Chapter 3: Going out
Done feeding Mia, it was time to head outside for the first time in a while as the food sources he had kept for emergencies had run out.
Grabbing his short, rusted sword and backpack, he takes one of the paths that lead outside.
The path is different from the previous one at his tribe's cave. He has already blocked that pathway off in case it is found. If the adventurers ever discover it, all they will come across is a dead end with some plants and fruits lying there. This was to mislead them into thinking this was some sort of hidden vault of one of the goblins. He isn't taking any risks of being discovered.
After walking for 10 minutes, he finally reached the end of the path. Pushing his body against the wall, it slowly turned sideways, letting the morning light shine into the dark pathway.
He takes some time to allow his eyes to readjust to the sudden light before surveying his surroundings. Tall dark green trees and bushes filled the area, with birds chirping as if welcoming a new day.
Stepping out, he turned his head back to look at the enormous rock in the center of the small clearing, with a part of the rock sliding slowly back to its original angle. He has used the giant rock as a door for the hidden route.
This will be the very first time he will venture out alone without any fellow goblin with him. He could feel his heart pounding from anxiety and uneasiness about what could transpire on this hunting trip.
Phew~
Taking a deep breath, he calmed his heart down and with determination, he set forth into the forest.

"Is there still no news?" A man asked while looking toward the young man kneeling in front of him.
"I am sorry, Guild Master; we have searched the entire cave and the surrounding area, but we can't find any trace of her." The person kneeling replied.
Sigh
'Just where the hell did she disappear to?' The man thought to himself, He had heard that she was taking on a goblin tribe extermination mission with a group of adventurers.
As it is a new goblin tribe, at most it will have a level 12–15 goblin chief, with the other goblins around level 5–6. With the group of adventurers being around levels 7-9 and consisting of a level 14 leader, he wasn't worried about anything happening to the girl.
But a day later, the adventurers returned with the news of Mai's disappearance. He instantly summoned them to his office to understand how that happened. As they recounted what happened, he got extremely confused.
'How does a goblin know how to use the mist plant?' He thought. It didn't make sense, as goblins are known as one of the dumbest species in the entire world. Even a five-year-old is smarter than them. The only exception to this will be if it is an evolved goblin.
(Note: Evolved monsters are those whose classes have evolved. (For example, the chief goblin is an evolved monster.)
When a monster evolves, they gain a boost in their stats, but their intelligence will also increase. Some could even gain humanlike forms through certain evolutions.
Anyway, it still wouldn't make sense if it were an evolved goblin. If it was one, why didn't it help his tribe? With two evolved monsters, the adventurer won't stand a chance against them.
'Is a mere goblin that smart?'
The reason he was worried about a mere girl was because of his son. He seems to have become crazy in love with that girl and has been told repeatedly to protect her at any cost while he is on a mission.
Thinking about how his son would react, he could only let out a sigh.
'He will go insane if he were to know of this'
"Continue your search." The man said
"I understand"

Somewhere in the forest, a lone goblin was sneaking around the bush toward a forest wolf drinking water from a pond.
The goblin who was trying to sneakily attack the wolf was Leo. He was very nervous, as this was his first time hunting alone. Sweat can be seen forming on his forehead.
Before his tribe was annihilated, he would always hunt with a group of goblins and never go out alone, as he knew he would end up dead being the weakling he is.
However, he is alone now, without any allies to help him. This will be quite a challenge for him, and he knew that he wouldn't leave this battle without injuries.
The forest wolf was two meters long and one meter wide, with green fur all over its body. It has sharp claws and teeth that could easily tear through his flesh. Looking at those sharp claws, he felt a chill run down his spine.
Phew
'I got this.'
He calmed himself down and slowly moved toward the wolf while producing as little noise as possible to not alert it.
Slowly, he closed the distance between them, and when only 1 meter was between them, he launched forward with all his strength, stabbing the short sword into the wolf's back.
"AWOoo!!!"
Injured by the unexpected attack, the wolf let out a painful roar and backed away from the attacker.
Grrrrr
'O it mad'
"Garw Garw!" (Come at me, bitch.)
Rawr!!
Although he could not comprehend what the green-skinned bastard was saying, he could tell it was taunting him. The wolf angered, charged forward, aiming his claw at the goblin that sneak-attacked him.
Leo stepped to the side, dodging the attack, before trying to stab the sword at it. The wolf sees the attack coming quickly and counters the attack by biting the goblin's hand holding the sword.
Garw!! (argh!!)
Leo gritted his teeth to endure the sharp pain in his hand. He could feel the sharp teeth passing through his flesh and biting into his bone. Not wanting his hand to be ripped off, he dropped the sword from his hand and caught it in a reverse grip with his other hand before plunging it into the wolf's forehead and stabbing it into the brain.
Thud
The wolf collapsed to the ground as his eyes lost their luster. Blood started flowing out of the stab wounds, dyeing the grass red.
Ding!

Phew
Leo feels a sense of relief for his successful hunt and decides to head back for today. With an injured arm, it wouldn't be wise to continue venturing around the forest filled with monsters that could take his life in seconds.
Skinning and chopping the useful parts of the wolf, he put them into his backpack and returned home.

'Why is he still not back?' Mia thought. Normally, the goblin will always come to check on her from time to time and sometimes will come here to release his lust. Yet, it has already been several hours since the goblin came and checked on her.
She founds it weird that she was worrying about him when he have raped and impregnated her. Shouldn't she hate him and hope he dies?
'What is happening to me?' She questioned herself as she rubbed her belly.
Her belly has grown a lot over the past week, and before long she will give birth. Knowing this, she could only let out a bitter smile.
In this world, bearing a monster's child was seen as taboo. If one were to be found carrying one, they would be discriminated against and threatened to get rid of it.
Half-monster races are hated in this world to the point that they are constantly being hunted. People will kill any half-monster, no matter who they are, even if they are good guys. Though being killed was a blessing for them.
Those who are captured instead of being killed will be forced to suffer the most horrible and painful torture ever known. The only way to escape that hell is through death, but even that was hardly possible. The capturers won't let that happen. Therefore, half-monsters will usually stay as far away as possible from society.
The reason for all the hatred toward the half-monster race was because of a person. It was due to him that the half-monster is suffering to this day.
Anyway, being pregnant with the goblin's child, if she were to go back to the city, she would not be welcomed back unless she got rid of the baby. Heck! Even her family will disown her.
Being a kindhearted and caring person, Mia will never do such a thing to her child; thus, even if she escaped, she wouldn't be able to go back home and eventually be killed by the monsters.
"I could only stay here with that perverted goblin." Although sadness and regret could be felt in her voice, the perverted smile etched on her face, even she has no clue about, says something else.

Step step
Ultimately, reaching back to the big rock, Leo entered the hidden path. The injury was getting worse, and he was starting to feel a little dizzy from losing too much blood.
Upon reaching home, he laid the basket down and went toward the table to treat his hand. Applying an herb that speeds up the natural healing of the body, he bandages up the wound with a piece of cloth.
Done treating his injuries, he decided to check on Mia in case something happened while he was gone.
'She's asleep'
Zzzzzzz
A snoring sound filled the small cave as Mia slept soundly, laying her back on the wall as support. Moving his eyes down toward her belly, he nodded his head proudly.
'She will soon give birth' Making such a beautiful girl bear his child is a wonderful feeling and being a virgin in his past life made this feel even more amazing.
