Everyone was startled by the sudden shaking of the ground. It is as if the world is threatening to be destroyed itself. Arcueid who is connected to the current Earth has instantly spotted the reason for that earth shattering phenomenon, she couldn't help but stare at Lawrence awkwardly about this. "Uhh… an Ultimate One has descended to Earth…?" she muttered also confused by what she just witnessed.
"HAH?!" most of them reacted like that. Of course that is normal, what would you say when someone just dropped a massive bomb at your ears like that. "Are you certain?" Altrouge who was quiet the whole time asked. This could be a bad news, one descending here means that Gaia has given permission for them to land.
Shiki waited for the word of Lawrence who obviously already know what is happening. "Hn? What should I say in this situation? The reason they are here is obviously for me… sigh. Just how desperate are you gonna be Gaia?" he muttered while sighing. He had to admit that he already cause many divergences in this world, still he has been behaved right? How could it try to kick him away?
"Then I guess we already have the solution in front of us" Altrouge said staring at Lawrence who just looked away. "Umu! As expected, we should chase them away right?" Nero puffed her chest as if suggesting that she was right. "We can definitely do that however the consequences will be huge. No one here has the ability to destroy an Ultimate One just by snapping their fingers right?" Altrouge asked.
The way of Nero was immediately rejected in her mind because it was far too rough. Despite not having any interest in this world, she still wants to keep it intact. She doesn't want to enter the Reverse Side after all, it is boring there. To Altrouge's surprise though, everybody didn't answer and just stared at Shiki and Lawrence.
"…Surely you bunch are jesting." She said slowly changing her understanding of this group. Even she had to exert her full effort that will no doubt destroy a portion of Earth just to kick a Type yet here they are stating that these two could do it without any problem. She will have a hard time believing that thing. "Nah, Shiki can easily erase this whole Universe if she wanted. Well, for Lawrence… let's just not talk about it" Arcueid answered her question.
Altrouge narrowed her eyes at the two, "Indeed… I can understand the daughter of Akasha being able to do that but… never mind. That way is still not feasible. The whole solar system will change once most of them are dead, we can't have that" she said still refusing that solution. Upon hearing this Lawrence chuckled lightly.
"Even Crimson Moon fears me huh? Fine, fine. You need to find a way to resolve this situation within a single year Brunestud. We will definitely return. Still, how boring everyone of them fearing me." Lawrence pouted like a child which made Shiki giggle. "Eh? What's happening? What is everyone talking about?" Nero tilted her head as she could not keep up with their mystery way of talking.
Anastashia on her side nudged the Emperor, "We are leaving this world. Gaia is scared of Lawrence's presence you see. Right now, it is trying to do a suicide bombing on us" Anastashia patiently explained making Nero understand. "Ohh, I see. Umu! I am also getting bored of this world. Though I wish I could fight that Ultimate One or something" Nero said her dissatisfaction.
"Heh, wouldn't you just end up being turned into a meat paste? I mean, you are pathetically wea-" Anastashia was about to insult Nero when her hair was suddenly yanked. "You started it!" Nero shouted tightening her grip on her hair. The two went on their own world fighting like normal girls does, it was a sight to behold.
"A question…" Shiki spoke staring at Altrouge. This stopped everyone on their tracks because they are curious to what she will ask. Shiki is a peculiar individual after all. "Proceed" Altrouge said gesturing for Shiki to continue. "How will you fare against your father?" Shiki asked because she is also worried about this world.
If Altrouge's answer dissatisfied her then there is no choice but to stay in this world. She will be the only one who can hold them back after all. Altrouge stiffened for a second before an answer emerged from her mind. "He's a dead meat" she said confidently. This made Shiki smile as it surpassed her expectation. This should be enough.
"Alright, I am satisfied. What should we do next Lawren…? What the hell are you doing?" Shiki deadpanned at Lawrence who is giggling while talking to a cat? Lawrence ignored her as his attention was more focused on this cat. "Really? You can help me? At what cost?" he spoke to the cat as if speaking to something intelligent.
His action weirded them out however they stayed quiet because Lawrence always do strange things. "Ohh… an infant one? That should be easy" Lawrence nodded his head in confirmation. "Fine, we have a deal" Lawrence patted the head of the cat while feeding it magical mango. The cat purred at the sight of the mango before it meowed loudly.
Then through that star-specked darkness there did come a normal sound. It rolled from the higher rubbles on the surroundings and from all the jagged peaks around was caught up and echoed in a swelling pandaemoniac chorus. It was the midnight yell of the cat.
Verily, it is to the moon's dark side that they go to leap and gambol on the hills and converse with ancient shadows, and here amidst that column of rubbles everyone heard their homely, friendly cry, and thought of the steep roofs and warm hearths and little lighted windows of home.
Now much of the speech of cats was known to everyone, and in this place Lawrence uttered a cry that was suitable. But that he need not have done, for even as his lips opened everyone heard the chorus wax and draw nearer, and saw swift shadows against the stars as small graceful shapes leaped from rubbles to rubbles in gathering legions.
It was a stupendous sight while the moonlight lasted, and everyone had never before seen so many cats. Black, grey, and white; yellow, tiger and mixed; common, Persian, and Manx; Thibetan, Angora, and Egyptian. All were there in utter calmness and there hovered over them some trace of that profound and inviolate sanctity which made their goddess great in the temples of Bubastis.
"L-Lawrence… what is this?" Anastashia questioned staring at this spectacle in front of her. The cuteness overload that the cat provided is making her falter. Everyone had the same question on their mind so they just stared at the man who obviously had the idea. Lawrence smiled at the legion of cats and snapped his fingers.
A crack in space opened as his storage was opened. There laid tens of thousands of mangoes that slid swiftly. The cats who maintained a majestic persona couldn't help but break their characters. The sight of these mangoes were too delectable for them to stay calm. "What are you waiting for, eat. This is your first request after all" Lawrence gestured them which they accepted.
Without hesitation, the cats pounced at the mangoes taking one each. They held it dearly before taking a small bite of it. And just like that, the endless hoard of cats purred consecutively. They seemed to enjoy the mango that Lawrence has given them. "You guys asked what they are right? The simple answer would be cats" Lawrence said turning to his companions.
This confused them even more but since he explained it like that, it means that they are beings that one must normally not spoke to. They have learned from Lawrence that there are beings out there that are even more terrifying than Shiki. They could not fathom what kind of beings those are since imagining a being much scarier than Shiki is already impossible for them.
All they know is that one must not talk about their names or thought of conversing with them because they are all idiots. Lawrence even went far to mention that those beings would destroy universes just for fun making them horrified. "I see…" Shiki said staring directly at the legion of cats. It intrigued her however not much to the point of interest.
She already witnessed a similar but more frightening scene. It was the scene of millions of Lawrence playing a prank with her. Nothing could even scare her anymore. "So? Are you guys ready?" Lawrence grinned like a child. He seemed happy to meet another one of his kinds again, "Umu! Take us to a great adventure Master!" Nero exclaimed.
Lawrence clapped his hands as the cats readied their feet. Without any warning, they just grabbed each of their clothes and leaped through a mysterious portal that lead to nowhere. "Where are we going again?" Arcueid tilted her head asking. Lawrence flinched for a second making them scared of the notion. "Oops, I forgot…?" he said chuckling nervously.
"LAWRENCEEEEEEE!!"
