Chapter 11: Awakening (2/2)
At first, I felt nothing but darkness around me as I closed my eyes and meditated.
A few minutes into it and I heard water splashing around. Eve had probably entered and was the source of the sound.
Everything came to a still after who knows how long and eventually, the darkness around me was slowly fading away as I felt myself enveloped in someone's warm embrace.
This was the Life Essence pouring in and was the source of warmth.
It was said that Life Essence was the reason for life to come into existence and such warmth could only be felt twice in a person's lifetime. The first time was when a person was in his mother's womb and the second was now, during the awakening ceremony.
This warmth brought a great deal of harmony, but as it continuously got poured into my body, the harmony was starting to be disrupted.
Life Essence was flooding in my body after a while and I had to properly channel it, otherwise I would die and turn into Life Essence myself, nourishing this cave I was in.
It was due to the reason that many didn't know how to channel the essence properly did they die.
Servants weren't in the know to eliminate weak ones and keep the strong ones who would survive this.
Only the top brass of the family were told of things and the lower brass suffered through the same fate as the servants.
I had instructed Eve on what to do so she should be fine.
As for me, I began circulating the Life Essence in my body and slowly and surely, guided it towards my glabella.
As the first wave of essence poured in, I felt something within me break. It brought me some pain but having trained for quite many years after my birth, my foundation was solid.
The darkness around me was vanishing in my vision. I was slowly seeing light.
I continued to guide the essence at my glabella and after waves of flooding that place with it, the bright light in my vision dimmed down and I finally could see it.
The sky.
The pee.
The goddamn MIND SEA!
I said pee because the water looked like piss. It wasn't piss, it was just yellow colored.
I had successfully awakened my Mind Sea with me being able to see a vast sea and a boundless sky.
The sky too was of yellowish hue and this place contained nothing but of these two things. It was really lonely, but that won't be for long.
For now, I tried to stabilize the Life Essence and consolidated my Mind Sea.
In who knows how long, I began feeling tremors here.
The piss sea began having turbulent waves and the sky thundered.
Here it was, the first tribulation.
Going against nature had its consequences and this was the first of it.
The first tribulation was strong, but I was well prepared and survived the onslaught of thunder raining down from the sky to the sea.
The sea was split apart at many places and so was the sky, but I reinforced them with the Life Essence around me.
I had a solid foundation, a strong bloodline, and was even a regressor so I should be having a strong soul too.
Nature won't spare me and I was doomed in this tribulation.
I probably was going to be the only person who was about to experience the strongest tribulation during the awakening and just as I thought, the thunder turned into violent lightning strikes followed by thousands of meters of high tsunami waves.
As everything violently clashed together, I suffered through a splitting pain and felt my mind was about to explode.
I gritted my teeth and accumulated as much Life Essence around me as I could and poured them all at my Mind Sea with all my might.

"I'll awaken and be the best— huh?" A teenager who had just said these words after entering his cave, suddenly stopped as he noticed the blue light flowers around him wilt and then wither.
"What's happening?" The boy couldn't help but look around and say.
The light was dimming around the cave he was in and this made him panic. "Hey! Hey! Hey! What the hell's happening!? What in the fuck!?!"
"The Life Essence! The Life Essence's diminishing!" The boy knew something about the awakening and immediately found out the problem.
He immediately ran to the place where the portal was, but found nothing but an empty wall.
Hitting the wall with all his might, the boy cried out, "Elders! Elders! Elders! Have a look here! Have a look here! Eldersssssssss!"
The boy began crying but nobody was there to hear his pitiful cries.
Meanwhile, at another cave, Viren, who was in deep meditation, had his brows knitted as the cave around him began dimming in light. The Life Essence was slowly vanishing in this place as well.
In just ten minutes, Viren abruptly opened his eyes and looked around, only to find himself in a darkness.
"What the fuck!? How has the Life Essence gone completely from here!? Hey! Hey! What's happening!?"
His cries were once again heard by nobody.
In the cave adjacent to him, Yu, who was going through a tribulation, abruptly had it end as she felt no more Life Essence.
She puked blood and was knocked unconscious. The same happened to the servants around her.
Similar situation occurred for everybody in this dimension.
The ones who were suffering through tribulation felt a backlash while the ones who hadn't even awakened their Mind Sea were woken up, as they were unable to feel the Life Essence.
However, things were completely different in a certain cave.
The blue flowers were illuminating with the brightest intensity possible and the cave was bright as the sun, albeit with a blue hue.
Like a tornado, the Life Essence was pouring right into one person in this cave, it being none other than Leonard.
Some of it went to Eve as well, however the intensity was less, giving her room to breathe and not break due to the sheer force of it.
Eve was going through a tribulation right now and since the Life Essence was enough, she had an easier time surviving through it.
Meanwhile, back on Leonard's side…

FUUUUUCCCCKKKK!
When are you going to end!?
I couldn't help but think as I began replacing the empty spots in the sea and sky with all my might.
It had been who knows how long and I was trying my best, but I was on my last straw and could break at any moment.
Quite a lot of lightning strikes appeared even if I screamed to them to stop.
Tragedy was like that one ex-girlfriend that just didn't want to leave me alone.
I hadn't gone through any tragedy yet in this life, but this tribulation seems to be making up for all the missing years of tragic things that didn't happen to me.
It was very much painful and had my soul not been powerful, I would've died by now. My bloodline too was playing a role in this, albeit a bit as an auxiliary and not something active.
After who knows how long, the tribulation calmed down and eventually, a portal opened up right at the sky of my Mind Sea.
I was sucked into it on my own and once again saw darkness.
In this darkness, there appeared many shinning stars all around me. Some dim, some bright, and so on.
I felt as if I was in the starry sky with this.
Finally, I had reached the most important place of my tribulation.
It was now time to collect my rewards for the pain I suffered through and officially walk towards a new beginning.
I looked up at and staring not a star but the void, said in a loud voice:
"Administrator, I know you're watching!"
