Chapter 26: Chapter 21: The Meeting
A few hours later, the Empire's colonized territories were currently being besieged primarily by the Utra Nation.
The territories were being conqoured and attacked regardless of their geographical location, as long as it would benefit each Faction they would do so.
The Utra Nation and Papral Nation were currently trying to weaken the Empire's territories, while they had successfully raided and destroyed two outposts of two different regions that were under Forossa's control.
Under the joint effort of multiple factions, Forossa had lost two Territories on the Eastern Side of the New Continent.
However, Tallon wasn't bothered by this since by chance, the meeting with the Powerhouses would down occur. He had lost a sizeable chunck of my forces, around 400 troops of the 4th Rank and a few Rank 5 Jarhead Warriors which was a pain, but the Keiser Apes he acquired would help me make up for that and regain his lost assets.
A large table made of marble floated high in the sky over the sea between the new and old continent.<*>
Seven seats floated next to the sides of the table, and a middle-aged man sat on one of them, calmly sipping what seemed tea from a cup.<*>
The man had short black hair, dark eyes, and a short beard, and his expression was incredibly calm as he waited for the other three guests to join him.<*>
There was also a woman sitting in the chair to his left, she had red robes that had the symbol of the Empire adorned in it.
She is God's Left Hand and the man is God's Right Hand of the Shandal Empire.
Time passed by and the duo continued to wait for the arrival of their invited guests.
Then, a man appeared and neared the table without taking a seat.<*>
"I must warn you, if this is some kind of trap, I'm more than willing to make the entire archipelago detonate . I reckon half of the Empire will be destroyed in the shockwave . "
The man who had just appeared and spoken was Chasing Demon, the patriarch of the Hive .<*>
"Do not fear, young one, the Almighty just wants to find an agreement . " God's Right Hand said without giving Chasing Demon a single glance.
Chasing Demon inspected him for a while before sighing a sitting in his opposite direction, caution lingered on his eyes as he watched his surroundings.<*>
More time passed, and another figure appeared<*>
It was a man who wore a golden crown, and a golden robe, this man was King Elbas, the ruler of the Utra Nation and the most feared individual in the Mortal Lands.
"Why is the closest man to god summoning me? Is the Empire so scared about the attack on its territories?"
"King Elbas, please, just call me God's Right Hand and sit . We are just missing a few more guests for the meeting to being."
God's Right Hand spoke while pointing to the seat to his right.
"Why is he here? Our three nations are enough to colonize the piece of Immortal Lands . " King Elbas asked while he remained unmoved from his current position.
"Because greed has won over one of you, we need everyone on board with this to secure the coasts peacefully, or we will never make it to the center of the new lands." A new, female, voice responded to his question.
The newcomer was a beautiful middle-aged woman appeared immediately after and sat on the seat besides King Elbas' still empty seat.
"Thank you for joining this meeting, Great Elder Diana." God's Left Hand said politely.
God's Left Hand had chosen to remain quiet for the most part and let God's Right Hand take the lead of speaking for the Empire.
They all turned toward King Elbas and waited for him to take his seat on the chair of the table.
King Elbas hesitated for a while before heaving a sigh and sitting besides Grand Elder Diana and God's Right Hand, he would never sit besides Chasing Demon who was effectively the runt of the litter amongst the might of the other powerhouses present.
It was then that everyone noticed that not just one, but two seat remained empty.
"Who is not present? I'm not aware of there being a seventh person?" Chasing Demon said aloud as he turned to face God's Right Hand.
"Does the God of the Shandal Empire intended to participate?" Great Elder Diana asked curious.
Though it would be simple to realise that there was no seat that was luxurious and there wasn't any empty seat between God's Right Hand and God's Left Hand where he should sit if he was coming.
However, the possibility exists that he could still sit opposite them and chose to lure them all here and coherence them into forceful agreeing with whatever scheme the Empire was planning.
Before God's Right Hand could speak, a loud draconic roar that shook the air and had also reached across the entirety of the New Continent had taken them by suprise.
The Heroic forces of all the Organisations had heard the roar as they were fighting but realising that it wasn't directed towards them, they focused on their current battles.
However, every Dragon that belonged to Forossa had also roared in joyous response to the return of their long lost brother.

They all heard that the third greatest dragon of their race, of the Ancient Dragons, had returned.
The Dragon God of Farum Azula was the first greatest of the Dragons.
Dragonlord Placidusax, the First Elden Lord and King-Consort to the Dragon God is the second greatest of the Dragons.
And third was...
While the others were completely confused by what was happening, they didn't show signs of reacting since the creature that roared was a Rank 5 Solid specimen.
Such a creature cannot threaten the Rank 6 Powerhouses in the slightest, but still their interest had been piqued.
Moments later a large dark shadow above them had caused them to shift their gazes to the where the once illuminating sun above them was.
A large Dragon was what they saw that had a wingspan of more than 400 meters in length and a body that was approximately 250 to 300 meters long and would stand on all fours at a height of about 75 metres, but if it held its head up high than horizontally flat, it would tower above a person to about 120 metres tall.
This Dragon was non other than the Great Ancient Dragon Gransax that had begun the Dragon Wars of the Lands Between, of which Leyndell's walls had never been breached by before until his arrival and of which Godwyn the Golden had once slain.

However, what actually suprised the other Rank 6 existences was that the Titan sized Dragon was wielding an equally large Spear.

The last thing that shocked them was that two figures were seen riding in the back of the Titan Dragon.
The dragon flew close to powerhouses and simply lowered its head for the two human sized individuals, which they stood on, to step of its head and approach the table with the others.
The man which everyone recognised as the Frost Monarch, because of the reports they received after learning that he was the ruler of the new Forossa faction, turned around and faced the dragon that remained in air.
"Go Gransax, ensure no one trespass on my Eastern territories. If they do then you are allowed to kill them."
The dragon Gransax, which the others just learned, left and made its way in the direction of the New Continent.
The powerhouses of the Empire and Great Elder Diana of the Papral Nation began to sweatdrop as they realised what he just said.
A Dragon of that size and power at the peak of the 5th Rank, just one step away from becoming a Rank 6 being, it was effectively the strongest force in the Mortal Lands second only to a Rank 6 existence.
Great Elder Diana and the duo from the Empire immediately took out their Inscription Notebooks and called off their attack on Forossa's territories.
They had no doubt that their forces could defeat the dragon Gransax, but that required multiple Rank 5 Solid assets, which they didn't have in that location at present.
The strongest being they had their was a Rank 5 Liquid and Gaseous Cultivators leading multiple Rank 4 Cultivators to attack Forossa's territories.
It would be their lose if a Rank 5 Solid Magical Beast that appeared to have a Bloodline Inheritance of some kind and a weapon the size of a small city appeared on the battlefield!
"I apologise for making you all wait but I had some important matters to attend to." Tallon spoke while exposing his arrogance and pride as he said those words.
The other powerhouses could instantly feel that Tallon was getting stronger and assumed that it must have been his Individuality that was similar to the Pride that King Elbas had.
(A/n King Elbas orignal Individuality isn't Pride but it does empower his actual Individuality.)
This was true since Tallon had just displayed his "Superiority" to the others in this moment in many ways.
First was him being able to tame a Magical Beast like Gransax, displaying his grand entrance, him mocking the Empire and the others for making them wait since he had "other matters" to deal with, of which it was him just hugging and kissing Ranni in her bed chambers within Eleum Loyce.
"Who is this with you?" Chasing Demon asked, knowing that he is able to speak to them since they were of the Gaseous Stage and his juniors, unlike the others.
"Greetings to you all, I am the Frost Monarch's mother. Patriarch of the Luminous Family and Starlight Sect. You can call me Mistress Lilith." Lilith introduced herself and her new title.
The others listened to her words and didn't react in such a major way other than showing a look of acceptance.
"First of all, I'd like to ask for a truce for the duration of this meeting, no killings on the new lands while we are here."
God's Right Hand spoke, and his words made both King Elbas and Grand Elder Diana complain.<*>
"You can't ask for something like that when your territories are under siege."
"I agree with King Elbas, the Empire has no right to stop the attack, we can have the meeting after the battle ends."
God's Right Hand revealed a calm smile before answering those complaints.<*>
"Very well, we'll talk after the battle ends . "
It was at that point that an explosion resounded from below them, and a blue pillar appeared in the new land.<*>
The cultivators around the table were quite surprised by the power behind the blast, but they were rank 6 existences, such an explosion couldn't affect them.<*>
King Elbas and Grand Elder Diana immediately picked their inscribed notebooks and remained in silence as they listened to the reports of the troops on that battlefield.
'Noah must be causing chaos down there killing Cultivators right and left. Noah and Elder Austin must be close to killing Lady Edna of the Elbas Family.' I thought yo myself as I observed everything play out in front of me.
It took a while but they sent a message through their Inscribed Notebooks.
"Truce." Both Great Elder Diana and King Elbas said at the same time towards God's Right Hand.
The four rank 6 cultivators then turned toward Chasing Demon who simply shrugged his shoulders before repeating that word.<*>
"Truce."
Their gazes shifted towards Tallon and Lilith, but Tallon served as the representative and spoke for himself and Lilith repeating the same word the others said.
"Truce."
"First of all, I would like to say that every faction has lost something, so we can skip the part where we ask for compensation. Do we all agree on this point?"
God's Right Hand's calm voice resounded in the air, the clouds above him seemed to stop when his words traveled through the sky.<*>
Yet, the power carried by his voice wasn't able to affect the existences in front of him, and King Elbas immediately snorted before pointing at Chasing Demon to deny his statement.<*>
"Every faction except for the Coral archipelago! Actually, I would really like to know why the Hive was in my territories."
Chasing Demon listened to King Elbas' words and shrugged his shoulders once again before answering with an expressionless face.<*>
"An external force has just hired my men, my organization can't sustain the expenses of two different wars, we just wanted to make some quick gains while also weakening you all."
King Elbas' eyes sharpened when he heard those words .
"We are not greedy, we will just wait for the inevitable war between your four factions before claiming the southwestern coast. The Hive has experience in stealing nations after all."
Chasing Demon opened a flask full of wine as soon as he finished speaking and began to drink in silence, his performance was over, now he only had to listen to the real rulers of the Mortal Lands before deciding how to exploit the meeting to his advantage.<*>
"If that ever were to happen, Gransax alone would destroy the Archipelago in a singular attack, regardless of his location and your defences. Just see what happens, and if you think you personally were to stop him before he is able to launch his offensive, I invite you to try and steal what is mime." I threatened Chasing Demon and stared him down waiting his response.
King Elbas smirked at my direct threat since he was unable to retort and refute Chasing Demon's previous words, but I had directly destroyed the temporary pedestal Chasing Demon gained and had stood on moments ago.
The stalemate continued but Chasing Demon couldn't tell that I was actually bluffing.
Gransax's ultimate nuclear attack was powerful, but it wouldn't be as effective as it was when he was in his prime in the Elden Ring verse. As of right now Gransax could bypass a Rank 6 defensive barrier that Chasing Demon was able to create but it would take a few attacks, by that time Chasing Demon himself would enter combat to kill Gransax personally.
"I agree, just go straight to the point."
In the end, King Elbas spoke those words agreeing to Chasing Demon's words while turning toward God's Right Hand.
"Same here, just reveal the reason behind this meeting . "
Grand Elder Diana agreed and turned toward the envoy of the Empire too .<*>
Chasing Demon and Tallon simply nodded when he saw that God's Right Hand was waiting for their answers.
"Very well." Chasing Demon said.
"Go on slave of the Failed God." I said and as those words left my lips both God's Right Hand and God's Left Hand had released an intense killing intent in my direction.
Great Elder Diana, King Elbas and Chasing Demon were all shocked that I would directly antagonise the strongest organisation in the Mortal Lands and even the God of the Shandal Empire.
'He must be watching all this I wonder how he is reacting to my words?'
I was aware that Shandal was watching everything that going on in the Mortal Lands for the time being but I know he wouldn't take action over such words but if I did keep it up then he wouldn't let it slide.
The duo powerhouses of the Empire looked like they would kill me on the spot but a voice echoed in their surroundings.
"Enough!" That was the only word that was spoken by the unknown voice but God's Right Hand and God's Left Hand explained in shock and awe at the voice.
"Almighty!"
They waited for a response but the voice of the God of the Shandal Empire didn't say anything else after that.
The duo begrudgingly relented and retracted their bloodlust to continue the meeting.
God's Right Hand revealed a false smile, while slightly showing off his intentions to kill me whenever possible, and waved his hand over the table.
An image appeared over its surface, the other five cultivators quickly realized that the picture illustrated the known territories of the new continent.<*>
Chasing Demon's eyes immediately went on the southwestern coast and sighed internally when he saw that those areas were dark, only the vague shape of its borders was drawn.<*>
The same went for the northwestern and southeastern coasts, those areas were dark, only the coastlines had been depicted.<*>
However, the territories on the northeastern coast were depicted in detail.<*>
God's Right Hand had revealed the layout of those territories, leaving apart only the traces left by divine beings that the Empire had discovered.<*>
"What does this mean?"
Great Elder Diana asked while she memorized the information revealed by the picture, even the other two powerhouses wondered about the meaning behind that action but Tallon was already aware of everything.
"They want us to cooperate together to explore the central regions of the continent together." I informed the others and they all turned to face me before turning to God's Right Hand.
"Yes he is correct, we all know that there are traces left by divine beings on the new continent and that the density of "Breath" in the environment increases as we explore its depths. Yet, we have all limited our explorations to the coastlines because we are aware that only rank 6 existences can explore the center of the continent!"
God's Right Hand spoke, revealing an essential piece of information which Chasimg Demon memorised in this Mind.
Silence fell on the meeting, King Elbas, Tallon and Great Elder Diana were aware of that truth, but they didn't speak about it, while Lilith was already informed by Tallon about this.
The inland territories were simply too dangerous, and too many powerful beings inhabited them, even rank 6 cultivators couldn't explore them that easily, not alone at least.<*>
After all, the new continent had once been an environment that only divine beings could explore, it wasn't a surprise that it hid dangers that even peak heroic cultivators feared.<*>
"What are you suggesting?" King Elbas asked.
His tone was far more polite compared to before, it seemed that the topic deeply interested him.<*>
"I say that we can stop caring about the coastlines and make an alliance to explore the most dangerous areas, we can resume killing each other after the entirety of the continent is mapped."
God's Right Hand answered and pointed at the map before adding something .<*>
"There is no point in wasting assets with so many resources at hand, and we can't continue to hold ourselves back just because we belong to different factions. Let the weaklings fight over the coastlines while we explore the rank 6 danger zones together, we are all aiming to the Immortal Lands after all." God's Right Hand said.
The rulers of the all the nations had to remain in their domains as a last line of defense should another try to invade while they were absent.
While Tallon had to remain in Forossa both to not antagonise the other factions and to help ensure the progression of Forossa's forces, Chasing Demon staying in the Archipelago to complete the Copying Formation that would be able to use Breath to create copies of living beings such as Magical Beasts which would be used as training of lower Rank assets and a defensive measure of the Hive.
Yet, the envoy of the Empire was suggesting to drop those enmities to finally explore those dangerous areas.<*>
"And whose word can we trust to form this alliance?" Chasing Demon spoke at that time.
As the weakest organization, the Hive would be the first to be attacked if its strongest power was to suddenly disappear.<*>
God's Right Hand took a shining token from his storage device and answered while wearing a reverent gaze.<*>
"The Almighty's, of course!"
The token shone with a soft light but radiated an ancient aura, King Elbas, Great Elder Diana, Chasing Demon and Lilith could immediately realize that the power contained in the inscribed item surpassed their realm which could only belong to a Rank 7 being such as the God of the Empire. Meanwhile, Tallon analysed it with his evolved and mimiced version of the Divine Deduction Technique that Noah inherited from Divine Demon's Inheritance.
"A pact?" Great Elder Diana asked.
That kind of item was often seen in the cultivator world, many pacts and agreements were sealed through tokens or sigils.<*>
Only a Rank 7+ pact would be able to bind all the Rank 6 powerhouses present.
"Yes, reveal the details of the territories that you've conquered, and you will join God's Left Hand and me in the exploration of the depths of the new continent. There must be a reason why these territories have fallen from the Immortal Lands, the cause is either on the other side of the sky or at the center of the new continent."
God's Right Hand ended his explanation with those words, the Shandal Empire was basically offering the help of two rank 6 cultivators to explore the depths of the new continent!<*>
Chasing Demon remained silent since this offer was enticing, he had already Kearney the "truth" of why the Piece of the Immortal Lands had fallen and it was all because of that Rank 8 wingless Dragon imprisoned in the desert region that Noah had explored.
Unbeknownst to him, Tallon was laughing like a maniac in his head at the marvelous deception he was playing on Chasing Demon and the Hive, primarily Noah Balvan his target for his plans in the future.
It was needless to say that such an offer was incredibly enticing for all parties involved as it would help them to raise and become a Divine Being to ascend to the Immortal Lands all the more faster.
King Elbas was the first to act, he touched the shining token and browsed the conditions of the agreement in his mind before waving his hand toward the map.<*>
Names and lines of demarcation began to appear on the southeastern coast, the dark areas were replaced by detailed drawings that depicted the environment on those territories.<*>
Then, he touched the token again, and a shining rune appeared on the back of his hand, the ruler of the Utra nation had immediately agreed to the alliance!<*>
Great Elder Diana did the same, she checked the terms of the agreement and waved her hand before sealing the alliance.<*>
The territories on the northwestern coast of the map obtained names and details, only the traces left by divine beings weren't mentioned on the map.<*>
Tallon and Lilith inspected the shining token and perused the contents of it.
'Each of the factions would be limited to certain areas of the continent of which they had arrived at. A tournament would be held and Rank 4 Cultivators wold fight for control of the Territories on the coasts. As the tournament matches fighting for control of the more inward territories happens, the higher the Rank of the Cultivator fighting for that region would increase until Rank 5 beings fight for the more central territories. Anyone can fight for ownership of any territory nearby to their initial landing zone on the New Continent. No killing is to occur or the side that the cultivator dies on will have remunerations and compensation from the murdering faction and the territory will go to the deceased side by default depending on the circumstances of which this Oath covers almost all possibilities of listed here. Also no cultivator can fight twice. There are a few more conditions but these are the main ones.'
I looked to Lilith and she seemed to agree with me, I snapped my fingers and names and detailed images of the territories Forossa had discovered revealed themselves on the map. Like the others and the Oath's conditions I kept out the traces of Divine Beings but the Empire was aware of the Water Stele's existnace but it didn't appear on the map for others to learn about.
The other factions were utterly shocked by how much I had colonised of the New Continent and was utterly outraged by the fact I had taken the lead over them in the exploration and colousation.
Meanwhile, Chasing Demon could only smirk in his mind at the looks that the other big factions had that the mysterious newbie faction of Forossa had overtaken them, was certainly a blow to their pride and egos.
The six of them then turned toward Chasing Demon who wore a solemn expression.
He knew that he was the weakest of them and that his organization paled compared to those of the forces sealing the agreement.<*>
Yet, obtaining something that could benefit him despite his rank couldn't be missed, it was possible that nothing else in the entirety of the Mortal Lands could offer him such a chance.<*>
His hesitation was soon replaced by determination, and he reached for the token, accepting the terms of the alliance that the item contained.<*>
The five major forces of the Mortal Lands had sealed the contract created by the God of the Empire!<*>
Chasing Demon didn't add the information that he knew about the southwestern coast to the map, those areas remained dark, but Tallon did nothing to expose him for concealing this information that he had been secretly sending the Hive to explore the New Continent behind the backs of the other Nations.
The light of the token flickered when the alliance was sealed, and the item rose in the air before shooting in the distance, toward the territories of the Empire.<*>
No one asked about its destination, it was clear that the token was returning to the only being that could control it.<*>
"Now, we just have a few matters to settle." God's Right Hand stood up as he resumed to speak.
"The alliance divides the four corners of the new continent between our countries, but there are many territories that have yet to be claimed under a banner, especially for what concerns the southwestern coast."
Chasing Demon's expression didn't flicker when he heard those words, he knew that the time to obtain official claims over the new lands had arrived and the Hive could finally make some tangible gains without fearing the other organisations wrath.
"It's not fair to divide the coastlines into five equal parts, the Hive didn't bear the expenses of the colonization in these last five years so it can't gain such rich and vast territory for free. Our nations need a chance to conquer some of them without too much bloodshed."
"As you saw in the Oath, i propose a Tournament. This might be able to satisfy all the interested parts if youd allow me to explain in detail."
God's Right Hand said before revealing his thoughts to those that were now his companions.<*>
The discussions continued for a while as even more rules and conditions for the tournament matches were added onto of those in the Rank 7 Oath.
Tallon was initially suprised that the Rank 7 Oath had the Tournament as its conditions but he chalked it up to the presence of his fifth Faction having forced this to occur as a butterfly effect.
The other factions, primarily the Empire, tried to add a rule where we could only occupy one side of the New Continent, since I own a part of the Western and most of the Eastern coastlines but I simply exposed the existence of the Water Stele I was in possession of to shut the Empire up.
Additionally, i had also used the information my Black Knife Assassins had gained for me from spying on all the Factions to reveal one of the three traces of Divine Beings the Empire had discovered.
It was located in the region directly above the poisonous swamp and the Apes forest on the Souther coastline more inland.
In this location we're tall purple crystal towers that when harvested and extracted, can be refined into a type of thin powder.
Inhaling this powerder could make one's connection to their element skyrocket and enhance all their abilities connected to said element.
The best thing is that it can be reproduced by scattering the remains of the occupying Earth type crystalline Magical Beast of that region near the crystal towers and then pour dome water onto their bodies before using fire on them.
This would transform their bodies into the same crystal material as the crystal towers themselves.
The Empire's duo powerhouses were sweatdroppimg and were livid at this information being so accurate and was completely exposed to the other rulers of the other factions.
They all memorised what they just learned but Tallon's words piqued their interests again.
"Would you like me to reveal the other two traces of Divine Beings the Empire has found or should I stop?" I bluntly said and the others grew interested in my words.
I knew they would contact me afterwards in order to make a deal to learn what else the Empire had found related to Divine Beings.
Seeing that they couldn't expose the existence of the Water Stele to blackmail me anymore was useless, they could only give up before I made things worse for them.
"The Empire will not pass that rule."
God's Left Hand spoke seeing that his companion was unable to speak as he was about to leap in my direction to seperate my head from my body, but the Rank 7 Oath prevented harm to one another unless for certain conditions to be met.
"I thank the Empire for their compassion and understanding."
The Empire had then tried to add more rules to the matches in order to defend their territories.
They were now aware that the other factions discovered from Tallon just now that they had three traces of Divine Beings and were trying to go after the Water Stele that Tallon had revealed!
The combined pressure of all the Factions about the rule for fighting in matches to claim nearby territories rather than across the New Continent forced the Empire to cancel out that rule to appease the pressure from the other four factions!
There was a new rule added where there can be multiple free-for-all battles for a territory that multiple factions desire to take control of.
Tallon had been the one to propose this idea and the others agreed, knowing that they can team up to eliminate the competition so they can fight for control of a territory.
Tallon knew that they would use the free-for-all matches primarily for the locations that have traces of Divine Beings or where they suspect it to be located at such as the Water Stele and the Puruple Crystal Towers.
When everyone left the area of the meeting I was the last to leave.
"I bid the two enslaved fanatics to their delusional faith, farewell and I hope to meet you again in time for the exploration imof the central regions. By then I hope you can be baptised and cleansed of false faith that plagues your minds. Farewell."
I gave a theatrical bow and spoke in a polite, respectful tone before teleporting away with Lilith with a small cloud of watery mist where we once stood.
"I'LL TEAR HIS HEART OUT!"
God's Right Hand roared our loud and the roars of a Rank 6 being were felt as it caused small miniature earthquakes and tsunami to occur in the surroundings, that wouldn't cause a problem, but they were felt on both the Old and New Continents and the Cultivators could only be left dumbfounded at what was transpiring.
