Chapter 59: Trust Your Judgement

Time flew by, and soon it was time for Mei Xing to return to the office.

She delicately wiped her lips with a napkin and took a final sip of water. Glancing at her watch, she realized she had only a few minutes to make it back to work.

"Look at the time, lunch break is almost over," she noted with a hint of surprise.

"Time always seems to pass quickly when you're enjoying yourself," Lu Aotian remarked.

"That's true. But I'm really glad we met. It was a lovely break," Mei Xing replied, smiling warmly.

"I agree. And I guess not coincidences are bad after all," Lu Aotian said, sharing a laugh with her.

After a brief pause, Mei Xing stood up. "Well then, I guess I'll see you around."

Lu Aotian stood as well, adjusting his coat. "Which way are you headed? I can give you a lift."
