Chapter 6: Ah-Cha.

Upon hearing Fang Yuan, the mute teammate looked at them with eyes seeking an explanation on why he wanted such names for their team.

Igor also looked at Fang Yuan with a surprised expression and said: "Never thought of you to be a lover boy. But why?"

Fang Yuan look at his teammates as he slowly and calmly explained in an even tone: "We all climb the tower for different purposes. Whether for wealth, fame or vengeance. But to climb the tower and reach the top, what do you need most in your climb?"

Pausing for a brief moment, Fang Yuan took a fleeting glance at the faces of teammates as he continued: "Is luck the important aspect you need as said by ranker Chloe. Or is it something else?.."

Interrupting Fang Yuan briefly, Igor quickly replied in a calm but hurried tone: "And let me guess you think that something is love?"

Completely ignoring the fact that Igor had interrupted him. Fang Yuan replied in the same even and calm tone as he had been speaking with before. But this time, one could sense a hint of fiery passion in his tone.

"Why not? Remember, no man is an island. To climb, you need to rely on others. And how can you easily trust others? Is through love. As teammates, we must learn to love and cherish one another. Though other things seem important and in fact they are. In this world, everything revolves around love and love is everything. Love has the power to heal and grant any wish."

Pausing a few moments, Fang Yuan said with an almost longing and slightly excited expression: "After all, in front of absolute love.... everything else is...nothing."

Igor and the mute teammate looked at Fang Yuan with an incredulous and unbelievable expression.

A few seconds passed with no one saying anything. All three of them were quiet when Igor said:" Well, I guess what you said makes sense and the name Love Alliance sounds better than mine. If there are no objections...."

Igor then looked at the mute girl.

The mute girl slowly shook her head to indicate she had no objections.

"Well, I guess 'Team Love Alliance' has been formed. Though the name doesn't sound right, what matters is the meaning behind it."Fang Yuan said with a slight chuckle and fake passionate tone.

"Ok then, let me form the chat group." Igor said as he turned his pocket to visible mode.

"Oh and would you be so kind and write your pocket code on the sheet and pass it to Yanis. And Fang Yuan would you also do the same and then pass it to me. After all, I would need your pocket code to send the group link to you in order for you to join the group." Igor said as he flashed both Fang Yuan and the mute girl a brilliant smile.

Bringing their pocket to visible mode, they did as he requested though it took Fang Yuan some time since he was not that conversant with the his pocket's function despite his training with it during the first test on the floor. Plus such advance technology was a alien to him. Soon 'Team Love Alliance' chat group was formed.

A few moments later, the first message appeared on the group page. It was from Fang Yuan.

The mute teammate texted.

A few moments later after no other introductory message had appeared, Fang Yuan and Ah-Cha stared at Igor with expression as if to say 'introduce yourself'. He almost shrugged his shoulders at them as if to say 'You already know who I am' but then when he caught a glimpse at Fang Yuan's icy gaze, he decided against that and he reluctantly texted on the group page.

After that he looked at Fang Yuan with resentment written all over his face as if to say happy to say 'Happy now?'.

After the events of the fourth test, though Igor would hate to admit, he had developed a subtle fear of Fang Yuan. The beastial and savage aura he had felt from Fang Yuan at that time had left a seed of fear deep within his heart.

Ignoring Igor completely as if he was air, Fang Yuan continued to type a message. Soon a new message popped up on the group page.

Ah-Cha texted.

Fang Yuan and Igor's gaze fell on her almost simultaneously imploring her to explain further, why such a suggestion? Taking all things into consideration, the first round which seemed the most dangerous and competitive paled in comparison to the fifth round. The brutality in that round would be massive and chilling. After all, the team that had the crown at the end of that round had victory.

Also, if a team did not participate in any or less rounds before the fifth round, the chances of participating in the fifth round was almost null since preferences was given to teams that had participated in more rounds.

Fang Yuan had never underestimated anyone. Before, he made a move, he planned with outmost caution and considered the worst possible case before making a move.

He didn't think she was stupid from his observations. Far from that. Would a stupid person be able to survive hordes of shinheuh in the first test? Of course not. Though it was arguable that with some luck and other factors at play, a stupid person could pass the test but that was not the main point.

So why was did she want them to participate only in the last round? Well there was no need to think of an answer, she would be providing it herself.

About two minutes later, a new message from Ah-Cha had popped up on the group page.

After reading the explanation given by Ah-Cha, Fang Yuan came to the realization that he had hit the jack pot with forming a team with her. Now, all thoughts of getting rid of her due to her disability had been thrown away from his mind. And he wasn't the only one who thought that way.

To understand the message Ah-Cha had sent, one would need to understand who red witches and silver dwarves were. Red witches were a race of only women able to see further into the far future but in broader terms. Plus, their ability's speciality to see fate of any creature in the tower at least that's how it was supposed to work.

Now, silver dwarves were similar to the red witches and could also see the future. But what made them different was that, silver dwarves could see the immediate future in much greater detail than red witches but not that far into the future like red witches. And their ability's speciality was to see cross roads, whatever that meant.

Now, Ah-Cha's grandfather, may his soul rest in peace, was a silver dwarf and her grandmother, may her rest in peace, was a red witch. The red witches and silver dwarves were a peaceful race. In that, they didn't hate each other. But for an unclear reason, they absolutely abhorred the fact of their clan members falling in love and even having a child. History will tell us that, in the past, when a red witch and silver dwarf ever fell in love, the witch and dwarf in that love web were imprisoned, never to be seen gain. And it wasn't so different during the time of Ah-Cha's grandparents.

Knowing the past and perceiving their respective race's plan, Ah-Cha's grandparents had ran away and hide themselves in a village in the outer tower gaining peace and living happy life. But that peace and happiness was long but did not stand the test of time. 67 years after Ah-Cha's father had been born, Ah-Cha's grandparents and father were found by the forces of both races. Ah-Cha father had barely escaped with his life but her grandparents weren't so lucky.

In the end, Ah-Cha's mother had stumbled on the severely wounded Ah-Cha's father whiles fetching water from a river. She had then brought him to her village and treated his wounds. Seeing her kindness and beauty, Ah-Cha's father couldn't restrain his emotions but fall in love with her. A few years later, they had married and Ah-Cha who had inherited her grandparents and father's blood and lineage of both a red witch and silver dwarf was born possessing both the powers of a red witch and silver dwarf. And apparently, she had been born without her voice. What a sad but epic story.

Therefore, with the information she had about the crown game and her observation of the strengths of the various teams, Ah-Cha had used her powers to find path suitable for her and her teammates to use to win the crown game. And that path was participating in the fifth round.

After getting an explanation from her, Igor had slowly stood up and bowed slightly towards Ah-Cha as he said in a polite and humble tone with a slight smile: "Forgive me, my lady for my behavior back then. I had not idea you possessed such incredible ability. Such a rare, unpolished and hidden gem."

After saying that, he had then sat down again, closed his eyes and said: "I agree with her. Let's enter the game during the fifth round."

With two against one, Fang Yuan opinion didn't matter unless he decided to go rogue. But he had no objection. Looking at how driven Igor was for victory as shown in the fourth test by his conviction to kill Ah-Cha though that may have been act. Igor had still trusted her and chosen her suggestion. After all, Igor had lived in the tower longer than Yanis and knew more about it than him.

Most important of all,Fang Yuan's years of experience told him that the girl was not lying unless of course she was a supreme grandmaster at lying which he did not believe. Therefore, he believed it wouldn't be that bad to trust her.

After that, they had shared their strengths. Fang Yuan informed them he was a good enough martial artist and fighter though not saying or demonstrating how good enough. Igor informed them he was a decent swordsman and archer though he had no bow and Ah-Cha informing them she was really that much of a fighter.

As you would you have it, she had survived the slaughter of the first test due to her ability. Well, that wasn't so surprising if you really though about it.

They had then formulated a simple but efficient plan with the help of Ah-Cha.

Currently, Ah-Cha was standing near the buzzer with her right hand on it waiting for the third and fourth round to end and then press it. Her needle however was lying near the floor where she had previously sat.

Igor had advised her to sit down and rest and wait for the fourth round to at least start before getting up.

But she had replied on the page that in the path she saw, she had to do this for them to get the a hundred percent chance to even participate in the fifth round.

Igor had shrugged upon reading her reply, closed his eyes and told her to wake him up when the fifth round was about to start though he didn't seem be sleeping.

Meanwhile, Fang Yuan continued to sit with his back leaning against the wall whiles chatting Ah-Cha through a private link hoping to glean some information from her about the tower since she seemed less smart than Igor. And since most of Ah-Cha's attention was on the buzzer looking to press it the moment the fourth round ended. And that had actually helped Fang Yuan in his endeavor.

And now after 40 minutes since the start of the crown game, 'Team Love Alliance' found themselves in the huge arena with four other teams during the start of the fifth round.
