Chapter 2: Should I Or Should I not

As Anna walked the familiar streets of her childhood neighborhood, a wave of anxiety and discomfort washed over her. She hadn't been prepared for how the people would react to seeing her there, a stranger in a place that had once been so familiar. The memories of her carefree days playing with friends haunted her as she approached the neighborhood she once called home.

From a distance, her neighborhood appeared strangely different, as if it had transformed into an entirely new place. She sighed, her voice tinged with worry, and muttered, "Will I be able to face it?"

As she continued her journey, the curious gazes of the locals followed her every step. She moved quietly, feeling like an outsider in her own past. Finally, she arrived in front of her old house, a place where countless memories with her parents had been etched into her mind.

With a mix of hope and trepidation, she reached for the doorknob, expecting the door to swing open to her childhood home. But it didn't budge. It was locked.

Confusion gripped her as she tried to recall if her father had ever sold the house. She was certain he hadn't. Just then, a curious little boy from the neighbor's house approached her and spoke, "She has been gone for two days. She isn't here."

Perplexed, Anna asked, "But who lives here now?"

The boy, with an innocent smile, replied, "An old woman has been living here for ten years."

Anna was taken aback. It was as if her past had been erased, replaced by the life of a stranger she had never known. She gazed at the house one last time, her heart heavy with the weight of lost memories, and turned away, leaving behind the ghosts of her past.

As Anna walked away from the mysterious house that had once been her family's home, she had no inkling that Porsche had been following her all along. Suddenly, he appeared in front of her, taking her by surprise.

"Anna! Did you come all the way here for such a short time?" he asked, his voice filled with concern.

Anna couldn't believe that he had been trailing her. She was taken aback and demanded, "What do you want from me? Why are you following me?"

Porsche quickly responded, "First of all, I'm not following you. It's just that I wanted to know about you." He didn't wait for her to reply and continued, "And if you're mad at me for snatching your purse, it was all an accident. I had no intention of doing that. I don't know why I did it. I'm sorry."

Anna felt a twinge of calmness after his apology and simply said, "Okay then, bye."

But Porsche stopped her again, insisting, "Anna, it's already getting dark. You should stay here for one night. This place can be quite dangerous to travel through at night."

Anna felt a surge of worry and explained, "Actually, I don't have a place to stay here, not even for a night. The woman I came to visit isn't at home."

The boy observed her for a moment and then replied, "No worries. You can stay at my place. My mother would love to see you."

Anna hesitated, surprised by this sudden offer. She inquired, "You live with your mother here?"

Porsche nodded and said, "Yes, my mother lives here alone. I came to visit her today. Every Friday, I come to visit her."

Anna was torn, not knowing whether to trust this young man. But with no other options and the night descending upon her, she reluctantly agreed, "Alright, I'll stay for one night. But just one night, and I'll leave in the morning."

Porsche flashed a genuine smile, relieved that Anna had accepted his offer. Little did they both know that this decision would set in motion a series of events that would forever change their lives.
