Chapter 59: [Frostforged Warhammer] & Further Plans for the Merchant Group and Business

Eldric smiled and congratulated Caspian on his advancement, "Congrats, old friend" he said with a pure smile. After the rest of the House gave their farewells, he asked Caspian in a curious tone, "Tell me what this is one's name" he asked gesturing at the war hammer in Caspian's hand.

"Haha, I call it the [Frostforged Warhammer]" he spoke with immense pride and satisfaction. "Wonderful, wonderful" Eldric praised in glee as he examined the Warhammer. "It's a Rank 3 low grade weapon, right?" he asked after a few moments.

"Yes, with our current supply of metals and materials a rank 3 weapons are all I can create. And because of the few materials it took longer than expected to forge the hammer and break through. Thus, I fear that if we do not gather rarer and exotic materials and ores, I won't be able to create higher graded weapons" Caspian spoke with a sad sigh, knowing full well it would be impossible to gather new materials in a short period.

"Indeed" Eldric replied with concern. He stood in silence, thinking. Suddenly a thought struck him, and he quickly said to Caspian, "I may have a place for you to gather exotic and rare ores to create weapons with" he said excitedly.

"How?" Caspian asked curiously, "It's like this. A few days ago, we had agreed to start planning on building a merchant group that would be the main traders of the House, and we want to buy a shop to create our own shop. It would be the base of operations for the House's trade. If you want to, you can be the head blacksmith at the shop. In doing so you can garner more exotic ores and materials to forge weapons, some of those will be brought back to the House while some can be sold to the public. So, what do you think, are you willing?"

"Mmm" Caspian pondered in thought for a moment before speaking, "It will be my honor to serve," he said seriously.

"Hahaha. Good. Then I will make arrangements for you. It will take a few weeks to gather the necessary resources to create the merchant group, but I will let you know when it is ready for you to join." Eldric laughed boisterously.

Eldric said his goodbyes and soon left for the main House where he called for the Elders to come. It took them a while to gather but when they all did Eldric began, "I spoke with Caspian and after a few discussions I came up with an idea. In the coming weeks when the merchant group as successfully been established, he will be the head blacksmith at the shop."

"But patriarch what about our supplies, if he is going to be the head blacksmith in the merchant group, he would spend most of his time in the towns and cities. How are we going to keep our armory at standard and repair or forge more weapons?" Cael said with concern.

"Haha don't worry about that. I have already spoken to him. During his time there, yes, he will be mostly focusing on the shop and merchant groups need, but he will forge weapons and armor for us and then it will be transported back to the House. So, you need not worry, besides the current inventory in our armory could armor another 30 knights. So, short term we have nothing to worry about." Eldric said with a soft laugh.

"I know we already spoke about our plans for the merchant group, but it would be best if we quickly go over a few other things regarding them. You will instruct the merchants to not only look for a large enough store to buy, but there will also be two more buildings they should be on the lookout for. First it would be something similar to a large warehouse where we could store extra weapons and materials and so on and the second building can be any building as long as we can either revamp it into a building where our people can sleep and relax." Eldric advised.

"But Patriarch, the shop and merchant group alone are already an excessive amount of money needed for us to create. The shop and merchant group would already have around 2000 gold coins to establish. The two other buildings would also cost an immense amount of gold to buy." Evander spoke quickly after some thought.

"Indeed, that may be so, but we can take it slow. The first building would be precisely the shop and merchant headquarters. After that is done then we can slowly start to look for other buildings. Although we can slowly start, I want to buy a place for the people to live as soon as possible, after the shop that is our top priority." Eldric explained slowly.

The group realized what Eldric's plan was and although there were some problems related to his plans, they figured it would work out as he planned and decided to remain silent and wait until he finished speaking before, they would speak their concerns.

"As we progress to establish the shop and the group I wanted to ask for your opinions. If we should rather send our own people here, from the House or employ townspeople to help with running the business" Eldric voiced his concern and thought.
