hell are you disappointed about? You've already managed to catch up with your elder brothers and sister; this is worth celebrating," Floyd reassured him.

"Ehew?" (Then, I'm good?)

Dratini asked happily.

"Yes, you're good, but still immature. You need more training; you made a lot of mistakes here. Firstly, when Horsea dove into the lake, why didn't you use Thunder Wave? Haven't I told all of you how the elements' typings suppress other elements? Electric suppresses Water. How many times have I told you that?" Floyd explained.

"Second, why were you just standing near the lake? Do you really want to be a free target? At least you should move to confuse her," he continued.

"Third, it's good you managed to step back from the lake, but you only realized it too late when you were almost exhausted," Floyd added.

"Fourth…"

Floyd went on to explain all the flaws in Dratini's fight, and the latter listened carefully. Hearing his many flaws from the battle made Dratini feel a bit disappointed in himself, realizing there was no room for complacency as there were many stronger Pokémon out there.

"And lastly, I saw you crying, hahaha, you're really cute," Floyd suddenly smiled and said. Dratini, expecting criticism, was dumbfounded by Floyd's words.

What did Floyd say? He saw him crying?

"E-h-e-w" (I. did. not.)

"Well, you don't need to feel ashamed. Did you know your elder brother Fraxure, when he was Axew, also cried when I took care of him and the first time he tasted a delicious pokeblock? Similar to your elder brother Munchlax, who also cried eating a lot of it; your elder sister Horsea, who cried during training; your elder brother Growlithe, who cried every time he saw humans; and your elder brothers and sisters Goomy, who cried thinking they would be separated from each other," Floyd revealed each of his Pokémon's vulnerable moments to reassure Dratini.

Floyd's other Pokémon, upon hearing this, became embarrassed, with even Fraxure looking away in shame.

"Goo~" (Yeah, little brother, there's no need to be embarrassed about crying, it's completely normal.) The leader Goomy felt it was important to share this moment of vulnerability with his little brother, Dratini, ensuring everyone was included in the experience.

"Goo~"

"Goo~"

"Awr~"

"Fraxure,"

The other Pokémon chimed in, essentially saying, 'We saw you crying, but there's no need to be ashamed of it, it's normal.'

So, all of them had seen it, Dratini realized, and he seemed to lose his spirit, not moving, becoming like a statue. This was the first time he felt he wanted to disappear, overwhelmed by the situation.

"Horsea~" Horsea also began to open her eyes.

"You're awake. Come eat to help you recover; you too, Dratini," Floyd said, noticing Horsea awake and inviting her and Dratini to eat.

"Horsea~" Horsea happily rushed over to eat her favorite food.

"ROAR~" Gyarados also arrived and started roaming near them again, but Floyd and the other Pokémon just ignored him.

Dratini, on the other hand, still stood motionless, like a statue.

"Fraxure, Growlithe, and the Goomys, it's your turn to fight later. We will battle the wild Pokémon from the Safe Zone, then go to Chansey after that," Floyd explained their next course of action.
