Chapter 40: Chapter 40: The first follower
In front of Odrick's House stood Odrick and the other Fish-men with disappointed expressions on their faces, after wandering around the island for several hours they did not find any trace of Arthur.
This is the reason why the four Fish-men are very disappointed because they will not be able to take revenge on the person who abused them, and the reason for Odrick's disappointment is that he was feeling some curiosity about this human, which made him want to see him.
"Well, go now, I promised you that I would take revenge on the person who hit you, but we haven't found him, so I don't have to waste any more time on your personal matters" Odrick entered his house and quickly locked the door without leaving the last fish men any chance to talk.
"Fuck that human bastard," one of the Fish-men shouted as he punched the wall of Odrick's House hard, the anger inside them was too great and he could not vent it.
"What are we going to do now, guys?" one of the Fish-men said while looking at his comrades, whose faces were filled with expressions of frustration.
"What do you think we can do, we will look for that annoying human and we will take revenge on him, I have a good plan that will make us play with him as we please" evil expressions appeared on the faces of the Fish-men as they began to discuss their plan.
Unaware of their surroundings, Arthur stood on top of Odrick's House listening to the Fish-men's plan aimed at him, every word the Fish-men said about their plan reached Arthur's ears, making him stifle his laughter with great difficulty.
'I didn't think these idiots would come up with such a strange idea' Arthur looked at the Fish-men with sarcastic expressions, their plan was a little good but it didn't pose any threat to Arthur, so he decided to leave them alive for now.
After the Fish-men finished discussing their plan, they left with happiness flooding their faces, while Arthur continued to stand in his place and there was a complicated expression on his face.
This confusion that Arthur feels was because of Odrick, during the previous night and after Arthur had beaten these people, he pursued them in order to find out what kind of plans they might target him with, but he was surprised when they turned to someone he knew.
'After all this time, I don't know if this person still appreciates the fact that I saved his life' a few years ago, Odrick declared his loyalty to Arthur, but Arthur is aware of human nature and the fact that time changes people's hearts, so he is not sure about the truth of Odrick's loyalty.
"I m going to watch for the moment and see if he deserves to be a follower," Arthur quietly left as he was thinking about his next move, his unexpected meeting with Odrick made him rethink what he was going to do.

[After 10 days]
Odrick headed towards his house while carrying a bag full of his daily needs. After wandering around the market all morning, Odrick was eager to go home and get some rest while drinking some soothing tea.
'Hmmmm!' When Odrick arrived at his house he was surprised that the front door was open and this made him raise his guard, he turned his head cautiously and looked around with a serious expression.
He put the grocery down and put his hand on the door calmly, preparing himself for anything possible. He pushed the door with all his strength and jumped in and he took a fighting position, his eyes were frantically checking his surroundings, but he didn't find anything even after checking his entire house.
"HOF, I was worried unnecessarily, there is no stranger and all my belongings are in place, which means I was not robbed" with a sigh of relief, Odrick lowered his guard and looked at the door of his house with eyes filled with suspicion.
Crash!
Odrick quickly turned around and fended off a small dagger flying at an insane speed towards him, the attack was so sudden and accurate that Odrick had no choice but to fend off the attack with his bare hand.
Drop!
A few drops of blood fell from Odrick's hand but he did not pay attention to it and all his concentration was directed towards the mysterious person standing in front of him.
In front of Odrick stood a strange humanoid figure dressed in a gray robe covering his head and body, his face was covered with a piece of red cloth,
All Odrick could see were two brown eyes looking at him with indifferent glances, those glances did not carry any hostility or murderous intent but made him feel a deep chill in his soul.
"Who are you, don't you know that it's rude to attack people for no reason" despite the strange feeling that Odrick feels, he showed no sign of weakness and directed all his focus towards Arthur.
As the intent to kill began to overwhelm the place, the atmosphere fell silent for a few seconds, and then suddenly, with an unexpected step, Arthur quickly sent a Flying Dagger towards Odrick.
The dagger flew at a crazy speed towards Odrick , but he easily stopped the dagger with his bare hand. This movement was a surprise to Arthur, but it was still within his expectations.
Through the sun symbol on Odrick's back, Arthur can tell that he was one of the Sun Pirates and before that he was a slave used by the Celestial Dragons in their leisure activities so that they make him fight other people in a fight to the death.
Odrick was a strong person, but what Arthur wanted to know was the magnitude of this power.
Arthur pulled out his sword and ran quickly towards Odrick, the room was very narrow, which made Arthur reach Odrick's front with only three steps. Odrick took a fighting pose similar to Kung-Fu users and stood in place waiting for Arthur to make his move.
Arthur cut with his sword, aiming at Odrick's belly, but before the sword reached Odrick's stomach, Arthur was surprised by a giant palm moving towards his face at an insane speed, Arthur quickly jumped away from Odrick
Arthur returned to stand in place while the cold sweat from his forehead caused that blow sent to him by Odrick made him see Death up close, if that blow hit him his face would shatter for several pieces.
Drop! Drop!
A few drops of blood dripped from Odrick's abdomen as Arthur's sword got stuck to his abdomen, although Arthur had quickly jumped away from Odrick's attack but was able to hit Odrick with a superficial blow.
"Is that you, sir?" despite the bloody injury in Odrick's stomach, he didn't pay any attention to it and all his focus was directed towards Arthur while there is an expression of disbelief on his face.
"Hmmm!" Arthur felt a little puzzled by Odrick's reaction, he calmly raised his hand and touched his face to find the cloth hiding his face was gone and there was a small scratch on his forehead.
"Sir, why are you attacking me, is there any reason for you to do that?" although the person in front of him looks different, however, Odrick was convinced that he was the one who saved him a few years ago
Although he feels a lot of bewilderment at what is going on, he is still determined to find out the truth behind his master's actions.
"Huh, there's no reason to do that, all I wanted to do was find out just how strong you are" with a small sigh Arthur spoke indifferently.
"Well, I get it" even though there were hundreds of questions lingering in his head, he didn't dare to ask them, Arthur's indifferent expression was like a message addressed to him saying " Don't go too deep into questions"
"Is there any reason why you came here, Sir?" after clearing his mind and organizing his thoughts, Odrick asked in a submissive voice like an obedient subordinate.
"I want you to provide me with a passage to Wano Country" Arthur said in an indifferent voice, while he looked at Audric with a look of aspiration.
"This is very difficult, but I can secure a safe path for you, but this will take some time" Odrick was aware that this task is the only chance to show how useful and efficient he is and if he can't help his master, his loyalty will be useless.
