Chapter 5: CHAPTER 5
Erika sat next to the sidewalk, watching how the artifacts that she considered the most precious possessions she owned were carelessly thrown away.
"This is what is called a nice rainbow after the fall."
Erika thought, her eyes glowed in happiness.
She received the mail, which indicated that her application had been approved and that she must meet the manager to complete the arrangements and inspection.
She did not put on makeup; she made sure to look professional. The Golden Sunray Company was on the north side of the city.It had been known by its less performance, and the lack of many effective workers, thus the previous months the company noticed a little glow.
"Miss Erika, the most successful person in the business arena, I would like to understand your business needs."
A good-looking man in his thirty-five years stated that he gave a quick look at her file and then stared at her.
"Mr. Grandy, all I can say is that I'm in a tough spot, and this job means a lot to me."
Erika answered with a confident look at herself; although she hated dealing with companies like this, she had no way to go back.
"If the Iron Lady herself wants to work under my supervision as a secretary, then I don't mind"
Mr. Grandy said as he walked to the large window, Erika scrolled her eyes. This company was stock, its market ranking was at the rock bottom, it was a risk to join them.
"Thank God they have a private hostel for the company's employees, although my acceptance to live in that apartment will be deducted a quarter of my salary, but that's okay."
She stated while heading herself to the exit gate, she would start working from tomorrow.
She noticed an unknown number that had been calling her for thirty times. She raised her head to take her car keys. Out of the blue , he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her to the car door. She sighed, shutting her eyes in pain.
"What the hell are you doing here?"
He yelled, while his eyes were making sure she was safe, she released herself.
"Mr. Rafael it's not a logical way to treat me like this"
She said in a rocky tune, as she crossed her hands and looked to the other side, he tried not to spoil her, many people were watching them.
"Get in the car"
He said with a great anger that his nerves were about to explode, she blinked for some seconds.
"Hey..."
She whispered but he cut her speech with a loud voice.
"Get in the fucking car"
He yelled at her, to took the key from her fist, then he forced Erika to get in the car, she was surprised by his reaction, she could just damn the day that she knew him, no one ever treated her like this.
He drove as if chasing the air, she felt her heart was about to escape, she stared at him. Although he had a handsome face, he was so rude.
He stopped in front of a nice house not far from the company she was in, then dragged her upstairs while she was resisting helplessly to let go of him.
He threw her on the bed; she took her breath and made her hair back; he unbuttoned his upper shirt.
"Mr. Rafael..."
She yelled his name, and he shut her up, saying: "Not a word; why did you leave the house early in the morning? You did think that I might..."
He approached her with his thumb, eager to mark her delicate skin. She slapped his hand, saying: "You what? Are you afraid that I may commit a crime?"
She gazed at his eyes, which were bleeding as her words affected him, and he suddenly showed that playful smile.
"Erika, relax"
He whispered, She did not imagine that he had saved her the night before. She tried to kick this thought out as soon as possible because she did not want to feel grateful for him.
"What is the point of your hilarious drama? Mr. Rafael, how could you force me to come here?
She shouted at him; he was in a doze at her beauty, without make-up, and she still looked charming. She grabbed the car keys from him and headed to the door. She slammed it as loud as she could; that sound awoke him to run behind her downstairs.
"Erika, Where are we going? We need to talk."
He asked as he raised his voice; she did not give him a damn; she drove her car without looking behind; he kicked the stone before him; she was the only lady that made Rafael Diox himself chase her like nuts.
"Fine, Erika, you want it the hard way."
He whispered, and while Erika tried to calm herself, she parked the car near a theater, her face turning red.
"Were we just in the same room? Ah!"
She hisses in pleasure, to cover her face to hide that lusty smile, then she shocks her head.
"Now I don't have to follow those forgotten feelings of the dark ages"
She whispered, then breathed out, slowly she made herself back to her normal self.
"This is Rafael Diox who does not believe in love, he is just the bad type of playboys"
Erika said while getting out off her car, her eyes met with his, she cursed this day, she quickly tried to move from his direction.
"Hey Miss, Why are you avoiding me? I see you're still alive, that's good"
He asked as he gazed at her head, his look was full of sorensen, she seemed exhausted.
"If you're chasing me please stop this, it's no longer amusing."
She said, he laughed after hearing her, she was surprised by his reaction, most of the men will go crazy just to hear her soft sweet voice despite her mysterious beauty.
But this man dared to look her in the eye as if she was like any normal thing he used to watch every day.
"Miss, I don't believe in fate and coincidence, but to meet with you like this, is a relief"
He stated as she dropped her jaw, as if her words mean nothing to him.
"Just stay away from me"
She whispered while she ran her steering wheel. She thought: " Huh! What strange doctor? "
