Chapter 2: Chapter 1:The Light At The End Of The Abyss

I never believed in the whole ''light at the end of the tunnel" this only happends when people, after having a near death experience, would startle awake in cold sweat exclaiming, "I saw the light!"

But here I am at the so-called "tunnel" well I called this hell as there's only darkness endless after all this is the void where everything must end but I'm still here eventually I'll disappear...be gone...destroyed... then I saw a glaring light, I remember I was falling after saying something to people and then fell backwards on my own and here we are but now there's a light.

Then a pressure was forcing me to this mysterious light it almost made me forgot being in the void for once as I felt like I was now...crawling...but I went for the ride might as well see where it takes me.

The journey seem to take an eternity. I half-expected to hear any moment, a choir of children singing a song that was angelic hymn, beckoning toward me what I thought was heaven...can I even go to heaven. Instead, as if I were looking through a foggy window, everything around me turned into a bright blur, forcing me to shut my eyes. Indiscernible sounds assaulted my ears, making me feel dizzy. When I tried to speak the words came out as a cry.

The cacophony of indistinguishable sounds slowly mellowed, and I heard a muffled voice saying, "Congratulations, Sir and Madam, she's a healthy girl."

...Huh..wait.

I suppose I can already guess that I've experienced the miracle of birth firsthand, but I was momentarily overcome by the thought of my own birth. I was in the void for centuries, how can I be born again?

Assessing my situation in a rational manner as I was formally a Goddess, I made note, first of all, that whatever this was, I understood the language. That is a good sign.

I slowly and painfully open my eyes once more, and they were bombarded with different colors and figures. It took a bit of time for my infant eyes to get used to the light. A not-so-appealing face moved into my line of sight-- with a man with long, graying hair on both his hair and chin, wearing a pair of glasses. He seemed to be the doctor, but he wasn't wearing a doctor's gown nor were we in anything close to a hospital room. I seemed to have been born from in a royal room as there a king-sized bed and royal furniture around the place.

I looked around and saw the woman that gave birth to me. It would seem reasonable to me to call her 'mother.' Taking a few more to see what she looked like, I had to admit she was beautiful, though that might have been due to my still-bleary eyes Rather then glamorous, I would describe her as lovely just like Thalassa, as I can tell she has a very nice and gentle aura around her. She had striking black hair and Green eyes, long eyelashes, and a perky nose, and for the first time I felt the urge to just cling to her. She exuded an irresistible maternal warmth, and I wondered if all babies felt this instinct to bond with their mothers as I never felt this before.

I peeled my eyes away and i looked at the person standing to my right. By a smile of love and joy and teary eyes gazed at me, I assumed he's my...father. Immediately he said, Hi, Kate, I'm your Papa. Can you say papa?'' I glanced around to see both my mother and the doctor roll their eyes as my mother managed to scoff without trying to laugh, "Honey, she was just born.''

Taking a closer look at my father, I could see why my lovely mother was attracted to him. Aside from all the screw losses on his brain he seemed to have, expecting a newborn to say two-Syllable word--I decided to give him a benefit of the doubt he had overcome with joy of becoming a father-- he was a very charismatic-looking man with a clean-shaven, square jawline that complimented his features. His hair Jet-black in color, which was kept smooth and combed while his eyebrows were strong and fierce, extending sharply like two swords. Yet his eyes held a gentle quality, perhaps imparted by the way the way they drooped a bit at the outside corners, or the deep yellow, almost Gold, hue of his irises.

I heard my mother's voice ask, "Doctor why isn't she crying? I thought newborns were supposed to cry." While I finished studying my presumptive parents, the bespectacled gentlemen who called himself a doctor dismissed my mother's worry, saying, " there are cases where the infant doesn't cry. Please continue resting for a couple days, Mrs.Terra. Mr. Terra, I'll be available in case you need anything as I'm loyal to your family." And that marked the first day of a new life.

The weeks following my journey out of the void were weird to say the least. I had little to no motor control, other then being able to wave my little limbs around and, even that got tiring quickly. I soon relized that babies don't have control over their fingers. When you place your finger on a baby's palm, they don't grab it because they like you; they grab it because it's like being hit in the funny bone. It's a reflex. Forget motor control; I couldn't even excrete my wastes at my descretion. I was not able to master of my own bladder.

The Royal room that I saw when I was born seemed to be my parents room. As best I could tell, I've seemed to have be Born in earth, in the time where royalty still exists and more other things about royalty.

My father has been swinging me around one day not that I mind but I did mind when he bumped me against a drawer, scratching and my mother healed it.

No, not like 'a bandage and a kiss to make it go away healing' no this was a shining- light- with- a -faint- hum- from -her- freaking- hands.

Where the hell am I?

My mother and father ---- Luna and Alex Terra---- seemed to be good people. Hell possibly the best from what I've seen. I suspected my mother was a Goddess herself; I'd never met such a kind-hearted, warm person. She frequently took me with her to town, carrying me on her shoulders as she also had two Knights with her on standby. This town, well actually was a Market full of royals as there were nobles and ladies looking at items and such.

We walked along the main trail, which featured tents on both sides with various merchants and salesman selling all common, everyday necessity to things I couldn't help but raise a brow at, like weapons, armor, and rocks...shiny rocks!

Probably in attempt to help me learn the language faster, my mother talked with me while for the day's groceries and exchanging pleasantries with people by or working in the booths. One thing I learned about my mother is that she doesn't care about royal status and only judge's people's personality as I thought about this my body then turned against me and I fell asleep...damn this useless infantile body of mine.

I woke up in my mother's lap. She was caressing me absently, intently focused on my father. He was reciting a chant, and continued for a minute, something like a prayer to the...earth. leaned in closer and closer, almost falling off my living seat, expecting some magical phenomenon like an earthquake spliting the ground or a giant stone golem emerge---and for an infant with the attention span of a goldfish, it was---three boulders, each the size of ah adult human, emerged from the ground and slammed against the tree.

What in the name of....that was it?

I flaied my arms in anger, but my idiot father interpreted that as excitement. With a smile on his face, he said, "your daddy is awesome, huh?"

Whenever magic he had accomplished, he was undoubtedly much better at fighting.

When he grabbed his sword, even I was impressed, despite my experience in fighting and seeing many weapons with top notch experts in my past. With quick firm movements that were good for his athletic build, his muscles begin to adapt. Each movement becomes more fluid, more controlled and where enough to slice boulders quick and clean and slice through trees, even his form was perfect and didn't leave any openings for an opponent. In my former world he would have been classed as a high-tier sword master, leading a squad of soldiers, but to me he's my new father.

The day's passed quickly, and I drank in as much information as I could, listening intently to my parents and observing everything I could see. Every day I've devoted myself to honing my new body, mastering the motor functions residing deep within me.

That comfortable regimen soon changed.
